Hotel Continentale

We have been staying at the Continentale since 2016, always for long stays. This time was for 16 days and we always ask for and get the same room. We did our reservation thru emails and all went smoothly, with their responses being very quick. Once we arrived the reception ladies were very welcoming and friendly. when we had questions during our stay they were very willing to help. The remodeling was complete and I think they did a great job. Our room was always spotless everyday with ammenities always supplied. They have a wonderful outdoor cafe that we took advantage of every morning. The breakfast menu was very good but I will say that I preferred it when they did the buffet in years past, seemed like more options then. What I will say is that the server staff in the mornings was exceptional. We got to know most of them. But the standout among them was AYA. She always met us with a smile and two cups of cappucino. She knew everyday what we were going to order, always checked on us to see if we needed anything and really got to know us. She is a big reason why we enjoyed our stay there so much. The hotel is in the perfect spot to see everything in Trieste just by walking. Restaurants are very nearby and plentiful. It is a pedestrian walkway so it's comfortable to sit outside and not worry about traffic. We had more than enough room for 16 days worth of clothing and a very comfortable king size bed. Since we had family spread thoughout Trieste, it was very easy for them to pick us up from time to time for whatever plans they had for us. This is why we stay there everytime we come to Trieste to visit family.

The breakfast was good and the location is perfect but parking is hard and the bed had bedbugs unfortunately.

Would I stay here again? YES. Absolutely loved my stay here. Room was very clean, nicely decorated, good sized bathroom, safe, TV, coffee/tea, two cupboards and did not hear any noise from adjoining rooms. Superb location for us.

The air conditioning in the room was turned on very well. The hotel is in a good location in the city center, but the shops here close very early. There is nothing to shop for in the evening. The breakfast is good

Super central location. Breakfast is served at your table. Rooms are clean and elegantly furnished.

Perfect location in Trieste next to the biggest parking, practically in the city centre next door to shops and cafe's. Excellent breakfast, clean and cozy rooms.  

Frequent weekend awayer's we loved everything at this boutique style hotel. The staff and front desk were aware of our needs before we were. The vehicle valet parking truly convenient as parking in Trieste can be daunting if you don't know your way around. We loved breakfast and it was beautifully presented and cooked to order. We could have sat eating all day! The room was fitted with an amazingly comfy bed and pillows and the decor delights the senses. We will certainly return to this gem.
