It's impossible to understand if a hotel is good or not in a couple of days; this isn't a 4 stars hotel. It's old, with old furnitures, an old lift. With a great restyling probably can become a good hotel. My room, for example, was not a normal room but a very small apartment. The position of the air conditioner Is criminal! In front 9f the bed??? Ok, the wifi was good, the crew very helpful but 4...
Ive Used this hotel 3 times, always stayed in a sea view room. The rooms were fairly dated and not modern. Pet peeve of mine is that the double beds are just two singles joined together, so you will end up falling through the middle where the two beds join depending how you sleep. The aircon or heating didn't work at the time of my visits, fortunately it wasn't peak of summer. There's loads of...
They dont have laundry service also if you ask for ice is like you are asking a favor
Dont stay here, on the internet looks good but is not. Bad rooms, old gym, slow wifi and only at lobby
The rooftop swimming pool is a great place to relax. It offers commanding views of the city.
get a room by the sea if you wanna reach the door easily:). hotel is old but good

For me was most important the location. Location is Top. Reception 24 hours. Sadly towels were old. Zimmer also was a bit old. But for 1 night was good. I took economy room. I could check in for half hour earlier.
Extremely friendly stuff, I booked my room for 4 nights and they always cleaned my room, I got always fresh towels, it was really nice. I got always a smile when I left and when I came back. Thank you for everything!! Next year I am coming back for sure!!! 🤗
Great location! Friendly and professional staff, always happy to help and provide support. Clean, spacious room. 24-hour reception, daily cleaning, shop open to 11pm in the loft part of the hotel entrance. Super close to attractions (night life, bars, restaurants, pool, etc), we walked around during the road connection. They got vending machines on the ground floor with water, soft drinks, cigarettes...
Just finished a five night stay at St Julians Bay Hotel. I did not look at reviews prior to booking. I did read reviews afterwards and arrived nervous not knowing what to expect. I can honestly say, I had nothing to be nervous about. We didn't experience anything negative as detailed in previous negative reviews, other than I will admit the rooms are a little tired and could do with updating,...
Great sea views but the room we stayed in had a very bad smell. The lady I spoke to was not friendly and was disappointed to say the least. Shame because it could be a great hotel with the correct people running it. Customer service is key
Very cheap and we'll located bed & breakfast. Rooms are well cleaned and equipment of the room is new. Bathroom are modern and big. Reception crew are always kind and helpful.

An incredible hotel nestled in a beautiful location. I stayed in the deluxe room and therefore what I experienced such as the outdoor balcony with a sea view can unfortunately be enjoyed by a few. The attention to detail is what I appreciated about this hotel, as an example the pictures of some of the lights in the room. The food was incredible. Wow! The service by the staff and chef were awesome
A lovely hotel and the service was exceptional from arrival to departure. We had a sea view room which was awesome. The hotel was a real haven to escape the business of the area and with a number of great restaurants close by and easy access by bus, ferry etc. a great place to base yourself. The staff were great at arranging taxis when needed and suggesting places to eat etc. The facilities were superb...
Pros: Three nice pools, 1 indoor and 2 outdoor pools (1 for adults only). Well decorated rooms. Decent location. Rocco the customer relations manager is really helpful if you have any issues. I'd advise raising the issues with him as he will sort it out. Cons: They may provide you with a sea view room with 95% buildings, 5% sea (see attached picture of what I got!) it should be sold as a partial...
We spent a week at the Hotel, if we would return to Malta one day, we would choose this Hotel again , it's just amazing. I would like to highlight the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness all over the whole Hotel. Rooms are spacious and bright. There are 3 different pools - one of them is for adults only on the top of the Hotel, one area is for the families (with bar, restaurant, sunbeds...
This was one of our favorite hotels while traveling in Europe for 5 weeks. The room was spacious, clean, and the staff was amazing. We were pampered and well cared for. Thanks to the guest services manager for improving our experience and assisting us with an error that was made with breakfast. You also have to check out the spa area, the pool is beautiful and well heated. We will definitely stay here...
love to give it a 5-star rating, and it's almost there. One complaint I have of the room we stayed in was the toilet being in a different room from the bathroom was very inconvenient. There was also not a sink to wash hands in the toiler after you’re done, so you just have to walk out with dirty hands to the bathroom to wash hands. Also, the fridge is locked and will only be opened upon request. Apparently...

the room was super clean the staff was very helpful and nice the room also had everything you need for example towels, hairdryer, fridge... location is the best everything you need is in a 2km radius(supermarkets, restaurants, bars, beaches...) when we got there the hotel was just renovated so everything was super nice the price was also fair for the conditions and i would recommend it 100%
Overpriced hotel for the conditions they offer but it's worth the location. Don't book it for more than a night as the beds are very uncomfortable. We were told we will have a sea view but the trees were covering the view.
Stayed here for 7 nights and enjoyed it! The hotel could really use an upgrade (beds especially) but the location is perfect and the staff are friendly.
Good rooms and nice staff but breakfast is overpriced.
Lovely reception staff, especially the lady (sorry don't know her name, but she was very nice and helpful). Great location too as it's next to the bus stop.

Good hotel, located a few mins walk from the beach. Rooms were spacious and well decorated. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Really well equipped gym, indoor pool and sauna. Steam room functioning but there’s an damp/mouldy smell in there. Rooftop pool area also lovely with a nice sea view. Wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast though so docked a point. Fruit juices were from concentrate, coffee...
Lovely hotel in Sliema. My husband was in the hospital next door and the location was ideal. I found the most wonderful and concerned members of staff on the front desk, Charles' welcome each morning at breakfast. Marvellous Penny Black bar for an evening snack. Thr room was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff efficient always helpful. Thank for making my stay during a worrying time so wonderful
Me and my family stayed here in August 2023, and it was a fantastic stay! The breakfast buffet provided plenty of options and I was always satisfied when using it. Reception were always helpful whenever we needed something. The swimming pools at the top are very good and the views are spectacular. Being able to drink at the Palace's (neighboring hotel) bar and restaurant was also very convenient. The...
Overall it was a very pleasant stay. We got a complimentary update to a wonderful and spacious room. The view from the balcony was superb as the beds were comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, myself and my girlfriend's first holiday together and the staff were all excellent, very helpful, and accommodating with all our needs. Stayed here 3 nights not long ago. Good location. Everything is within walking distance. Beach is down the street, Valletta is a 10 min ferry ride away. Lots of local shops and chemists. My deduction of two stars was because of the toilet flush button not secured properly as demonstrated in the video and also the hand sink was sloped downwards slightly so water pooled at the back. I highly recommend this hotel. My boyfriend and I had a lovely 12-day stay there. The staff is very friendly, the pool is wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. The bus stop is just few minutes away, making it easy to get around and visit Valletta. They also offer free shuttle service. For the price, you get a lot of value."
Rooms spacious and clean however ground floor patio area was tiny and overgrown. Our valley view was not so unless we stood on the chairs to peer over the hedge! There were many sports teams staying in the accommodation...would have been better had they put them all in one area as they were in and out of rooms at times when we were trying to sleep, causing a fair bit of noise. Service good and pool...

Beautiful hotel ,with excellent staff. 1st of all, I would like to say everyone who works their, from reception, bar waiter/waitress,cleaner were polite, friendly, and very helpful, and happy. It's a bit off the beaten track , and is a 25 min walk to Sliema, although there is a free shuttle that goes there and also to Valletta, spaces are limited so book your spot early. The pool is not heated and is quite cold, Had no hot water for a shower this morning although this was rectified quickly. Sadly the room does smell a bit damp and of the drains, but you get used to it. The food is ok, main...
Really enjoyed staying here, lovely staff and likely one of the nicest hotels in Malta. The only downside is the location, Sliema and the coast is about a 20 mins walk away. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to Valetta. Bolt (Malta's Uber competitor) was a saviour here. One the plus side, with it being out of the way means it is also quite peaceful on a night. Also very clean. The staff were out...
We stayed in a corner suite which consists of a living room (sofa bed, TV, coffee tables, chairs and tea making facilities and mini fridge), a separate bedroom (super king size bed and a large wardrobe and another TV) and a bathroom. Loved this Hotel. It's in the central, very close to shops and staff very helpful. Thank you Mr George Muscat, hotel supervisor for giving us the best room with a view, thanks to Johnny as well and all the staff as they were all very helpful, cheerful and sociable. Well done to the chef , food was excellent 👌. Looking forward to go again soon.
An amazing hotel with a nice service Very friendly stuff Specially Mr. George (receptionist) very helpful The view is amazing
Had a nice experience at Sliema Hotel. George in reception was very nice and helpful, and everyone else seemed very friendly. Breakfast buffet was nice. Perfect location.
Amazing views, it's well worth it to get a Seaview. Rooms are basic but big. Daily cleaning very good. A bargain.
Views are amazing. The hotel situated on the Strand which is full of shops, bars and restaurants. There is café and spa salon in hotel. The only minus if you light sleeper, its quite noisy as windows are not even double glazed. Plus people banging their doors pretty much feels like in your room.

Good value for the money paid. On sliema beach road. Conveniently placed (bus stop in front). Small but newly renovated rooms. Modern and clean. Consists of two buildings so when checking in there are two receptions and you have to chose the right one. Poor choice at breakfast (buffet). All in all recommended, good but not great
Three stars for Three stars. Could be better, rooms need some repairs and renovation. People are nice, rooms are actually reasonably clean. Breakfast is ok. Little loud (in rooms on street side) but not a deal breaker.
First trip to Malta booked last minute stayed with my partner in Plaza side of the hotel. Excellent value. Spacious room, side view of sea from balcony, comfy beds, fantastic shower! This is a good hotel with a great location, as long as you get into the modern side. I really feel sorry for the staff and managers trying to juggle disgruntled guests. The owners really need to invest in the Regency side of the hotel, the rooms are small dank and at best 1Star, where the Plaza side is a modern 3 Star
The hotel is good but in the rooms it doesn’t look like a 3 stars hotel. However, the room gets cleaned everyday neatly, and the breakfast is good and varied. Weird smell coming from the sink
Visited November. We had a room with a side view of the sea, small but adequate. Toilet space was a bit snug so may not be suited to a bigger person or anyone with a disability. The air conditioning in our room did not work at all. We made several complaints with the hotel management, technicians were sent to our room several times, but none of them solved the problem. We stayed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year, and felt at home. All the facilities we wanted, a generous size room with a great view and no direct sunshine. We usually ate out, but the hotel meals we had were adequate and inexpensive.
We had the most amazing time at The Waterfront. To say that the staff are accommodating, friendly and welcoming is an understatement. The service staff for breakfast, lunch and dinner are all such wonderful and helpful people who go out of their way to help and they really deserve recognition and respect from everyone. Friendly professional people. Nice rooms and room service, quiet too. Breakfast is good, prices are good. Nothing to complain!
I came only half a day because I needed a very quiet place for teleworking as I had an important online meeting. I was very happy with the room. It was clean and I had coffee and water. I enjoyed the quietness of the room and it offered me good conditions to pass a very good online meeting. The internet signal was very good. It was a good option to come here for teleworking.

Had a pleasant stay at violetta. Beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely pool and bar area. Very modern decor. A quieter area than in the main seafront - about 10-15 minutes walk to amenities and shopping district. The owner of the hotel Justin was really lovely and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Would recommend staying here.
We stayed at the wonderful Palazzo Violetta in Sliema, from May 25th to June 1st. Our stay couldn't have been any better! Our apartment was absolutely incredible. Excellent boutique hotel in an ideal location. Away from the busy areas, but only 10 minutes walk to the bay or harbour. Traditional decor with a modern twist. This hotel has made my trip to Malta much better its safe and quiet The rooms are very clean, nice and tidy The bathroom is in the room not sharing They have a swimming pool The breakfast is only for 5 euro If you want snacks of drinks they can offer ot with reasonable price! I would recommend this hotel ita not very far from the capital you can use Bolt taxi application to reach there with affordable...
The hotel is located close to upper part of the Island with nice view to Sliema bay. The rooms are clean, but the fridge is paied extra. The breakfast is simple, without warm meals. Be careful, the rooms are equipped with English type socket. The swimming pool is nice.
The hotel is in a suburban area, but not far away there are very cheap businesses to buy food and rent scooters. Within 15 minutes by scooter you can be in St Julian's, Sliema or Valletta. The staff is nice, the room was big and clean. The swimming pool is not very big, but enough to relax. Good value for money.
Simple breakfast, should have a few more options (including a toaster!!) Fridge in the bedroom, but closed with a lock (??). TV did not work, and was not even fixed during my stay! They forgot to clean my room one of the days. Booked (and confirmed by email) a twin room, received a double room (but to be honest they did resolve the issue almost immediately). On the positive side, the staff are friendly...

Cathy was extremely helpful and provided recommendations on everything including what to do and where to eat etc. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was great for a cooling off dip after we returned from our daily adventures. The breakfast was good and included local treats. The location is grat for the local restaurants as well as getting into Valletta.
The property was just the sort of place we like to stay at - loads of character and was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was a lovely mix of healthy Mediterranean food. The location was good as well. It was close to St Julian’s but far enough away to not have the noise associated with being close.
Beautiful house furnished with an excellent taste, friendly and welcoming hosts. Ask Cathy for any local hints she's a walking encyclopedia :).

The other reviews from other years are just too much because in my experience it was a lot better! Not to mention, people shouldn't expect too much for what they paid since the price were very cheap (so I am very satisfied with I got). You get nice apartment room, the beds were clean and the kitchen had plates, knifes, glasses, and other things so you can cook). Also if you have any problem then you...
Lived at the Sundown while working in the shipyard, made a lot of good friends at the sundown great people great place, go back every year when I can. You people that moan about the place get a life.
It has very nice swimming pool. Nice place good furniture.i been more than 2 years.
I feel other people's reviews have been a little unfair, unsure what people expect for the price. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly everything at the hotel it's self was fine. The only problem is the location, the location is ideal if you drive or are willing to pay taxis daily. Apart from that we had a good stay here.
