Grand Hotel Pietra Ligure

An island of cleanliness and calm in a town that is neither. Truly one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in and the staff is excellent both in the hotel and at the bagni, across the street.
Lovely breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order. Excellent facilities in the rooms, beach/sea view is great. Sound insulation to the outside is good, to other rooms it’s OK, weirdly to the hallway it’s not insulated at all so if you have a room by the lifts, you can get woken up by someone getting off with a suitcase. Off the elevator, of course.
Parking garage not ideal for people with poor parking skills, but takes Volvo XC90 or E-class Merc.

The hotel's location near the beach made it the perfect choice for a seaside getaway. The stunning sea views from our room were a highlight of our stay.

I truly reccomend this hotel. Everything was amazing. Especially Sir Sebastiano - waiter is a wonderful person. Very professional, cultural, helpful and charming. We hope to come here again!!

+ Room/hotel is clean and new
+ My room was very quiet. There is a review mentioning the balcony light being being on at night. It's true and when I noticed it initially I got a bit p*ssed off that I couldn't turn it off. But eventually, in our case, it was not a problem with the black out curtains.
+ Breakfast was pretty good and waiters quick
+ Hotel is a bit at the end of Pietra Ligure and you need to walk 20-30 min to the center. I like it this way, but if you like to be in the middle of the action maybe it's not so much for you.
+ Very pleasant rooftop
- Elevator a bit slow
- Parking fee, even for the outside parking. I don't know about peak season and weekends, but during the week in September you can park outside just in front.
- Just a detail. For being one year old, anything with glue is starting to peel off: the signs in the elevator, the decal stickers on the entrance doors, even the plastic floor on the pool.

Great hotel, friendly service and very clean rooms

We had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel - thanks to the lovely employees and the nice hotel with different pool areas, modern interior and great sea view - we decided to extend 2 nights more as planned ! We really can say it is the best hotel in the area and for everyone who like to enjoy and have a friendly atmosphere!
