Clean but the room was tiny. Basic amenities ( TV and hairdryer and towels) no fridge, kettle available. Central location. The room had horrible soundproofing ( u can hear every step of your upstairs neighbor and every door slam ) The street where the hotel is located was a bit noisy.

Space was very tight fitting but functional. It was for an overnight stay - fly in and drive away in the morning so it suited us. We don’t hang in a room it’s just to sleep. So would recommend. Always presentable, clean and friendly company. Appreciate the compliment water and tea. Not all hotels in the chain offer this.

Looks unassuming on the outside but very impressive on the inside. Staff were very accommodating to the point they let us print out our boarding passes just minutes before check out. They provided us with directions to the nearest attractions which made the journey easier. Rooms were neat and tidy, air conditioning was on full blast and the beds were comfy. Very centrally located. Can walk you most places. We had an issue with our room, and the changed it. Same size but better layout. The air con in this room was far better. Great breakfast. I am familiar with “NH Hotels” and i usually always have a great experience. I ate at the restaurant, the food and the service (in particular the waiter “Sheriff”) were very good. The service of the hotel in general was very pleasing and everybody is friendly. Sadly on my stay here, an unpleasant smell came out of our bathroom. But in general I would not advise you against staying here.

This hotel is amazing. We stayed at this hotel back in August. The room was very clean. They served a full course buffet, and custom made breakfast. This was the best breakfast I ever had. They were very nice at the front desk. I like the location, situated near restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, gelato bars, and cafes.

Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly. The room we got (family room) was large and well maintained. Breakfast was great. However, the AC wasn’t working properly and we had an unpleasant night. Hotel is 5 min from subway stations and in a few minutes you can reach most places in Milan.

Fantastic hotel all around. We stayed rather impulsively for one night, but the staff made us feel like we were regulars. Courteous, attentive and always available. A minor issue was resolved immediately. It goes without saying that the next time we’re in Milan, the Principe will be our temporary home. It is undergoing renovation and the incredibly friendly and helpful staff will immediately upgrade you to an already renovated room given the availability. Have a bit of an interesting stay of 5 nights. Hotel definitely need to update their rooms. Fixtures are old and very used. Even though I got upgraded, the room seems like it has been unused for a long time. There was dust on switches and the hot water took forever to get hot. I don't recall ever being made to feel so special in a hotel. The staff were excellent. Other hotels should strive to be more like the Grand Doria Hotel. The staff here are excellent. Everything about our stay was great, the food was delicious, the service was fast, kind and polite. We arrived earlier and were checked-in rather than made to wait until the correct time. They also have underground parking, but it is paid\hour. The hotel is within walking distance of many metro stations and 5 minutes from the Milan Railway Station, which was perfect for our trip plan. Very clean, helpful staff, and close to the airport. On a staff members advice, we walked the first evening until late--we felt completely safe, which may reflect the character of the city. The room was nice in both standard and clean. Service at the front desk was stellar also. Breakfast experience was a big detractor. Pastries, bread and fruit was on a buffet line - but all other things (coffee, eggs etc) had to be ordered from the table. Quality of the scrambled eggs was really bad, fried eggs ordered over-easy came undercooked sunny-side up and the hot beverages came out cold.

Had an overnight here due to plan train cancellation. Considering in is a 4 star, I found a great deal on Agoda - something like 150€ for 3 people. Service and reception is good, helpful. Wouldn't stay longer than 1 night; the area is close to the train station so not the best. All good in any case.

Great hotel! Walkable from the train station, very friendly staff. Couldn’t figure out the shower and literally 2 minutes after I called the front desk, the engineer was at my door to help me. We also asked for a bucket of ice and it was to us right away. Rooms are big, modern and very comfortable.
