Hotel Bonvecchiati in Venice

I am currently finishing out my stay at the Hotel Bonvecchiati, but I could not wait any longer to submit my first review in a very long time: I arrived and check-in was seamless. Young ladies at the counter are multi-lingual and nice. That was the peak of our stay here. Immediately after check-in, we were ushered off by a bellboy whom helps carry your baggage to your room. I was certain a tip would be sought out, but I figured, why not? We get to our room and there was this real awkward incident where the hotel employee held our key hostage until a tip was presented. He could’ve just left the key in the door or on the table of our impressively tiny hotel room. It is a so-called “matrimonial” room with windows that face into just a brick wall. I really hoped for some type of window scenery as advertised on Priceline other than a brick wall. I can deal with the 200 sq ft room and the “view,” but, what I can’t deal with is a fire alarm blaring at 0700. I called twice and was completely disregarded.

Reception isn't helpful. Rooms were adequate but nothing noteworthy. Pillows were hard and only 1 apiece, nothing to choose from. Bed was low and hard. Bathroom was dangerous. Breakfast was ok, but not very hot. Would not recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel but the service is terrible. The guys of the reception is not professional and disrespectfull ..Will be never back again..Money for nothing ..
