Hotel Astoria

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria in Genoa.
The entire staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful – you feel welcome from the very first moment. The rooms are simply excellent: modern, comfortable, and very well maintained.

Especially convenient: for those traveling by car, there is a parking garage nearby. For check-in and check-out, you can even stop directly in front of the hotel, which makes arrival very easy. Another big plus is that the staff are truly pet-friendly – our four-legged companion was warmly welcomed as well.

We felt completely at home and can highly recommend this hotel and its fantastic team. Thank you for a wonderful time – we would be delighted to return!

This is a well-run hotel with friendly staff that make you feel right at home. The room we stayed in was huge and stunning. Everything about staying here was wonderful. I’d love to come back.

Comfortable bed, close to train starion. Frontdesk was very friendly and helpful with questions. Free minibar was a nice touch.

The location is not far from the port, passing the commercial center and the old town. The design is stylish and clean. The room is spacious and bright.

I've stayed in many hotels in Italy, but the Astoria is hands-down the best! The rooms are well-organized, fully equipped, and clean. The architecture is stunning, and every detail is thoughtfully designed. The staff is warm and attentive, and the service is exceptional. It's also conveniently located near the square. I highly recommend it!

Had a great 5 night stay at the end of June 2025 at this hotel with my daughter. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Alessio on reception was always happy to help with recommending beaches and places to eat. Another member of reception helped me to get English Breakfast teabags! Everyone was really friendly and happy to help.
The room was lovely - huge, comfy bed and lovely bathroom and I was able to ask for a kettle set. Air con was very effective and welcomed! The only small thing I would say is there were no drawers or full length mirror but it’s a minor point and we survived! Free minibar in the hotel with water, soft drinks and snacks refilled every day.
Location was great - we were 5 minutes from the station which meant we were easily able to visit 3 other beautiful places! Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants close to the hotel and about a 20 minute walk down to the port.
We slept really well and didn’t notice any noise as others had stated other than occasionally hearing fellow guests but nothing disturbing.
Would highly recommend a stay here if you’re travelling to Genova and I would happily stay there again.

We spent a couple of nights in the hotel in May and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and most welcoming. The hotel is a short walk up from Brignole station and central for city exploration.

The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We would recommend Hotel Astoria as a place to stay in Genoa.

Hotel Astoria – Best Stay

Hotel Astoria was a fantastic experience. The historic lift adds a unique, charming touch, and the entire place is spotlessly clean. The free minibar was well-stocked. Everything was just perfect — a great mix of old-world charm and modern comfort. Highly recommended!

The front desk service attitude was very good, and they proactively told me that the minibar was free. The hotel is in an old-fashioned architectural style, very clean, the sound insulation between the rooms is OK, and the sound insulation of the doors is average. The toiletries are of the CULTI brand, and the slippers are linen, but they are delicate and very comfortable.

Great stay at Hotel Astoria Genova! 🏨 The building is beautifully restored, blending classic charm with modern comforts. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped 🛏️✨. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout our stay 🙌. Location is excellent — just a short walk from the train station and city center 🚶‍♂️📍.

Only small downside: breakfast could offer more variety 🍽️, and soundproofing between rooms could be improved.

Overall, a solid choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended 👌
