Exceptional Service and Breathtaking Views!
Our stay was marked by truly attentive hospitality. On our first evening, the restaurant was fully booked, and we shared a small table for dinner. The following morning, the staff thoughtfully reserved a breakfast table for us with a magnificent panoramic view — a gesture that perfectly captured their attention to detail and care for their guests. This hotel is far more than a place to stay; it is a place where you are genuinely welcomed and treated with warmth and grace.

Great location and rooms. Truly beautiful.

Mirko in the restaurant and concierge staff carry the hotel with their outgoing personalities and cheerful demeanour.

Bar and restaurant staff appear to just be going through the motions. First meal in the restaurant was amazing. 2nd evening was a disaster (Mirko wasn't on that evening). We never returned after that and ate dinner in the town.

My wife, our 11-month-old, and I had one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had at Vis à Vis. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out as some of the friendliest and most welcoming we’ve ever encountered anywhere in our travels. They not only made us feel at home but also went above and beyond in being so kind and attentive to our little one, which meant the world to us.

Our room was absolutely amazing—beautifully kept, comfortable, and a perfect retreat after exploring the charming town of Sestri Levante, which itself was a delight to wander through.

What left us speechless, though, was the view from the hotel’s bar and restaurant. It’s honestly hard to put into words—without a doubt the most breathtaking view we’ve ever seen. Sitting there, enjoying a drink while looking out over the town and sea, was unforgettable.

We can’t recommend Hotel Vis à Vis enough. If you’re visiting Sestri Levante, this place is a must.

We stayed for one week in a junior suite with two small children. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely rooms and a stunning view. We especially enjoyed the children’s pool and the well-kept outdoor areas.

Breakfast was excellent, and the food and drinks overall were of good quality. However, we struggled to find child-friendly lunch options, especially due to our child’s nap schedule. At Deck Zeus Sky Bar, only the snack menu was available during that time, and the staff always seemed stressed. On one occasion, they acted unprofessionally, pushing each other and arguing over table settings. A children’s menu on the room service menu would have made things easier.

Most of the staff were friendly, and the housekeeping team was especially thoughtful, cleaning around nap times. For families with small children, having a proper terrace would be a big plus, as evenings are often spent in the room after the kids go to bed.

A great hotel overall, with room for a few family-friendly improvements.

The hotel was incredible. Amazing location and stunning views. The pool was excellent. We were even served fruit while enjoying. The staff is excellent. The breakfast fantastic and the time and location was a perfect home base for enjoying the beach, a boat ride in Cinque Terra and local shopping and dining. The family room was a little quaint but there are lots of room types to choose from so take your time. This property is a true gem owned and operated by a family that values experience and high quality. We will be back!

We used Hotel Vis a Vis for a welcome dinner a couple days before our wedding.

We worked with Simona and found that we kept getting upsold for a bigger, more expensive, room in our email correspondents. When we checked in, reception actually told me that they did a complimentary upgraded for our room as a wedding gift. A half hour later Simona greeted us and asked again if we wanted to change our room, I told her that reception already did but if she wanted to charge extra then don't worry about upgrading. When we got our keys, our room was the original room booked. The "complementary" upgrade was removed.

The welcome dinner tasting and the food actually served at the welcome dinner was different quality. The meal served at the dinner wasn't as good: the Pansotti had zero walnuts, it was like a bland cheese sauce, the beef in the main dish was undercooked and the potatoes were very big and soft (the tasting they were thin and crispy).

During checkout they did not take the deposit amount off the total, she had to call a different department to confirm and then after that was confirmed she did the math incorrectly and had to reverse the charge and re-process it.

The stay: the room was fine. It was small, but we were only there for a few days so we didn't need whole lot of room. The biggest issue is that the cleaning staff came in to clean our room when we had a do not disturb sign on the door. We were also right by the elevator and stairs so of course there were a bunch of people walking by while we were not dressed. Embarrassing and super unprofessional. We also didn't get any complementary water in our room, though it was given to other wedding guests.

Overall, I was disappointed in the meal but more so I was disappointed in our treatment, in the penny pinching considering that we gave them more business since a number of our guests stayed at the hotel.

On the positive side, I thought that the waitstaff at the hotel was top notch and I really felt that they did a great job.

We loved our stay at Hotel Vis a Vis. The location is breathtaking and the service was first rate. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffett each morning: the selection of fruit, cereals, eggs, meats, cheese, juices (and on and on) was exceptional, all set against a backdrop of the two picture-book bays. The staff at this hotel were all wonderful, with a special shout out to Esmeralda who warmly welcomed us to the property and set a tone of caring that we felt in all the staff we met.

Incredible view, very nice rooms and lovely welcome from the team. I strongly recommend this hotel located also at only 5mn from the city center. The restaurant and massages were also incredible so thank you for this very relaxing moment.

We had an amazing holiday experience! The hotel's service, the attention, and the friendliness of the staff were truly outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious, and the rooms were spotless. One of the reasons we came here was definitely our desire to stay at this hotel. The view is simply breathtaking, and it's a perfect family hotel! Many thanks to the entire team for making us feel like we were in paradise. I highly recommend it to everyone; those who want to have an unforgettable holiday should choose this place!

We had a wonderful one night at this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food in the hotel dining room was amazing and the views couldn't be beat. You can relax and never leave the complex, enjoying a relaxing holiday or going for a walk around the city.
