We chose Belmond Splendido to celebrate our wedding. We were only 30 people, but it felt grand in beauty and emotion.
The view, the flowers in my room, the elegance, the warmth… everything was just perfect. But what truly made it unforgettable was how they cared about the little things.
We had a beautiful tasting to make sure we loved every dish before the celebration, and on the wedding day, while I was getting ready, the chef personally came to my room to review the menu, ensuring every detail was perfect. That care and attention meant the world to me.
The service was not only professional — it was heartfelt. They made everything magical. Even the cake was a special surprise.

Fantastic experience overall. Beautiful room, lovely view, delicious food and among the very best service that we have ever had. Concierge arranged lovely trip and guide to Cinque Terra. Expensive hotel but worth it.

Splendido is truly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The views are absolutely breathtaking, the service is impeccable, and every corner of the property is full of charm and elegance. It feels like a dream from the moment you arrive — peaceful, luxurious, and timeless. I’ll never forget this experience.

We were at the hotel bar for the evening, and had a 9pm reservation at the hotel’s restaurant in town, DaV. However, when we tried to get hotel’s shuttle at 8:50pm, we were told to wait for 10 minutes maximum for the shuttle. Yet when the time come, the hotel said that we were not the guest of the hotel and they need to prioritize hotel guests. We consumed at the bar and had reservation at the hotel’s restaurant, how does that disqualified us from being hotel guests?
The valet boy and the front desk manager (white male) was very rude and told us to get a taxi ourselves or wait another 20 minutes for another shuttle. Even though we arrived first to wait for the shuttle. So rude and in no way representative of the belmond service!

One of the most beautiful hotels in the world. The location, step up, service, food — everything is exquisite.

I was lucky enough to visit Portofino in July 2024 and had the most wonderful dinner at this hotel. Prearranged months in advance, requesting a table outside and what I got was beyond amazing! Sat overlooking the iconic harbour view was one of the best experiences of my life and I cannot thank the team responsible enough for letting this happen. Truly a dream come true, thank you Hotel Splendido ❤️❤️

stayed a few nights. booked the cheapest room which was like 1k+ (the new normal i guess) first thing i heard was very loud americans on the terrace. we were sent up into the attic which felt a little like the place they send picky guests. (we saw a couple we also see at villa d este a lot who are also a pita.) ok so the room sells for 15k a night i say id freak out if i paid that and was presented with it. the entire place is a scam. maybe maybe a 4 star hotel but more a 3+ star overall. the pool is over chlorated, the food idk just not great. no beach. weird beach club in the next town open to the public. its just all off. id say do it once in a life for a night or two just so you can say you did it. but be warned. better off chartering a boat for half a week and having them pull up in the cove and going to the hotel for a tennis lesson. thats what the arnault sr. dose too.

The hotel staff is very rude and hostile. While parking they started a discussion and even started yelling. 2 grown men against a young girl, I felt very unsafe. When we wanted to turn the car around and leave one guy litterly told me to shut up (I was explaining that we are just going to turn the car around). Would not recommend. This is not how a 5 star hotel should operate. For the next time: per favore sii educato.

I went just to enjoy a nice time before lunch and I haven't words enough to describe the people working there, just how nice and keen to the detail they were, it was marvelous to see how good they made you feel. One saw me smelling the different flowers and we talled for a while about the different scents and plants they had. The place is obviously astonishing, the landscape, views and how have they designed the experience. Prices are reasonable to be honest but i went there just for a drink.
