The Florence Hills Resort & Wellness in Pelago

I booked this hotel based on the information provided online, but unfortunately, many important details were not mentioned. The hotel is located outside the city, with no easy access to shops or central areas.

There was no elevator, and everything was stairs, which made carrying luggage very difficult. No one was available to help. The room lacked basic amenities such as slippers, drinking glasses, bottled water, or even a phone to contact the reception.

The restaurant service was very poor, and the food quality was disappointing.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel experience was horrible!!!
1. The hotel is located in a remote area, high in the mountains, with narrow, winding roads that are nearly inaccessible without a car, and taxis are difficult to get to.
2. They refused to let us in. We arrived at 1:00 AM, and although the check-in time was by 11:00 PM, which we understood, a local couple who arrived with us were able to check in without any problems. The staff were very friendly and even escorted them to their room.
3. The staff treated us extremely rudely. They refused to answer the phone, didn't understand English, and repeatedly yelled at us, trying to get us to leave, and even swore at us. It was pouring rain, and they made us stand in the rain to negotiate. But when they heard we wanted to cancel, they immediately changed their tone and said, "Come on, come in and check in quickly," like they were herding animals.
This treatment was appalling. It was both unprofessional and inhumane, and completely unbecoming of a four-star hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was a nightmare.
1️⃣ The location is terrible – it’s up in the mountains with winding roads, and nearly impossible to reach without a car.
2️⃣ We were denied check-in. Although we arrived at 1 AM and the hotel policy states check-in should be before 11 PM (which we understand), a local couple arrived and checked in at the same time without any issue. The staff treated them kindly and even escorted them to their room, while we were left outside.
3️⃣ The staff were extremely rude to us. They didn’t answer the phone, didn’t understand English, and kept yelling at us to leave. It was pouring rain, and they still made us stand outside in the storm while negotiating. When we said we wanted to cancel the reservation, they suddenly changed their attitude and rushed us inside, saying “fine, fine, go check in.”
This treatment was discriminatory, unprofessional, and inhumane – definitely not what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel.
