STRAF,, a Member of Design Hotels

Although the hotel has an excellent location and great design/decor, the service received especially as a Marriott Platinum member was absolutely pathetic.
1. We had to wait for hours and didn't receive an early check-in (almost a basic expectation as an Elite member). Had to ask multiple times, and always received the same response - we can't commit to anything before 3PM
2. The behavior of the staff at the reception was extremely rude and dis-courteous. Absolutely not up to the level of a Marriott or any other 4/5-star property
3. One of the huge art decors in our room was loosely fitted and it almost fell on me. I reported the same at the reception, and instead of obvious understanding, the reception staff told me they will send somebody up to the room to assess the damages. WOW! Thankfully, there wasn't any damage and the guy fitted the piece properly this time and apologized for the earlier inconvenience.
In conclusion, I would never book another stay at this property nor recommend to anyone. And the property should really invest in proper training to their reception staff on basic customer service and courteousness.
