Albergo Miramare Hotel in Positano

From the moment you step onto your private terrace at the Hotel Miramare, you understand. This is it. This is the view you’ve seen in postcards and dreamed about. The entire, breathtaking cascade of pastel-colored houses tumbling down the cliffside to the sparkling Mediterranean and the iconic Spiaggia Grande is laid out before you. It’s a view that is simply priceless.
Our stay at the Miramare wasn't just a hotel stay; it was the core of our Positano experience. Here’s why it was so magical:
The Perfect "Sweet Spot" Location:
In a vertical town like Positano, location is everything. You can be too high (a brutal, leg-burning walk) or too low (no view). The Miramare is perched in the absolute "sweet spot." It's high enough for the jaw-dropping, panoramic view everyone comes here for, but not so high that you dread the walk. It was a comfortable (and beautiful) stroll down to the beach, the main restaurants, and the ferry port. This strategic location cannot be overstated—it's the perfect balance of view and convenience.
Timeless Italian Elegance:
The hotel itself is pure, old-world Italian charm. This isn't a sterile, ultra-modern hotel; it has character and soul. The public spaces are filled with classic furniture, lush plants, and beautiful, hand-painted tiles. Our room was spacious, elegant, and spotlessly clean, with a stunning blue-tiled bathroom. But the star, of course, was the terrace. We spent every morning with our coffee and every evening with a glass of wine out there, just watching the town light up. It felt completely private and impossibly romantic.
Service and Atmosphere:
The service was warm, professional, and exactly what you would expect from a high-end Italian hotel. The staff at the front desk were wonderful, securing us dinner reservations and offering great advice.
The breakfast, served every morning on a beautiful terrace dripping with bougainvillea and overlooking the sea, was a daily highlight. A wonderful spread of fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, and Italian coffee—it's the only way to start a day on the Amalfi Coast. The hotel also has its own beach club access, which makes getting a prime sun lounger on the busy main beach effortless.
Final Verdict:
Positano is an expensive destination, and while the Miramare is a splurge, it delivers value on every front. You're not just paying for a room; you're paying for the quintessential, heart-stopping Positano experience. It’s the place you see in your dreams. We would not hesitate to return and cannot recommend it highly enough. An absolute 10/10.

The room was adequate. Bed and pillows aren’t that comfortable, bathroom is fine. The balcony is the best, breath taking sea view. You r literally overlooking the port, beach, mountain and the city.

This hotel is amazing! The views from the rooms are incredible, the room itself was spacious and luxurious. The hotel staff were all so lovely and accommodating - I informed them I would be proposing to my partner and they provided a complimentary proseco and made us feel very special. To top it off the breakfast was exceptional with a view of positano while you’re eating! A perfect experience

The hotel is in a good location, the breakfast room is beautiful, the breakfast is rich, and the service is also very good. The only regret is that the price is a bit high. The last picture is shown on the Ctrip page. I stayed for three nights, but it is not actually provided. I hope Ctrip will not mislead me. It is recommended to stay for two nights. Positano is very small, and two nights is enough. The overall price of this place is very high. The room layout should be different for each room type and when booking. The facilities are slightly average. It is an old-fashioned building. I understand.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We love the proximity to the beach and the water. We had a great view from our balcony. The staff were fantastic, helpful, kind, and friendly. Can’t even begin to say enough about the breakfast in the morning. The food was the best we had our entire stay, freshly and intimately prepared.

Property was nice. Too many steps to get up to the main street. Its 146 steps to the surface. Other than that it was awesome. The views were fantastic...

Loved this hotel. Some of the best views from the dining room in all of Positano. Dinner at the restaurant was one of the best of our entire trip and the breakfast was outstanding. Shout out to Maria for going the extra mile for us every day at breakfast and for our dinner, making us a special honeymoon desert tray. Renato is a beast carrying those suitcases up and down all those steps. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, 10/10 would highly recommend.

Amazing hotel and staff. Delicious restaurant and their breakfast great too.They are super helpful they arranged our taxi services to Naples. Thank God this place has a porter to help with the luggage. Those who have stayed in Positano known how hard it is to walk down and up stairs with luggage. We stayed in the ocean view with a balcony room and it was beautiful! I would definitely stay here again.
