Staying at this hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Florence. Experiencing modern and luxurious amenities inside a historic building in the heart of the city created such a beautiful memory.

From the moment we arrived until check-out, everything was excellent. The reception staff were polite, professional, responsive, and very welcoming.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh coffee every morning.

The location is perfect—close to the train station, shuttle, shopping areas, restaurants, and all the main attractions.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with historic décor that gives you a very special feeling.😊

If I return to Florence, I will definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

This hotel was amazing! The service was impeccable. It was also extremely kid friendly. Upon arrival they gave my daughter a bunny stuffed animal as a gift. They also had the crib set up in our room with a baby bath toiletry kit! I would love to stay here again!!

Fantastic stay at Hotel Santa Maria Novella! We were surprised with an upgrade to the Honeymoon Suite — the only room with a balcony overlooking the square. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located within walking distance of the train station. We loved watching the nightly performances in the square from our balcony. Water pressure and temperature were amazing, though be cautious getting in and out of the bathtub. Friendly, attentive staff and a great breakfast. Old-world charm meets modern comfort. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Santa Maria Novella. The location couldn’t be more perfect—just steps away from the train station and within easy walking distance of all the city’s main sights.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from check‑in to check‑out, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding—offering both delicious Italian pastries and a great variety of savory options to start the day off right.

Our room had a patio and was very spacious but the highlight of our room was the shower: excellent pressure, plenty of hot water, and a truly refreshing experience after a day of exploring.

Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable, convenient, and memorable visit to Florence!

Nice hotel just minute away from train station. Average breakfast. Close to city centre.

Excellent hotel close to the train station. The design of the hotel is beautiful, very classic and classy. Staff are very helpful and provide recommendations of places to see. Toiletries were high end Floris products. The one downside was while the view we had of the square and church was gorgeous, the windows weren't very sound proof so the noise at night did wake us up. Would recommend bringing ear plugs. Breakfast was good too with a reasonable selection of pastries, cereals, fruit and a small selection of hot food (scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon and mixed veg). Would definitely come back again!

Located 5 minutes walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella Station
It was very convenient to bring my luggage from the station, and it was nice to be able to walk to major tourist attractions in Florence, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

We much enjoyed two nights stay in the Santa Maria Novella on October 2024
Three rooms in Villa were very spacious and comfortable for 4 people.
The hotel itself is lovely, classy, classic but new. Breakfast room is lovely, with a great meals. Roof top is great with views of the Duomo, the piazza of the famous and amazing church of Santa Maria novella.
It's a fast, easy walk from the train station.
Few blocks away from the heart of the center. All staff were very helpful!

Staff very helpful and friendly. Reception staff very welcoming. Umbrellas were provided when it was raining. Santa Cocktail Club at the Bar begins at 6:30pm. Tables outside (more for smokers) and a few inside. Excellent drinks and appetisers. Room Service Menu at very bare minimum, but still very good. Rooms are very nice. Queen bed very comfy. Breakfast is brilliant. Served until 10:30am. Tip - ask for your coffee when you see the breakfast staff.
