The hotel and location is beautiful ! Truly special place and that you have a pool near by is a bonus as well ! The room has all we needed and more , decor attention to detail beautiful. The view of all island from the terrace beautiful, all facilities lovely However few things could be improved… Drinks offered on arrival never came .. We popped for an upgrade with jacuzzi .. not worth it, as jacuzzi...

Incredible hotel within Mdina with a lot of history. The staff are very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The room had a beautiful Terrance with a hot tub. Thank you Tommy!

Had the best birthday there. Service and rooms were exceptional. The food at The de Mondion Restaurant was also incredible. I booked it for my birthday evening and would highly recommend the experience. Nice gestures like a Happy Birthday wish with dessert and a card.

Excellent hotel but room 7 is awful. The restaurant is upstairs. I think the kitchen is directly above this room. It's currently 11:25 PM and all I can hear is stomping and moving of furniture/equipment above my room. It was the same way last night. Room 7 is not a basic room, it is an "Executive Duplex Suite with Terrace and Jacuzzi" with the price tag to match. I do not recommend this room.

Despite many trips to Malta in excellent hotels, the Xara Palace places such a high standard that it will be difficult to find better. In addition to being located in one of the most beautiful cities in the world and having an incredible view of the island, I have never experienced such kindness from the staff. Excellent stay a lovely apartment with terrace jacuzzi sunbeds table chairs you can see and walk to silent city 2 min away cafes restaurant so close its great its a excellent place to stay would recommend to couples for a lovely time to stop here and Johnny is so helpful always there if you need him just a call away we will be back next year

A family owned and run guesthouse in the quaint village of Rabat, minutes away from the old capital Mdina and the greener more rural part of the island. Great as a launching pad for anyone looking at exploring the Northern bits of Malta too.

Can't be specific about the sizes of the rooms as price is a determining factor here. But will definitely say they are clean, equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is included in room rates and they are very good. The lady at the front desk who practically attendees to all your inquiries handles every thing and assures your comfort . When I booked this place, I was a little unsure about the shared bathroom. However, budget being what it is, I ended up giving it a try based on the great ratings. Bathroom was pristine, Theresa and Pauline were awesome and I'd gladly come back to give Mdina a longer tour when I visit Malta again.

Good value for money. 15 minutes walk from Mdina. Old world charm of wood and marble interior, like 18th century. Nice clean bathroom & toilet. Kitchen and roof terrace available. Only drawback was shared bathroom, but owner told me they would be refurbishing and putting in en-suite facilities. Very friendly and helpful.

Very nice address for a stay in Mdina. The rooms are very clean and beautiful. Very well located, just in front of a bus stop. Special mention on the breakfast that is served in room every morning and is delicious.

A beautiful townhouse very close to the center of Rabat and the gate of Mdina. The owners were extremely kind, the breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable, spacious and beautiful! Highly recommended!

Wonderful location, a few steps from the historic Medina and also very near local buses to all parts of Malta. I loved day trips, swimming in the sea at Buggiba/St Paul's Bay, for example. The hotel terrace is a local meeting point, so we felt like part of the lovely town of Rabbat, and got to know local shops easily. Local people were so friendly - and the staff of the hotel were like a family...

My 2nd stay here and it is superb. Set in a historic Maltese building the environment and atmosphere feels local , warm and friendly. We stayed three nights with two kids and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff and the owners are super friendly - very accommodating. Ample parking right in front. The restaurant downstairs is also very good. And as you can see on the maps - the location is ideal! What makes the property stand out is the staff - very customer eccentric.

It was just perfect ! I stayed for one night. And i had a very nice room. I also ate my dinner at the restaurant downstairs. And had a delicious burger. Also the breakfast menu was very good. And it's right at the Mdina city gates. A very beautiful medieval city.

The localization is okey and the service is really nice and helpful. Unfortunately the room was not so clean, has an old equipment like tv and it is really small. The breakfast was really good, many options to choose.

We go there on regular basis we tried most of the menu which is excellent .... from simple kids meal to scrumptious and perfectly cooked meats. The service is also excellent and waiters are always with a smile and ready to help with anything the client needs, I'd like to give a 5 star also to the owners which they make sure that your time there is time very well spent in a lovely ambience and breath...
