Overall very good experience. The room was much more than I expected for the price and it was very comfortable. The location is great, since the hotel looks towards the sea which is so pretty. The staff tried hard to please but the hotel is not 4 star as advertised. The curtains were broken and had been broken for a while allowing the sun in. The airconditioning was noisy and not very efficient. The pool closed at 6.00pm in the middle of summer.

The location is excellent, you can get to anywhere by bus. Maximum travel time is about 1 hour. The hotel is quite old, but we got a room after renovation. The hotel is located close to upper part of the Island with nice view to Sliema bay. The rooms are clean, but the fridge is paied extra. The breakfast is simple, without warm meals. Be careful, the rooms are equipped with English type socket. The swimming pool is nice.

The hotel is in a suburban area, but not far away there are very cheap businesses to buy food and rent scooters. Within 15 minutes by scooter you can be in St Julian's, Sliema or Valletta. We absolutely LOVED our 4 night stay at Hotel Juliani. The hotel itself; our beautiful suite - with the amazing view; the bar and restaurants, and the service provided by the staff all deserve Five Stars. It is definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in in all of our world travels.

This hotel has multiple apartment buildings, and the room I was given was in the worst location. The administrator seemed very enthusiastic, but in fact the service was poor. The night before I checked out, I booked a taxi to the pier the next morning at the front desk, and the front desk said it was no problem. The rooms advertised on Booking.com and that we actually booked do not exist. I spoke to the manager and she said she would get owner to look into it. Every one of the staff were excellent and will certainly be back again.

Had a pleasant stay at violetta. Beautiful boutique hotel. Lovely pool and bar area. Very modern decor. A quieter area than in the main seafront - about 10-15 minutes walk to amenities and shopping district. We stayed at the wonderful Palazzo Violetta in Sliema, from May 25th to June 1st. Our stay couldn't have been any better! Our apartment was absolutely incredible. It had two large bedrooms on a mezzanine level, 2 bathrooms (one with a bath/shower and one with a walk in wet room shower), an upstairs lounge, 2 large wardrobes, a downstairs lounge/diner and a small kitchenette. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The rooftop jacuzzi is a nice to have but the Aqualuna pool that is included for free from the hotel is great for travelers who want to sunbath without travelling miles for the beach. The location is brilliant as it is the first stop from the Airport Bus and the same bus stop takes you back to the airport as well.

We had a basic room no balcony but the room was excellent for our needs. Breakfast was well worth it and the staff very helpful. The local area is a little worn but it is only a 10 minute stroll to the bay and local shops close for essentials. Very useful to have a fridge and the air conditioner unit was very effective.
