Location: in a privileged location – the pedestrian area of the Central part of the resort of Sestri Levante, to the railway station of Sestri Levante, is 800 m, 60 km from Genoa airport.

Consists of a 5-storey building.

The hotel has 35 rooms.

Beach: own sandy, 50 m from the hotel (1 coastline). Umbrellas and sunbeds free of charge.

On the hotel territory: terrace (with sea views), wine cellar, restaurant (Baia del Silenzio on the beach), garden, garage (charge), cinema (transformirovalsya in room for business meetings for 15 - 20 people), bar (Karma Bar)

This is one of our favourite hotels on the coast, and during this cold and wet visit in March, it did not disappoint. We drove here directly from Milan airport, to rest for a few days to get over jet lag. We had a junior suite, the room was delightful, spacious and bright, with a long bath and Jacuzzi and balcony. The staff were very helpful and obliging, and breakfast was a good spread. The best part of this hotel is that is right on the beach and even with the wind and the rain, we absolutely loved our stay. Our car was parked by the hotel in a carpark nearby.

Spacious and luminous room with sea view and balcony. Spectacular location of the hotel basically on the beach in one of the most beautiful bays in Liguria. Very friendly staff and excellent service, including gratis room upgrade to the next category.

The location is really superb, on a quiet bay. The public spaces of the Miramare are attractive, and the staff is very professional. After my stay I wrote the hotel with some suggestions as all was not really up to par. I did receive a polite acknowledgement and that was it. I dont intend to return. The reasons why are several : during a rainy week the so-called cinema did not function at all. It would have been easy to put on two films, one in Italian and one in English with a happy hour...Our bedroom contained a double bed that could not be divided, and a sofa bed. I had specifically asked for two twin beds. I was told that that would require an upgrade costing approximately 50% more....just for the record our bedroom cost 250 euros a night and that was by booking directly as a friend had recommended the hotel. Small details do count: at what is termed a family owned hotel there was not even a welcome card with fruit or chocolate. It may be family owned, but evidently management doesnt seek customers who return. There are other hotels at Sestri Levante.

******BUYER BEWARE—DO NOT STAY HERE******* Before you read on, I want you to know that this is an authentic review from an authentic person. I thoroughly read the reviews for this place and noted the boilerplate responses from the hotel manager (who has been stalking my reviews and who I fully expect to write a rebuttal to this review). I ignored the adage “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” and spent so much money here under the assumption that the good reviews were legitimate and the bad reviews were illegitimate. Sestri Levante is a charming town and there are countless wonderful hotels that don’t charge guests €300 for them to sleep in a windowless attic and call it a “Royal Suite” or a “Junior Suite” (we eventually stayed at the Hotel Balbi and the bathrooms were bigger than the “room” we stayed in for 25 percent less than a “suite” here). UNLESS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE PAYING WALDORF ASTORIA PRICES FOR A MOTEL SIX, DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. Words can’t describe the experience we had here. I’ve travelled extensively and honestly NEVER ENCOUNTERED AN EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS. We were given an ATTIC ROOM WITH NO WINDOWS, a slanted roof that did not fit my 6 foot height and the entrance to which required a precarious walk along an unfinished walkway outside. None of this was disclosed when we booked this. They consider this a normal room in this hotel, it was not a discounted room, WE BELIEVED WE WERE BOOKING A NORMAL ROOM. The room was sweltering hot due to it being the attic in a tiny tiny room. When we checked in, we initially raised our concern with the front desk clerk and she apologized and assured us that they could move us rooms the following morning. The next morning, we came down to change rooms and were COMPLETELY GASLIGHTED BY THE STAFF. They first refused to change rooms, then they pivoted and wanted to shift us into a new room each morning so that we would have moved each day of our three night stay.

If you do make the mistake of staying here, DO NOT LEAVE THEM WITH YOUR CAR. The parking is not on site and they are not at all careful with guests' cars. I left something in my rental so I asked to access it. A "valet" walked me about 6 blocks and offered to drive me back to the hotel with my bag, which I thought was nice. IT TURNED OUT THAT HE DROVE ME IN ANOTHER GUEST'S CAR!!! Want to know how I learned that? THE VALET LEFT MY CAR KEYS IN THAT GUEST'S CAR AND DROVE TO ANOTHER CITY!!

Excellent stay !Very dedicated team. Breakfast was excellent. The spot is so amazing, with sea view in front of the hotel. the Suite Room is very clean. Congratulations to the management For sure, we will return back to this hotel to visit the Cinque Terre.

Beautiful interior and position on the beach spoiled by a culture of not making visitors welcome.. Whilst on a one to one basis staff were friendly and attentive it always seemed that the management internal rules put strict limits on this. At times it seemed that if you wanted anything out of the ordinary they could not help.. I also found it bizarre that there was no literature in the room to explain the basics, time of meals how aircon or tv worked , telephone numbers for room service etc - and most worrying - where the hell the fire escapes were ! We even had to ask reception for their number to then ask reception for the room service number - not exactly 4star hotel treatment

Hotel Miramare Sestri Levante is beautiful. Wonderful hotel, room, food, swimming and beach facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The beach area is beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Stay here it is the place to be!!!!

Ideally located on the beach in Sestri Levante. Walking distance to everything you could want to see and visit.

The bar area and common areas are a highlight of the hotel. The restaurant area is also very nice with beautiful views.

The rooms vary in size considerably. Bathrooms are the same. Some are snug some are more spacious. Make sure you ask when you book so you understand what you're getting (we had 3 different rooms due to the size of our family).

Service is great. You have a very invested staff that treat the hotel and the guests like it's their business.

The spa is great. Modest size but has many different environments to relax in. Hot, cold, wet, dry and everything in between. Would recommend you go to relax in between time at the beach ⛱️

The room alternated between sweltering hot due to it being the attic and freezing due to the AC blasting cold air into a tiny tiny room. When we checked in, we initially raised our concern with the front desk clerk and she apologized and assured us that they could move us rooms the following morning. The next morning, we came down to change rooms and were COMPLETELY GASLIGHTED BY THE STAFF. They first refused to change rooms, then they pivoted and wanted to shift us into a new room each morning so that we would have moved each day of our three night stay. All of these options, they insisted were going to cost us almost double the already OVERPRICED COST we had already paid through Booking. ThIS WAS NOT THE CRAZIEST PART. THE CRAZIEST PART was that the front desk clerk, Martino, kept saying that there was nothing he could do, that it was up to the manager. ALL THE WHILE, Andreoli, the manager, was sitting 5 feet behind him, refusing the speak to us. REFUSING! I kept asking if I could please speak with him directly, and he continued to refuse to talk with us, and Martino just kept saying that we should be interacting with him, but then claiming he, Martino, had no control, ‘because he is just a desk clerk.’ This was not a language issue, as I speak Italian and I heard Andreoli speaking perfect English. I have literally never encountering something like this in my life, where the manager is right there and refused to speak with us. IT WAS INCREDIBLY OFFENSIVE. When I raised the issue that the price they wanted to charge us for changing rooms was way over the standard price for the region, he said that Americans are wealthy and always willing to pay this cost because we earn so much more than Italians. If it were just a sub-par room, so be it. But I have never been treated this way while traveling, or been gaslighted in this way, Martino claiming that the desk clerk from last night who had offered us a room was wrong. Lastly, when we parked the car in their lot, they gave us a ride back to the hotel IN ANOTHER GUEST’S CAR! They lost our key in that car and now we are waiting for the hotel to take responsibility and get us our keys back. I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE. We are still in a battle trying to get refunded from the rest of our stay, as after this crazy strange encounter and the way we were treated, WE DID NOT FEEL SAFE STAYING HERE.

We come here almost every year and rooms are a bit nicer as they seek to position themselves as a resort-spa, but turned off by charging to use their beach without saying anything. €30 each to lay out on the beach. That’s absurd to be at a beachfront and charge to use their beach! Our room (the last that was left) had a telephone-booth sized shower with no shelf to put anything. They do park your car which we have taken advantage of but know it’s a little tricky driving in. The new spa is ok but I would not be all that interested in the grotto-like small pool. The restaurant is fabulous but they no longer serve dinners on the beach (white tablecloth) which was a big, big draw for us. This is our last visit to the hotel, just not as intimate and special.
