Beautiful hotel, surrounded by gardens leading to the rocky beach. From the Windows of the rooms overlook the Bay of Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino promontory. A great place to relax surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.
Location: 500 m from the centre of Santa Margherita and close to the tourist port, 40 km from Genoa airport.
Consists of one 3-storey building.
Only 68 rooms.
Beach: rocky beach public platform in 50 m from the hotel (1 coastline). Umbrellas, sun beds: free.
Meals: buffet Breakfast; lunch and dinner – a choice of 4 menus, buffet of salads and appetizers.
Pets allowed on request, for a fee.
On the hotel territory: Spa and Wellness center, a la carte restaurant on the beach, the hotel restaurant with a panoramic, sea view bar, Luggage storage, paid Parking, garage charge, conference room

I traveled with a group of 14 friends after a wedding and stayed at Hotel Continental and we had a lovely stay! Firstly the staff was incredibly accommodating, welcoming, and kind (and funny!). They helped to set up a special dinner for our group on the terrace for our last night which was so wonderful and the food was excellent. The location is also perfect and I’m so glad we stayed here in Santa Margherita vs Portofino. We were a short walk from the train, the docks and all restaurants and shops. Lastly being right on the water was a great bonus! Highly recommend!

Stayed a few nights here the staff is amazing, had a few issues with wifi and after talking to the front desk they promptly resolve with a wifi extender went from 5 Mbs to 50 MBs. Rooms were immaculately cleaned and refreshed every day. The staff for every interaction be it breakfast, bar, dinner was amazing.
I highly recommend the on premise dinner at 7:30 every dish was a masterpiece. From scallops to steak to ravioli ever was top notch and my family was very impressed.
Next time we are in the are we are definitely staying here.

This place is FANTASTIC. Kind’ve a hidden gem a short boat ride north of Portofino in Santa Margherita which, in our opinion, is a better town to stay in for multiple nights. The hotel views are incredibly beautiful, staff is very friendly and helpful, the private beach club is relaxing and gorgeous, and the air conditioning is strong and cool.

I simply cannot say enough good things about this beautiful place. The views are stunning, there is private access to the water, and the food is fantastic.
And most of all, the people here are wonderful and the service is the best I have ever received! It was a rainy week and rather than leave early, I opted to stay because I didn't want to leave their warmth, cute sense of humor, and charming care.
Stay here and have the best vacation imagineable in the beautiful Santa Margherita Ligure. 💜

We are not satisfied with the service provided because when changing the room, the receptionists gave the wrong information about leaving the room, which caused a problem for us, so we decided to leave. Regardless of that, they charged us 50 percent of the price of the new room for which we would have to wait for 4 hours, and it was agreed transfer during the reservation. After that they charged 223 euros more than the actual service, we accidentally noticed a mistake, returned from the road to the hotel for 45 minutes and waited for a refund, which they did not return, and it was paid in cash, and it will be refunded to the account. We are sorry is that it turned out that way because the other services are good and the position of the hotel is excellent.

Stayed in one of their brand new suites. Everything and everyone was EXCEPTIONAL. Escorted to our room, tour of the grounds, free breakfast, valet parking, and dinner reservations. Food was amazing. Even the beach chairs and umbrellas set up to our liking. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Having stayed at numerous 5 star hotels all over the world, I can confidently say that this is my new favorite. Every single detail about our stay from start to finish was absolutely exquisite. The service/staff were incredible. They were kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food was delicious. We also loved the location of the hotel, with the downtown of Santa Margherita being only a 5 minute walk down the hill. I wish I could live at this hotel! Can’t wait to return.

For a solo traveler, it was perfect! One of the best vacations ever. Somehow the people manage to create a welcoming atmosphere that is at once really nice without being fussy. The restaurants were so good, I couldn't help going back.
The balcony overlooking the sea and the port, with the palm trees and twittering birds became an enchanting happy place. The little walk into town worried me at first, but it really isn't far. Wish I could stay more!

Extremely unhelpful and inflexible. We had one night booked here but unfortunately I got sick just before. We tried to move the booking for the week after but they refused to accommodate, so we ended up having to cancel and losing half of our money. I understand you need to have this sort of policy to guarantee business if people really do just want to cancel the booking, but in certain cases there should be the flexibility to move a booking. Really disappointing.

This trip has been a delight. The rooms are great and very reasonably priced in the off season. I am here celebrating my birthday and the majority of the staff have been very accommodating with a few exceptions. I needed to make reservations for my birthday lunch and dinner, and was informed that this would be difficult as it is the off season and many places are closed. Sijin at the front desk went above and beyond to get a reservation for a beautiful lunch in Portofino on the water. If you need someone to help you sort out arrangements, I highly recommend going to Sijin if he is available. He was so kind and helpful and was a major reason why my birthday was a superior day. Grazie!
