This would be a 3(at best 4) start hotel in any other part of the world.
The basic rooms are extremely tiny. There is not enough room to open 2 suitcases in the room. Considering that they are charging 700+ euro+/night during high season, this is not acceptable.
The walls are also super thin and you can hear everything going on in the hallways and the adjacent rooms.
We wanted a toothpaste and the ones they gave us had expired in 2021!
There is a huge hill/stairs at the hotel entrance and no shuttle whatsoever. A small golf cart would've made everyone happier, but again customer service is not really their top of mind here.
Breakfast: The options are very limited and taste bad. The smoked salmon was black and about to go bad. Some of the tomatoes had already gone bad!
I am thinking that with the Google reviews and the 5 stars, this hotel ran a very good marketing campaign to achieve its status but it certainly does not live up to it.
We were very unhappy - definitely stay away from this property.

I just love the vibe! Old charm and attentive service. The views are just magical. Only thing that could be better - arrangement of sun beds in beach club. Sun beds shouldn’t be booked with towels for the time they are not actually occupied. At least the ones that are close front by the water. And you could put couple more floating sun-beds - it was creat addition this year to find! Will be back! 🙏🏻

An expensive negative surprise.
Upon arrival we had realized that the next 5 coming nights wouldn’t be as described by the hotel.
The premises were completely outdated, it felt like timetravelling back to the 1970’s;
The smell, the furniture, the old dirty dusty carpets full of stains, the decoration, the TV and most importantly the bathrooms (shower inclusive stains of mold) and the outdoor pool/beach area that needs a serious maintenance and makeover.
Charging people around 1000€ per night for a deluxe double room during high season and marketing an illusion of a 5 star palace hotel is just inappropriate.
On another note, the staff is really helpful and tries everything to make the guest’s stay as pleasant as possible.
Overall the hotel could have much more potential if the management would reconsider their current mentality and reinvest to catch up in time and hygiene.
We would certainly not recommend to visit this place.

It’s a very charming hotel in one of the most beautiful area with the sea and port Rapallo view. We want to thank all staff for a very good service! Breakfast the same as a dinner were tasty and well-served.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were unbelievably kind and hospitable (they upgraded our room since our room was not ready on time-shoutout to Marie). The drinks and food were great. Giuseppe from the bar takes care of you. The location is awesome- you’re within walking distance to downtown Rapallo which is very charming. I will definitely be coming back and I’ve already recommended this place to family and friends.

A nice hotel , with a very classic Italian interior . The staff are friendly. Welcoming . Although the rooms are small , but the customer service and the housekeeping makes up for that . Rooms always clean on time , and the staff always at your service . The view itself is breathtaking , and you have nice views of the sea and mountains as the hotel is located uphill .
The old town is a walking distance of around 5-10 minutes depending on your pace, and you just need to walk down the steps and on return it’s a few steps uphill .

breakfast has very little choice and is the same everyday. Only one type of scrambled eggs from warm dishes. We asked for something else, so the waiter got angry. The better rooms are small and outdated, need renovation. We were celebrating a special day and asked for a nice view, but there was construction going on downstairs and we could hear noise. The place is beautiful, very clean everywhere, lots of artwork in hotel.

Very nice hotel with tons of worth museum artwork, the staff was very friendly with us and our dog, the room was beautiful with splendid view on sea and city on the balcony. Bed was very comfy and king size. Amenities could be better brand and flat tv was without Netflix or airplay. Nice breakfast. Heated infinity pool was a must as well as jacuzzi with Portofino lighthouse view. 10min wal from city

Beautiful hotel and very nice staff. We stayed in this hotel in February and were offered an upgrade to a room with a sea view. Really really nice room and views. We totally recommend it. Breakfast was also good. It was just a pity that the beach club area was closed but we understand it was because of the season.
