It's impossible to understand if a hotel is good or not in a couple of days; this isn't a 4 stars hotel. It's old, with old furnitures, an old lift. Ive Used this hotel 3 times, always stayed in a sea view room. The rooms were fairly dated and not modern. Pet peeve of mine is that the double beds are just two singles joined together, so you will end up falling through the middle where the two beds join depending how you sleep. For me was most important the location. Location is Top. Reception 24 hours. Sadly towels were old. Zimmer also was a bit old. But for 1 night was good. I took economy room. I could check in for half hour earlier.

An incredible hotel nestled in a beautiful location. I stayed in the deluxe room and therefore what I experienced such as the outdoor balcony with a sea view can unfortunately be enjoyed by a few. This is a good hotel with a great location, as long as you get into the modern side. I really feel sorry for the staff and managers trying to juggle disgruntled guests. We stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and felt at home. All the facilities we wanted, a generous size room with a great view and no direct sunshine. We usually ate out, but the hotel meals we had were adequate and inexpensive.

I came only half a day because I needed a very quiet place for teleworking as I had an important online meeting. I was very happy with the room. It was clean and I had coffee and water. I enjoyed the quietness of the room and it offered me good conditions to pass a very good online meeting. The internet signal was very good. It was a good option to come here for teleworking.

We stayed at the wonderful Palazzo Violetta in Sliema, from May 25th to June 1st. Our stay couldn't have been any better! Our apartment was absolutely incredible. Perfect small hotel. Clean and comfortable with lovely friendly staff. Good position and quiet for sleeping. Nice little pool area and outside seating. Super value for money. A lovely stay.

The hotel is located close to upper part of the Island with nice view to Sliema bay. The rooms are clean, but the fridge is paied extra. The breakfast is simple, without warm meals. Be careful, the rooms are equipped with English type socket. The swimming pool is nice.

The hotel is in a suburban area, but not far away there are very cheap businesses to buy food and rent scooters. Within 15 minutes by scooter you can be in St Julian's, Sliema or Valletta. The staff is nice, the room was big and clean. The swimming pool is not very big, but enough to relax. Good value for money.

Simple breakfast, should have a few more options (including a toaster!!) Fridge in the bedroom, but closed with a lock (??). TV did not work, and was not even fixed during my stay! They forgot to clean my room one of the days. Booked (and confirmed by email) a twin room, received a double room (but to be honest they did resolve the issue almost immediately). On the positive side, the staff are friendly...

Cathy was extremely helpful and provided recommendations on everything including what to do and where to eat etc. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was great for a cooling off dip after we returned from our daily adventures. The breakfast was good and included local treats. The location is grat for the local restaurants as well as getting into Valletta.

The property was just the sort of place we like to stay at - loads of character and was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a lovely mix of healthy Mediterranean food. The location was good as well. It was close to St Julian’s but far enough away to not have the noise associated with being close.

Beautiful house furnished with an excellent taste, friendly and welcoming hosts. Ask Cathy for any local hints she's a walking encyclopedia :).

Lived at the Sundown while working in the shipyard, made a lot of good friends at the sundown great people great place, go back every year when I can. You people that moan about the place get a life.
