This is the best kept secret location of the Italian Riviera!! Away from the hustle of Portofino, but a lovely 20 minute hike or hotel shuttle will take you to the town. We stayed 3 nights in August and could not have been happier with the hotel and service. Everything inch of the property is very clean and every member of the staff was polite and helpful. The concierge reserved all of our dinners, rides to/from the airport and Portofino, and an incredible boat trip which saved a lot of stress. Piano player at the night bar was a nice touch. It has an amazing garden and is right next to the sea. The concierge is very helpful and helps you organise activities. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are very comfortable, and some of the rooms have a wonderful sea side view. Warning - this is NOT a 5* hotel. If like us you opt to stay in the residence for space and privacy, you'll find yourselves staying under a residential flat with a child running around overhead late into the evening and 1st thing in the morning. Very close to the train station and central area. Rooms are big and modern. The service is great. Only downside is that the hotel is split between to areas, the spa area and some of the rooms are located in a different building then the main building which isn't very comfortable, specially if your room isn't located where the spa is. But other then that, it is a really good hotel.

Warning: this is not a five star hotel. I think the reason there are so many negative reviews is because the five star is misleading. If it was a four star people would have rated this place better. Wonderful hotel with great amenities. Staff is nice and helpful. The sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and cold room were excellent and we used them many times. Very easy walk to the harbor/Beach and many local restaurants.

Overall a solid place to stay, yet very overpriced. Big plus for spacios bathrooms and the engaged staff. Regarding the beds I can assure you from travel experience in 3rd world countries: These DO NOT come short in giving you a 3rd world experience. North Korea provides better beds, without a doubt. Even in the Swiss military I've had more comfortable beds, it was a shame.

We got rooms with a view of the railway station and of course the view was disgusting and you could hear the trains!

Faultless experience! This beautiful hotel has the best views of Santa Margherita and Portfino. Our suite with balcony and sea views was spacious and beautifully decorated with 2 bathrooms and a separate sitting room. The staff were excellent and breakfast on the terrace was stunning. For 4 days in May 2025 it felt like a fairytale in a palace.

It's halfway up the mountain in Genoa, a little far from the attractions, about a 20-minute walk. There's nothing fun in Genoa, so it's suitable to rent a car and drive from the beach. The town next to it is quite pleasant.

The hotel’s location was in a more residential area so was quieter than other hotels in the city centre. It took only about 10mins walking to get to the historic city centre though. Hotel room was very spacious and clean. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. There’re a few eateries and bars close by as well as a convenience store. Very beautiful, convenient transportation, good service. But the laundry service is not good. I sent a piece of chocolate to be washed, and it was returned to me as if it was not washed at all. Parking is difficult. The front desk asked you to park nearby, and I got a ticket for two days.

This Hotel was , without a doubt, in top 1% of places I’ve stayed. The service is amazing, the room is beautiful and well appointed and the free continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. We are staying two nights before leaving on a Transatlantic cruise.

We love it so much! We have chosen to stay here before and after the cruise because it is so close to the cruise terminal.
