My wife and I have stayed in many a hotel, guesthouse etc and while not prissy, we do appreciate quality and elegance.
This hotel has left an indelible memory of love in our hearts.
Firstly the location and the views are utterly perfect. From the balcony you can see both the Italian mainland and Etna and the town around you. It really is a perfect location.
Second, the staff. They are lovely, attentive and can’t do enough to help.
Third the breakfast. I read about this on other reviews and thought “how good can it be?” but seriously its a full on antipasti and culinary smorgasbord. Absolutely loved it.
Downsides? Few really. The shower is OK but not amazing and some might not like the firm mattresses (we do).
There are perhaps half a dozen hotels around Europe we would rebook in a heartbeat if visiting again and this is now firmly added to that list. Brilliant.

I came here with my friends in June 2024 and we had an incredible holiday. It has a stunning view over the sea and the hotel itself is very pretty. You can pay a lot more for the same view in Taormina!

Relaxed. A little out of town (20 min walk) with Bella vista! Rooms clean and quiet. Breakfast fit for a king with various choices of yum sweets and savoury. Has access to Isola Bella in 20 minute walk downstairs. Either walk back or get the town bus. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel, everything is perfect. Amazing views, beautiful traditional Sicilian decor, rooms with AC. Delicious breakfast all freshly prepared. Easy walk into Taormina and also to the beach down some steps or by cable car. Staff very helpful, exceptional customer care. Highly recommend 😊

Amazing views and lovely staff !! If you book room 22-23-24 you will have this huge terrasse to yourselves (picture 1). 10 min walk and you are in the city centre. Lovely indoor area too if the weather isn’t the best.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights, but we stayed for 4 nights because we liked the hotel so much. The view, location, breakfast were wonderful. I would also like to thank the staff, they were all very helpful. My only negative comment would be for the beds. The beds were very uncomfortable, we woke up early almost every day and our back hurt. But I didn't want to deduct points for this. I hope the old beds will be changed next time we come.

Very beautiful surroundings. Great services and including staff. Breakfast was fantastic. Wonderful gardens in which you can walk around to see variety flowers.

We had a great stay in Taormina. We stayed in two different rooms at the Soggiorno and For the price of the rooms we felt it was good value. The location was excellent. Mid way between beach and old town. Lots of steps in this city unless you take a taxi. We loved the exercise! The staff were accommodating and they even offered us the honeymoon cabin for our last night. The breakfast was a nice every morning but bring your sunglasses as the breakfast room is extremely sunny! The views are stunning and you can see Mt Etna from the window too! Our second room seemed to be more updated and larger and we liked the room better but it was a courtyard view. The first had the patio with incredibly views. Both were what you would expect for a hotel its age. Quaint.

Fantastic stay at this hotel. Definitely top 5 hotels I have ever stayed in and would love to come back to. The building is decorated in Sicilian style, has sea view rooms and is within walking distance to the center of Taormina. The room we stayed in was larger than average and had a shared terrace on top floor. Service at reception and breakfast was great. Good selection of breakfast. Could not ask for anything more. Staying at Bel Soggiorno was definitely the highlight of our trip in Sicily.
