The hotel was incredible. Amazing location and stunning views. The pool was excellent. We were even served fruit while enjoying. The staff is excellent. The breakfast fantastic and the time and location was a perfect home base for enjoying the beach, a boat ride in Cinque Terra and local shopping and dining. The family room was a little quaint but there are lots of room types to choose from so take your time. This property is a true gem owned and operated by a family that values experience and high quality. We will be back!

We used Hotel Vis a Vis for a welcome dinner a couple days before our wedding.

We worked with Simona and found that we kept getting upsold for a bigger, more expensive, room in our email correspondents. When we checked in, reception actually told me that they did a complimentary upgraded for our room as a wedding gift. A half hour later Simona greeted us and asked again if we wanted to change our room, I told her that reception already did but if she wanted to charge extra then don't worry about upgrading. When we got our keys, our room was the original room booked. The "complementary" upgrade was removed.

The welcome dinner tasting and the food actually served at the welcome dinner was different quality. The meal served at the dinner wasn't as good: the Pansotti had zero walnuts, it was like a bland cheese sauce, the beef in the main dish was undercooked and the potatoes were very big and soft (the tasting they were thin and crispy).

During checkout they did not take the deposit amount off the total, she had to call a different department to confirm and then after that was confirmed she did the math incorrectly and had to reverse the charge and re-process it.

The stay: the room was fine. It was small, but we were only there for a few days so we didn't need whole lot of room. The biggest issue is that the cleaning staff came in to clean our room when we had a do not disturb sign on the door. We were also right by the elevator and stairs so of course there were a bunch of people walking by while we were not dressed. Embarrassing and super unprofessional. We also didn't get any complementary water in our room, though it was given to other wedding guests.

Overall, I was disappointed in the meal but more so I was disappointed in our treatment, in the penny pinching considering that we gave them more business since a number of our guests stayed at the hotel.

On the positive side, I thought that the waitstaff at the hotel was top notch and I really felt that they did a great job.

We loved our stay at Hotel Vis a Vis. The location is breathtaking and the service was first rate. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffett each morning: the selection of fruit, cereals, eggs, meats, cheese, juices (and on and on) was exceptional, all set against a backdrop of the two picture-book bays. The staff at this hotel were all wonderful, with a special shout out to Esmeralda who warmly welcomed us to the property and set a tone of caring that we felt in all the staff we met.

Incredible view, very nice rooms and lovely welcome from the team. I strongly recommend this hotel located also at only 5mn from the city center. The restaurant and massages were also incredible so thank you for this very relaxing moment.

We had an amazing holiday experience! The hotel's service, the attention, and the friendliness of the staff were truly outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious, and the rooms were spotless. One of the reasons we came here was definitely our desire to stay at this hotel. The view is simply breathtaking, and it's a perfect family hotel! Many thanks to the entire team for making us feel like we were in paradise. I highly recommend it to everyone; those who want to have an unforgettable holiday should choose this place!

We had a wonderful one night at this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food in the hotel dining room was amazing and the views couldn't be beat. You can relax and never leave the complex, enjoying a relaxing holiday or going for a walk around the city.

We came there looking for a place for an aperitif: we found a spectacular place for both the environment and the service, and above all a spectacular view of the two bays of Sestri Levante. And then the bartender Angelo at sunset pleased us with a very original and excellent afternoon dinner, accompanied by magnificent sweets. To enjoy the view of Portofino and beyond.

We had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The food in the hotel dinning room was fabulous and the views can't be beat. You can relax and never leave the complex enjoying a quiet leisure stay or go out and about to explore the town.
