Hotel La Meridiana, Perugia1 / 50
8.2
Perugia, Via del Discobolo 42 🧭 Map
The hotel is very nice. Rooms are fine, although you can see that they’re not too new. Food is very good: breakfast and especially dinner. But what I liked the most are the people working there! By the end of my stay my car battery died. Although it was a Saturday the most helpful reception man found a local mechanic, had him come and start the car and even take the car to his nearby garage, despite...
Nice staff , clean and quiet rooms .The location is impractical though. If u come with public transport u have to take a 15min walk over a street where people do not care how they drive. Also you won’t be able to join nearby restaurants by foot, google maps gives you paths that are not walkable.
Great hotel and nice people. If you planning to visit Perugia and feel real Umbria, stay in Meridiana Big parking, nice meals, swimming pool clean, isolated from noise
Amazing hotel in Italy, I've been in a few hotels in Italy and this one is the best!! Very clean, room size perfect, bathroom size perfect, reception excellent service, very polite staff all over the hotel. Very recommended!!!
The rooms are nice and clean, so are the lobby and outside areas. The corridors are a bit run down and could use new carpets
Very very basic place , not enough comfort for 4 stars. Powder juice and powder eggs for breakfast. Would go only if there is no other place to stay

I stayed at the hotel for six nights (October 14 to October 20) and loved everything about it. It is an excellent hotel with the most pleasant ambiance. The rooms are clean, and the staff at the front desk are very friendly and helpful (they spent 10 minutes with me to help me change my train ticket; I was very impressed. Two big thumbs up from me!
Interesting hotel with free parking and fantastic breakfast. Surprise was massage chair in the room, that was nice, but worked quite weak. Water in the shower didn't go in the drain well. The room was big. A member of personnel that worked at the reception and bar was a bit confused and said to us that he doesn't know how to make the drink we ordered, and that we have to tell him what and how he has...
I really recommend hotel Gio - sophisticated decoration connected with wine and music, rooms very nicely arranged. Swimming pool on the roof was a really good entertainment. Close to the historical beautiful city center of Perugia. Personel very professional and helpful. Food was really good and high quality, big choice of Italian dish. Gnocchi di Tartufo in the hotel restaurant was exquisite 🤌 🌞
Nice place for cyclists visiting Perugia. No problem parking the bicycles in one meeting room for the night. Swimming pool at rooftop is good to refresh, before taking the minimetrò to the centre. Walk to the metro is not so nice along big roads.
Wonderful service in the breakfast restaurant and the food was delicious every day for a week was different and well presented
Perugia is wonderful. This hotel is central to town and has restaurants and grocery within 200 meters.

We liked the room was very clean and warm enough for the period of time when we visited, it had nice surroundings, the staff was great and treated us nicely even though we arrived later than expected. We also had a breakfast included which was delicious, rich and diverse.
Stayed here for 6 days for the recent jazz festival. A really great spot. Wee bit out of the city centre but easily walked. Staff very nice; extremely helpful. Room well appointed. Good Aircon; essential at this time of year. Decent breakfast provided. Go stay!
Great room, good staff, great rate Bad news or good news first? Let's start with the bad, just to get it out of the way: There were a couple of things that were misleading on their website, which were the shuttle bus and the hotel's distance from the city center. On the website they really promote the shuttle bus, and that it's available to the guests free of charge from the train station to the hotel...
It a fantastic hotel New wing and old wing that a big difference Breakfast area was in the ballroom More food variety Hotel room clean and tidy Location at the heart of the city Front line staff was warm welcome That was a bit difficult for the big coach parking
Good reception services and comfort rooms. Really bad wi-fi, the place where is served the breakfast need some improvements and more attention with cleanness.
This is a great stop when you are doing 5 star high price hotels in Venice, Rome etc. and want mid way stop and breathe of fresh air to help your trip budget. Stop here. Eat amazing food across the street with a great bottle of wine for 50eu. It's clean, there is parking, people are nice, rooms clean and large, TV, wifi, rooftop lounge (BYOB but so what amazing view). You can't go wrong for price

This hotel is in the perfect location in Perugia. It is just at the edge of city center, making everything convenient. Several times during our stay we just took strolls up to the fountain area. Perugia itself as a tourist area didn’t seem like much at all. We used it as out base for touring the area but if we were to do it again we would not stay in that city. The hotel rooms are large and the beds...
Pros: Great location at the end of the main pedestrian walking street and opposite the Rocco Paolina. Hotel has amazing views, very friendly breakfast staff, attentive concierges who take the car to and from the garage efficiently. Rooms nice. Bed very comfortable. Stayed in room 234. Cons: Breakfast offering was pretty good but some of the 'hot food' was cold by 8am so not very desirable. Shower...
Old-fashioned hotel in an excellent location. Most of the old-fashioned elements I enjoyed: good service, multiple staff members, traditional room with comfortable bed and pillows; but there were some things which could do with updating: a lack of sun beds, no roof terrace to speak of, air conditioning which wouldn’t turn off. The air conditioning point was particularly irritating as our room (12...
Our senior university group from Madrid stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of May. Attractive hotel in an excellent location within easy walking distance of everything in the upper town and right next to the escalators which take you through the incredible Rocca Paulina to the lower part of town. Extensive buffet breakfast; comfortable beds; very helpful and friendly staff throughout the hotel....
Centrally located 5 star hotel in a historic building. I stayed here for two nights as recommended by a friend but frankly I thought the overall maintenance and quality of service were that of a 4 star hotel. Except an elderly receptionist, all other front desk staff were very matter of fact but the breakfast staff and food were great. The room itself showed signs of decay and to me it did not measure...
Beautiful location in the heart of the town! Even has a small gym to give you a chance to workout. The view from the location on the hilltop is amazing. Literally steps away from a nice walking area with numerous restaurants and shops. Great to walk around the town as it’s has a great vibe! but not super crazy busy as the big cities! This is a gem for sure!

I was recently at guest at the Plaza Hotel and I would like to express my gratitude to Marta and let you know what exceptional customer service she provided I was staying with a large group, but had to return to Canada earlier than my group by myself. Marta was kind enough to find a bus that would take me to the airport with no transfers. I was nervous about finding the bus terminal so Marta took...
Everything was Perfect, kindness, the rooms were clean and cozy The restaurant was great And the service was more than I could imagine, I forgot something very important for me, and they shipped and did everything so that I could have it back Thank you Daniela, Monia, Marta and the whole crew!
Pleasant staff. Fantastic restaurant. Building a bit old but clean and comfortable nonetheless. Pool facilities acceptable. Maybe 3 1/2 stars as it has seen it's heyday
Ok hotel. A bit dated and the beds were very full of springs. Also the air conditioning had issues and wasn’t working correctly so it ended up being warm. Luckily there was parking there but I went during the off season. It’s a bit car to walk into the downtown but it’s possible about 30 min each way and it is a steep incline at a point. I probably wouldn’t return here. Also there was no lotion in...
Well too pricy for the quality they gaved us, my 3.stars are only for the people working in the reception, very kind and professional, the rest is a not even 2 stars service, from morning breakfast that is poor and not the best quality, like ham and salami smelling bad, to bakery products that are not that fresh as you may expect in a 4 stars hotel!.. Should we talk about the beds?!? I think I never...
Nice and comfortable hotel. With good arrangement for breakfast. Rooms has nice washrooms with a bath tub. Mini bar is also in the room. Special charging socket is there which is always on even when you are out of the room. This helps you to charge your device even if you not in the room. Staff behaviour is also very helpful. Hotel maintains proper hygiene.

Upon arrival we are entertained by a very accomodating personnel, we get an easy check in coz i made already it on line. Then, easily we get into our room, and its very amazing, spacious and complete everything.. We spend a grandious night, sleep well and eat our heavy breakfast... Easy checkout follows then.. Thank you Best Western mostly the personnel..
After staying at few below average places, this was really good. Only thing is, it is few miles out of the central. We had a car. We didnt mind. Good breakfast, Nice shower and most of all very powerful WIFI.
Very good hotel, located a bit outside of town but perfect if (like us) you're traveling by car. We stopped in Perugia specifically because our son wanted to visit the Perugina chocolate factory and the hotel is 5 minutes by car from there. The hotel itself is very nice (much more from the inside as it might appear from the outside), the staff - particularly the lady at check-in - were very friendly...
Nice hotel. Good service and good atmosphere. Close to nice places just a little distance from old downtown like 15 min. But still nice place to stay
I've visited 4 conference rooms. The bigger one is like a cinema/theatre actually with a many seats. The other ones are smaller and are pretty comfortable, with a projector and good sound.

I really enjoyed this hotel, it was nice and new while being very centrally located. There was also a lovely balcony for nightcaps. Service and breakfast were also very good as well.
Had an amazing stay at Sangallo hotel! Hotel service, food, air conditioning, all the experience was too notch! The reception is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are super tidy, and breakfast was always a refresher. Will recommend to everybody who is willing to stay near the city centre and enjoy the beautiful city of Perugia.
Our only disappointment was that we didn't stay longer. Bed and bath were well furnished and very comfortable; it is evident that the refurnishing focused on convenient details and important energy savings. The importance of not having the hall lighting on during the evening is huge - and also assures there is no light bleeding at the room door. We loved the convenient location to the historic center...
The hotel is situated nicely as it is not directly in the old town. So it is easily reachable by car and it helps that the hotels is working together with a parking just around the corner as parking is difficult in Perugia. Our room was quite modern and had a nice view. The walls are a bit thin and we heard quite a lot from other rooms. The bed was a bit short for me, I would say its length was about...
The location is great, a bit outside the historical center that is too busy. The room was spotless clean, all services were amazing (had the pool booked for my partner and I in a blink). Special mention to Umberto, who welcomes you at the hotel. The nicest and most helpful person I have met during my holidays.
Pros *Location *Friendly and competent staff (bar one..I'll explain below!) *Very good selection for breakfast *Small but nice pool despite odd plastic floor *Good selection of gym equipment *Mini fridge in room Cons *Parking *TV services with just basic Italian channels *No coffee/tea facilities in room. Elegant dining in the grand 'Victorian' style. We wanted a fish dinner in land locked Umbria and they served up an amazing Branzino al sale.
Clean place. Excellent central location for visiting the center of Perugia. Competent and very friendly staff. Small but cozy room with everything you need, clean bathroom. Highly recommended. The only downside is that it doesn't have private parking, but if you're lucky you can park in the adjacent square.
Great hotel in a wonderful location. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the rooms were good. I couldn't get the air conditioning to work properly but I was only there for one day and coped. The hotel staff booked taxis to and from the airport and they arrived within five minutes. I would stay here again and the breakfast was good too. The restaurant at the hotel served really good...
Staff was helpful, breakfast was very good, very clean, right in the main Piazza and the price is great. Get a taxi from the railway station. The only issue is the shower is quite small for us American's 😀
Amazing lunch! The pile of almond cookies and the generous Vin Santo servings were a sight to behold. Not to mention the generous and delicious serving of black truffles on the eggs and pasta. Highly recommended. Cannot comment on the hotel.
The hotel is nice. The rooms are large, comfortable, clean. The staff is attentive and helpful. One drawback: no Parking.

The hotel is not very far from Perugia city centre, on the outskirts. The chocolate theme is everywhere you look, outside and inside. nice hotel, for sweet and chocolate lovers, neat and clean rooms, abundant breakfast, friendly staff
Very professional staff, big clean rooms, excellent coffee. As a welcoming gift you get chocolate Euro coins. Thumbs up!
Pretty good. Close to the railway station. Walking distance to the city centre, albeit quite uphill. Bus stop right in front of the hotel so the public transport can be easily used. Specific "chocolate" design. Lot of chocolate stuff for breakfast - kids will love it. A roof pool together with a little garden and a restaurant - very cool. I can recommend it.
Very good hotel for the price we paid which was 64€ per night. There was one woman at reception that was rude but the rest of the staff was great. The pool on the roof was very clean with lovely views as well.
Positives: the pool was great; not too cold and not too warm. We were there in August and it was close to 40 (100F) every day. Bring your own towel btw. Room was a little dated but clean. Plenty of free parking under the hotel and around it. Air conditioning worked well, as did the wifi. Bed was firm. Not really any street or hallway noise. Negatives: It is not really within walking distance to the...

Incredibly beautiful 18 room hotel (converted from castle) in super picturesque setting. Staff was extra helpful (and English speaking). Included breakfast was very good, dinner was exceptional.
The hotel & grounds were outstanding. Our room was lovely and the pool was perfect in the hot weather. The staff, especially the night staff who served us Negronis as we stared at the stars, were extremely helpful. However, the overall experience did have a small disappointment which tarnished our impression. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary & wanted to eat at the restaurant only to be told...
We had the most amazing time and stay at the Castello and wished we stayed longer! Just to say we actually slept in a real castle is incredible!! The grounds and castle itself was amazing with so much to see. They had a great pool with hot tubs and the view of Peruigia from the pool and deck areas was stunning! The restaurant on property was also top notch and service was excellent.
This was my happy place. Just incredible to stay in a 14th century castle were the Templers lived. Just outside of Perugia. The inside and outside will blow your mind. The breakfast and staff were fabulous. Beautiful views, you name it. It had it all.
It was cute and pretty old castle hotel! I loved their estate and food. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The staff were very nice and helpful. Their pretzel+croissant was my favorite!
Absolutely gorgeous places, and wonderful staff. Still only 4 out of 5, because we suffered both nights a lot from the noise of our neighbors above; sleeping was possible only with ear plugs. We had a panoramic room (i.e., a rather expensive category), and still the noise isolation was almost non-existant. We would happily return, but inquire beforehand about a room with no noise problems.

I have stayed at Fortuna on several occasions in the past, both alone and with family. The building has real atmosphere since the building is from the 1300s. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms with amenities, very quiet area, excellent location, attentive staff and a delicious breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of all the highlights of the city.
I stayed here for work. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower water was plenty hot when I wanted it, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The view from the roof is breathtaking. I was here in February so I wasn’t spending time out on the beautiful rooftop patio, but I will when I come back during the summer months. Knowing little about the are, I asked for a dinner recommendation and the...
Great great great rustic little spot. Hotel inside is really incredible in terms of architecture, space and art. The room was rustic and the right size. I wish my bed was a little larger, as I had a single bed, which literally meant single single, as in 'fall asleep, forget where you are and roll over face flat to the ground'. Price for quality was top. Would suggest this to all travels who need a...
The staff is extremely helpful in all matters, from car parking problems to recommending local quality restaurants. The rooms are neat, tidy and thoroughly cleaned upon arrival. If I ever come to Perugia again, I will, without any hesitation, book here again.
