Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino

Wonderful place to have lunch, service impeccable food divine.

I went just to enjoy a nice time before lunch and I haven't words enough to describe the people working there, just how nice and keen to the detail they were, it was marvelous to see how good they made you feel. One saw me smelling the different flowers and we talled for a while about the different scents and plants they had. The place is obviously astonishing, the landscape, views and how have they designed the experience. Prices are reasonable to be honest but i went there just for a drink.

We had a few great days at this amazing resort; driving up can be very tight! Be aware or be ready to back up! We booked with Am Ex, but they dont seem to really honor the benefits, no upgrade or hotel credit! But the place is beautiful and people were great so we let it go! This property is much quieter than their other Mare property in town; we found the service to be impeccable for the most part! Our concierge Alessi was most helpful with our deep knowledge of the region and our Cinque Terre trip planning, Tania, for the reservations, and Kiana's attention to details were all most impressive. We could not say that for our experience at their Dav Mare seafood restaurant in town, simply not nearly the same level of attentiveness! The pool is saltwater, and Enrico was great in attentiveness. Julian helped us with the rental car tech issue! Our room was small for the price and its too bad we did not get the proper communication for the upgrade but as Inmenrioned the staff did their best, management could do bette perhaps! We did tey the pop-up spa and would not recommend it, some work to do there on figuring out the service and the actual massage therapy, but it is a beautiful putdoor setting, though no bathrooms at the spa! All in all, we had a great time and hope to be back next summer

Absolutely the best hotel in Italy across the board. Service, food, rooms, location are all outstanding!!

To the 5 star rating it is necessary to add the luxury L, which the sign correctly shows. The word “iconic” is indeed overused, but I think it is the most accurate to describe this place with a rich history of luxury tourism in Liguria. Everything is perfect, the differences, the extra touches are made by the staff, super professional and impeccable quality of service. Obviously everything has a price and Hotel Splendido certainly isn't cheap, but if you can, it's worth it!

The best experience and staff in Portafina. The hotel is beautiful but the staff are absolutely amazing. ANDREAS the bar manager is the best. Cannot thank him enough . We had gone from the UK and Andreas made sure we had the best experience. Cannot thank him enough

Portofino was the first destination for our trip to Italy last month. Arriving at Splendido after an incredibly long day of travel was absolutely incredible. The views from check in (and our room, and the restaurant, and the gym) are absolutely stunning! The room was cozy and well equipped with a dyson blow dryer and the service throughout our stay was top notch. The breakfast buffet at Belmond hotels is always something that I look forward to and this was no exception. My only note would be that our room was right above the bar area so we could hear the music in the evening until about 12/1 in the morning from our room. If this is something that would be bothersome you may want to request a room further from the bar when you make your reservation.
