The breakfast staff are also kind and care about the food they serve and the aesthetic of the entire room.
Please know!!! this hotel is great, I did my research and knew that this hotel has stairs. We traveled with backpacks. Do not complain about hauling the luggage up flights of stairs. The hotel is a perfect location, the staff is perfection, the breakfast chef's kiss. Be prepared and accepting of the stairs. :)

1. The location is unbeatable. Your position is away enough from the highest tourist attractions (to avoid the seas of people). Yet less than a ~10 minute walk to Rialto Square, San Marco Plaza, and the Grand Canal.
2. Our room had A/C, which is an absolute must to have climate control in high temperates. Staff was very friendly, and shared great local recommendations.
3. The decor is very traditional Venetian, which we enjoyed. The aesthetic and amenities are more historic. If you want anything chic or modern, I recommend you look for a newer hotel!
4. There is no elevator, so be mindful of the stairwells you’ll have to climb to your room. The front desk itself is on the 2nd floor. The stair steps are historic, steep, and narrow. Each visit to our room was a swift cardio burst as top floor guests like us (in our late 20s). But probably a nightmare if you’re out of shape or have a lot of luggage.
5. Our room was directly over a water canal, meaning it was quieter than being above a busy walking alleyway. In addition, our window was immediately across the former accomodations of Wolfgang Mozart. That was a beautiful piece of history to be close to.
