AX The Victoria Hotel

I was there with my 2 daughters in winter (which was a comfortable 16 degrees and sun in Malta). We enjoyed the indoor pool (although it was a tad small). The staff were all super friendly.
We had half board and dinner at tabloid was great. The waiter from Nepal (sorry I don't remember his name) was exceptional and so friendly and polite and great with the kids. The lovely man working the bar at Penny black was also great, Christian I believe?
We had a lovely stay, thank you.
Sauna could be warmer though!

I stayed for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience. The room was very spacious and clean. I had breakfast each morning and was impressed with the amount of food on offer. The fresh fruit and fresh bread were excellent. I appreciated they had soya and almond milk, so I could have a nice coffee each morning too.
Only one small thing that didn't work well was the kettle in my room, the lid must have been damaged as it wouldn't stay closed, if you boiled it you had to weigh it down with something or it would boil forever, it wasn't a huge issue though, I just used it a few times.
The little gift shop inside the hotel was also handy and had some nice things.
Staff were all friendly and overall this was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for a while. I would happily stay here again in the future :)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at AX The Victoria Hotel, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. One particular moment that stood out was when I mentioned needing help with directions; a staff member not only explained the route clearly but also provided me with a map and offered additional tips to make my journey smoother. These little touches showed their genuine commitment to excellent service.

The room was spotless, with every amenity thoughtfully arranged. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail in housekeeping was evident. The hotel's dining options were also a highlight, with delicious meals served promptly by staff who were just as welcoming and attentive.

Exceptional Service Beyond Expectations
We had an early morning flight and had to check out of the hotel at 4:00 AM. To our surprise, the staff went above and beyond by arranging a takeaway breakfast for us to enjoy on our journey. This thoughtful gesture truly exceeded our expectations and showed their dedication to guest comfort and satisfaction.

It’s rare to find this level of attention to detail, especially at such an inconvenient hour. The breakfast was well-prepared, fresh, and exactly what we needed to start our day. This small but meaningful effort left a lasting impression on us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the excellent service. We can not praise this hotel enough. Very friendly staff, the receptions, the breakfast crew, the cleaners and the dynamic duo behind the bar. Fantastic room, spotlessly clean, great location for all public transport to get around the island. The only problem is we're leaving tomorrow! Thank you and see you next year.

Fantastic hotel, stayed at the Victoria in July this year for a short summer break away from the UK.

The rooms were lovely with massive beds and gorgeous bathrooms, balconies were a great addition. the rooms were cleaned and tidied daily by the lovely housekeeping staff.

Reception and bar staff were all great with reception staff being very helpful sorting taxis out and helping book activities to do around Malta!

The sauna, indoor pool and gym were a great addition. But the highlight was the roof top pools and bar with stunning views of the Mediterranean and Valletta!

would highly recommend and will definately be staying again on my return to Malta!

Good hotel, located a few mins walk from the beach. Rooms were spacious and well decorated. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Really well equipped gym, indoor pool and sauna. Steam room functioning but there’s an damp/mouldy smell in there. Rooftop pool area also lovely with a nice sea view. Wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast though so docked a point. Fruit juices were from concentrate, coffee machine makes some very bad coffee and the food in general wasn’t up to scratch for me. Hotel also caters to families/older demographic from my experience which for me is fine but may not be suited for a group of lads for example. Total cost for 4 night was £500 including breakfast. Probably fair considering the facilities.

Lovely hotel in Sliema. My husband was in the hospital next door and the location was ideal.
I found the most wonderful and concerned members of staff on the front desk, Charles' welcome each morning at breakfast.
Marvellous Penny Black bar for an evening snack.
Thr room was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff efficient always helpful.

Me and my family stayed here in August 2023, and it was a fantastic stay!
The breakfast buffet provided plenty of options and I was always satisfied when using it. Reception were always helpful whenever we needed something. The swimming pools at the top are very good and the views are spectacular.
Being able to drink at the Palace's (neighboring hotel) bar and restaurant was also very convenient. The options of restaurants and bars at the rooftop too were also very satisfying to have.
The rooms are at a high standard along with having balconies with more tremendous views.
Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere to stay in the metropolitan side of Malta.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay. We got a complimentary update to a wonderful and spacious room. The view from the balcony was superb as the beds were comfortable. The rooftop pool and sundeck were brilliant too. The huge breakfast buffet was excellent and all of the staff members were extremely helpful. No matter what, I felt treated like a very well appreciated guest. It's a very professional run hotel which also cares about the small things in the guests everyday life.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, myself and my girlfriend's first holiday together and the staff were all excellent,very helpful, and accommodating with all our needs. Nice decor and fully air conditioned, rooms were very good, and cleaned very well every morning whilst we were out. Lots of local shops, good transport links with buses and cabs available. Food was excellent, and good variety every evening. We really enjoyed our stay here, and were quite comfortable despite the heat, and highly recommend here. They also have a hotel that's joined to this one, so you can access their facilities too, such as additional restaurants, pool and spa.
