A Perfect Stay at Urban Valley Resort, Malta!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Urban Valley Resort in Malta, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was nothing short of exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful island. I was particularly impressed by how fresh everything felt; cleanliness was clearly a top priority.
Breakfast at the resort was another highlight. The variety of options was fantastic, catering to all tastes. Whether you wanted a hearty breakfast or something light, there was something for everyone, and the food was delicious!

The facilities at Urban Valley Resort were spotless and well-maintained. I spent a lot of time by the swimming pools, which were beautiful and never too crowded. They had a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere, and the surrounding area was well-kept and peaceful. I also indulged in the spa area, which was the perfect place to unwind and recharge—calm, soothing, and everything you would expect from a luxury resort.

Overall, my experience at Urban Valley Resort was flawless. The combination of excellent service, beautiful rooms, delicious food, and top-notch facilities made for a truly unforgettable stay. I can't wait to return!

We stayed for 4 nights and we didn't miss anything. The rooms are very clean as well as the whole hotel itself. Staff members more than friendly and helpful. Food and drink wise there is a big variety of everything you'd like as well at the breakfast buffet.
We left the hotel very early in the morning and the staff was so kind to prepare little doggy bags with sandwiches, fruit and a water bottle to take with us.
10/10 would visit again!

Great hotel, food was the highlight - restaurant buffet delivered every single night of our stay with a different themed nights, and everything was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Staff was helpful everyone had a smile on their faces they provided free shuttles to Valletta and Sliema, and helped with managing our airport transfers - checking and checking out was easy straightforward, they allowed us into our suite as soon as we arrived even though check in was supposed to be at 3pm. The hotel room was lovely, spacious and comfortable and clean (the only minus if we are being picky was the couch had small stains on it). All in all 95% and top top place to be. Loved it and will definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends

I highly recommend this hotel. My boyfriend and I had a lovely 12-day stay there. The staff is very friendly, the pool is wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious. The bus stop is just few minutes away, making it easy to get around and visit Valletta. They also offer free shuttle service. For the price, you get a lot of value."

Rooms spacious and clean however ground floor patio area was tiny and overgrown. Our valley view was not so unless we stood on the chairs to peer over the hedge!
There were many sports teams staying in the accommodation...would have been better had they put them all in one area as they were in and out of rooms at times when we were trying to sleep, causing a fair bit of noise.
Service good and pool and communal areas kept immaculate. Disappointed that the main bar closed at 9pm and although the pool bar remained open there was limited availability on drinks and served in a plastic cup.
Breakfast had a good variety to choose from.
Location was perfect.. short walk into Sliema harbour.

all round modern/tidy hotel! Service very good, restaurant is 5star quality. Location is a little out the way but nothing to put off staying here! Would recommend definitely stay here again in the future 👍

Beautiful hotel ,with excellent staff. 1st of all, I would like to say everyone who works their, from reception, bar waiter/waitress,cleaner were polite,friendly, and very helpful, and happy. The facilities were A1, Pool was very relaxing and chilled. The rooms were extremely clean and well equipped. The location was right too, quiet,but not far from the shops etc.On foot 20 minutes or so, by shuttle 5 minutes. I would definitely stay here again . Very enjoyable. Xx room 2106 stay.. 01/06/24 x

It's a bit off the beaten track , and is a 25 min walk to Sliema, although there is a free shuttle that goes there and also to Valletta, spaces are limited so book your spot early. The pool is not heated and is quite cold, Had no hot water for a shower this morning although this was rectified quickly. Sadly the room does smell a bit damp and of the drains, but you get used to it. The food is ok, main courses are varied but desserts seem to be either fruit or cake. No coffee after evening meal either. All drinks even soft drinks are charged also. Stayed in St Paul's Bay last September and beer, house wine and soft drinks were complimentary. Shame. Breakfast is varied, lots of choice. We still have a few days left so will keep you posted.

This is an addition to my original review. I would just like to thank Sarah the operations manager for the upgrade, the suite we were allocated was very nice and spacious, and was much appreciated. Having stayed at urban Valley for a week, and now returned home I would just like to add one or two other points seeing as Sarah does take criticism on board. Firstly I would like to say that all the staff were extremely professional, very friendly and helpful, a big plus.
However there are one or two other things I would like to point out, firstly I was under the impression the pools were heated, but sadly because it was so cold so were the pools, in the week that we were there I think I only saw one person brave enough to try swimming in one of them, which is a shame, as they look really nice.

Secondly when we took a hotel shuttle service to Valletta we were told that a return shuttle would pick us up at 1 for the return journey. Sadly we waited for over 40 minutes and no shuttle, so we had to take a cab back to the hotel at our expense. I asked the reception staff what had happened they didn't know and said they would look into it and then contact me, however they didn't bother to let me know what had happened.
Finally we come to the food in the evening. I spoke to several guests most of which said that the food was either dry, bland, tasteless,overcooked, or just not very nice. I witnessed several guests walk in have a look and then walk out again.I think that the hotel could possibly use another chef, as for the deserts they could probably do with
employing a pastry chef as the only desserts available, we're obviously bought in from outside, and to be honest we're pretty tasteless. Thankfully there was fresh fruit available, but they really could work on their desserts. As I have said previously there was plenty of choice at breakfast, but the evening meal was sadly very disappointing, (we even noticed the same frittata being trotted out for 3 days continuously.)
Overall the hotel was ok however it is quite far from everything, and you will need to take a taxi or a bus to find civilisation.
I hope Sarah that you find the criticism constructive as none of it was meant to be malicious, but just how we found the hotel.

Really enjoyed staying here, lovely staff and likely one of the nicest hotels in Malta. The only downside is the location, Sliema and the coast is about a 20 mins walk away. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to Valetta. Bolt (Malta's Uber competitor) was a saviour here. One the plus side, with it being out of the way means it is also quite peaceful on a night.

Also very clean. The staff were out each morning making sure the grounds and the pool area were clean.

One point that won't affect most people is the gluten free food availability as I am celiac sadly. The breakfasts were great and plenty I could have in both the cooked and cold areas, which was most welcome.
The evening meal there was very limited choice sadly, which meant we had to go to Sliema each night. Nothing bad about the hotel as I don't expect special treatment or anything, just a shame as it was a nice place and would have liked to give them the custom.

Good place to stay on a business trip in February. The place is quiet and relaxing and it’s easy to get to swim in the indoor pool. Nice bar and decent restaurant with fair sized rooms. Bit of a hike to any shops etc but nothing insurmountable
