Holiday Inn Express - Malta, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is located in the heart of Saint Julies city center, adjacent to bars and nightclubs. Loud music plays until 3am every night. Although the hotel has double-glazed soundproof windows, it still makes sleep difficult unless you're a night owl. It's advisable to find accommodation farther from the nightlife district if you're not.

The hotel doesn't include a complimentary swimming pool. Access to the neighboring hotel's pool costs €20 per day per room, which may disappoint guests not wanting beach swimming. However, a public beach is just a 5-minute walk away, serving as a good alternative.

Cleanliness and hygiene are above average, but the bathroom shower has a design flaw: no curtain or screen, causing the entire bathroom floor to get wet during showers.

Hotel service: Staff are warm-hearted and patiently assist guests with requests – highly commendable!

Hotel breakfast: Since this was a family trip, we chose the 7-day breakfast package. However, the food variety remained completely unchanged every single day. For the last two days, the pancake machine malfunctioned, making the already monotonous selection even more limited. Food preparation also lacked professionalism: the scrambled eggs were disappointing daily, with powdery lumps forming. Hard-boiled eggs weren't chilled in cold water after cooking, making them extremely difficult to peel – the chefs need to pay more attention to this.

Good service and location very easy to find it, near have shopping mall and many restaurants.

The room is clean. The staff is friendly. The location is convenient to ******, restaurants, harbour, and nightlife.

It was so great to stay here, tasty breakfasts, especially pastries and juices 😋 3 min from the bus station, great soundproofing in the rooms, workspace in the room, and soo lovely service

Great and clean. Huge props to Bogdan and the cleaning staff for helping me with a small foot injury. Food was great and on par with much more expensive hotels too. Nobrainer stay in Malta if you want affordability with luxury.

All the front desk staffs are very nice and helpful, specially a lady ( sorry I don’t know her name) she is extremely friendly and helpful . Gave us lots of suggestions.

It was such a great stay in the Holiday Inn. The room was great! Clean and just everything you need. The access to the spa and swimming pool of the intercontinental is just fantastic. You can enter it from the hotel by an internal door.
The front desk was very helpful. A shout out to Leah and Anish, they are so friendly. And serve nice cocktails!! I will definitely come back!

Me and my mom were super happy to live in this hotel, very very clean and super good personal, most of all we liked the guy Anish on reception, he helped us a lot with all our stuff. And the breakfasts were amazing, very fresh every day. The best view on the terrace as well. Oh, we will come back for sure here in next year.

I recently had an exceptional stay at Holiday Inn express Malta, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Anish, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure my experience was perfect. He provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and made me feel right at home.

Pleasant Stay with Excellent Service

My friend and I stayed here for a vacation, and we had an overall wonderful experience. The location was surprisingly convenient—despite being so close to the Paceville stairs, we weren’t disturbed by any noise.

Cleanliness and Comfort

The rooms were impeccably clean, and we were particularly impressed with the air conditioning system, especially considering the high humidity (88%) during our stay. It ensured that our time indoors was comfortable and relaxing.

One minor note regarding breakfast: while everything was fresh and well-prepared, there was a noticeable lack of fried food options. It seems they prefer to offer lighter breakfast choices. However, this did not significantly detract from our overall experience.
