Our first stay at the Xara and it really was exceptional! Thank you to the staff and the team. It was nice to meet the family behind it too, thank you Justin. Mdina is a wonderful city and the Xara is another level of luxury, I highly recommend doing a few nights there on any holiday to Malta.

We just visited for coffee and dessert. The flavors were really good and the location is simply amazing. It would have been a five-star experience, but unfortunately our waitress seemed to be having a bad day, and that affected the service a bit. Still, definitely worth a visit!

I really loved staying at this hotel, Naxxar where the hotel is located is away from the main touristy areas, it’s secluded yet central to close proximity to the bus station which is 6 minutes by walk and if you have Bolt installed you can easily book a ride to your destination. Wonderful stay This was a trip for my birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Fantastic service, from the minute we arrived, the drinks to the jacuzzi and the helpfulness of the staff. The bed was so comfy, the only thing that would have made it better would have been a firmer pillow. The hotel is in a very quiet area and ubers can drop you straight to the door. We stayed 4 nights at the hotel - we were not shown around the facilities and given a room that needed to be accessed from the outside on the top level which was very confusing. Honestly. Are any of the apartments there clean? I have visited a few and they all look like some kind of hippy colony. This place could be a real gem if it was taken care of!! What a shame.

Nice guesthouse and really kind staff. Located in a good area, within walking distance to some restaurants, supermarket, bathing areas. We are stay there for 10 nights at this hotel. Although several people appear to have complained about the food etc, my wife and I have just had a pleasant weeks stay here. It's a bit dated and basic but the staff were lovely and worked hard. Not as bad as some of the reviews, I read, our room, overlooking the pool was lovely, brand new mattresses and pillows. Bathroom was very clean, hairdryer didn't work. We stayed 5 days in a room with a kitchen, the stay went very well. The room was very good, pleasant, spacious. The kitchen area was perfect, oven, microwave, hob, kettle, fridge, freezer, etc. The area is nice but there isn't much, we recommend renting a car.

Normally use hotels when visiting Malta. Thought we would try this guest house. There is a phrase, you get what you pay for. This was relatively cheap. Tiny bathroom with no shelving for toiletries. Open hanging space for clothes, one shelf for other clothing. Beds were comfortable though. Ideal for a solo traveller would be my assessment.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They served dinner later in the evening and having the restaurant connected to the guesthouse was very convenient. Malta has decent public transport, but we did not use it, as it was easy to walk around. There was also a grocery store, Spar, around the corner about 2 minutes away. The hotel is decorated in a nice style, clean. The walls are quite thin and unfortunately you can hear people from neighboring rooms. The hotel surroundings are not very interesting, but there are shops, restaurants, cafes, parking spaces on the street. Good location for a base. The service is very polite and helpful, the breakfasts are tasty and there is a large selection.

The hotel staff was great, helping us at all times with parking and the areas to visit. My wife was pregnant and they provided us with food options adapted to her at all times, the beds were very comfortable and the area, despite being a party area, did not make any noise.
