Hotel Marincanto

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Yes it’s expensive but it’s fabulous!

From taking a dip in the stunning infinity pool with the back drop of the multicoloured buildings of Positano. The azure blue Amalfi Sea, you really would struggle to find a more picturesque location. Breakfast buffet style was great lots of options and great coffee. Service was exceptional throughout!

Also parking is available on site.

My husband and I got married here in August 2024. From our wedding ceremony to the reception dinner, Antonella made sure every detail was taken care of. We had family and friends flying from all over the world and everyone had a great experience at Marincanto. The hotel has stunning views, amazing food, a private beach, a pool and multiple suite options. I would also recommend starting your honeymoon here, the hotel has many amenities and Positano culinary scene is exceptional. Again, I want to thank Antonella, Salvatore and the rest of the staff for making our dream wedding a reality!!

Rooms
The room (suite Lincanto) we stayed in was beautiful with a large patio/terrace overlooking the coast and included a view of the city.

Service
The service at Hotel Marincanto was hands-down one of the best experiences we've had, globally. Everything they did came with sincerity. They really made our stay in Italy a really good one.

Location
The location is amazing. You are a handful of minutes in walking distance from everything. This walking goes by fast because you are on the main road (I suppose you could call it that, it is 1-way) and the views are beautiful.

The staff and views make the hotel exceptional and difficult to leave. We loved our visit. Breakfast was amazing, dinner was delicious and cocktails were worth every penny.
A bit disappointed in room. There was a smell coming from the bathroom that was not good. The shower jets were inadequate and the internet was poor. We were there during 2 days of incredibly bad weather which I think contributed to these issues. We did not report this to staff because we loved our room anyway.
You will not receive better service or care anywhere. Each staff member is truly exceptional.

Visiting Positano has been a bucketlist item for us and Hotel Marincanto somehow made the experience exceed our expectations - it has earned a spot as one of our absolute favorite hotels and is an experience of its own.

Extremely romantic with unbeatable views, the view of Positano from Marincanto was by far the best we found during our time there. Marincanto is the only hotel in Positano that offers private access to the beach and we were spoiled trying to choose between enjoying the beach or the gorgeous infinity pool - both with stunning views. The on-property restaurant was excellent and the staff always made sure we had a spritz in hand 😉 The property is an easy walk into town as well, which is a huge plus for Positano!

The staff however truly made the experience impeccable. We somehow always returned to a perfectly made bed and the entire staff (reception, restaurant, beach club) became familiar faces during our stay. They were all incredibly warm and friendly, and it was clear they were deeply invested in ensuring we had a magical experience. At any other hotel I wouldn’t be surprised if any of the staff were loved by their guests by name (that’s how great everyone was!) and we connected with multiple staff members but Paolo truly captured our hearts. We always looked forward to his delightful smile and energy. He took wonderful care of us - ensuring we had reservations, recommendations and anything we could possibly need.

Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Thank you to the entire Hotel Marincanto staff and Paolo for a visit we’ll remember fondly for a long time, we can’t wait to come back!

Hotel location was a bit of a hike from the ferry but the view and getting away from the crowds makes it worth it. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to an amazing balcony room with our own terrace. Paolo at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful with suggestions, directions, and arranging porter services. Pool was a little chilly but that area and the view was very nice. We used the beach club daily. Having this option makes this one of the best hotel options in Positano. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Marincanto last week. We are not easily impressed and usually leave hotels feeling underwhelmed. That couldn’t be farther from the case at this hotel. From the moment we booked, we felt completely taken care of by the hotel. They helped us book taxis, transfers and reservations. When we arrived for check in, we were a sweaty mess (we hiked up directly from the ferry). They immediately sat us down with cold water, lemonade and Prosecco and a fan. Our room was absolutely stunning— more than we could have dreamed from the view to the terrace to the design of the room. The bed was the most comfortable in all the hotels we stayed in on this trip. The view was spectacular. We ended every night with a drink and a sweet treat on our terrace overlooking Positano. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options with a beautiful ocean view and wonderful service. The hotel offers private beach access with plenty of chairs and a bar. One of our favorite days was spent lounging by the ocean and swimming in the Mediterranean away from the crowded beaches. The staff at the hotel were kind, courteous and more than hospitable. The design of the entire hotel is romantic and beautiful. We will dream about this stay until we return again. Do not hesitate to book Hotel Marincanto. (And add an extra night or two to your time here. If not, you will wish you had!)

Hotel Marincanto in Positano is an absolute gem! The views from the hotel are nothing short of spectacular, offering breathtaking vistas of the Amalfi Coast that are worth every penny. The staff were fantastic—friendly, professional, and always eager to assist with a smile. The meals served at the hotel were delightful, adding to the overall wonderful experience.

Be prepared for a bit of a drive to get there; it can be a little nerve-wracking, but the stunning views along the way make it worthwhile. Once you arrive, be ready for a bit of a hike—there are about 300 steps down to the beautiful beach, but the descent is well worth it for the gorgeous seaside setting. Highly recommend Hotel Marincanto for an unforgettable stay in Positano!

Outstanding experience. Views from room & pool were amazing. Very clean. A/C works great. Private beach access. Breakfast was fantastic.

Staff are very friendly. Bar staff made delicious cocktails. I want to mention a person who went above and beyond each day to make our stay that much better. He made sure my wife and I were well taken care of the entire trip. Thank you Paulo.
