I really enjoyed the location – it's a beautiful and peaceful place – and the staff were extremely friendly and kind throughout my stay. However, there were too many aspects that did not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel, especially considering the price paid.
Maintenance was clearly lacking: for instance, several pathway lights were out, making it almost completely dark when walking back to the bungalow at night. The gym was outdated, with old equipment that didn’t function properly, and both the sauna and steam room could really use a renovation. Breakfast was good but not outstanding, and not quite what you’d expect from a hotel in this category.
On the positive side, the spa pool was very nice and relaxing. Overall, I liked the place and truly believe it has great potential. If properly maintained, it could be absolutely perfect. As it stands, the value for money is just not there – in a different hotel it might be acceptable, but guests who choose a 5-star experience are paying for something close to perfection.
I sincerely hope to return one day and find a much-improved service.

I had the best cocktail ever at the Ta’ Cenc Spa Hotel! The bartender, Nikola if i am not wrong, is absolutely amazing. Watching him prepare drinks is like watching an artist at work. His energy, attention to detail, and creativity make the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend trying one of his cocktails – you won’t be disappointed. Cheers!

Just back from a sweltering week in one of the trullis. V hard working and lovely staff (special mention to Sunil the waiter,Mark, and the manageress at the spa, and Leon on reception, slightly struggling as there never seemed to be any senior management to defer too. And that rather sums up the Ta Cenq, struggling to justify its 5 star billing but I’m afraid failing due to what appears to be lack of good management. There were too many failings, minor, but too many to not affect us, billing queries , long waits for food and drink, disappointing food really (where was all the fresh fruit and tomatoes that we expected?) it was all rather bland. We gave up on the dinners in the hotel. Lovely mature oleanders and hibiscus all in glorious flower, but look over the patio from our trulli and there was rubbish that had been there for a long time. And the manky Prickly pear needed trimming as it was spoiling the amazing view, for there is no denying it’s a fantastic location with great views over to Comino and the mainland . And lovely swimming pools, clean and a good size, but some of the umbrellas were in a sorry state, that’s not 5 star! So sorry Ta Cenq, although I love Gozo and will be back again it will probably not be with you.

Beautiful, relaxing, peaceful place with splendid gardens and surroundings. Pool areas are lovely, the adult pool environment being calm and quiet. Staff very attentive and friendly , a little slow at times but it is a Mediterranean Island after all. Restaurants are open and food is very good. Well worth a visit.

The minibar in our Junior Suite was completely empty, even though they took my credit card as a guarantee for any consumption. It’s hard to understand the logic behind that. Service was a disaster: the bar and pool areas were practically unattended. Worst of all, at the pool bar, I was refused a drink simply because I was wearing a bathrobe instead of regular clothes. When I politely asked for an explanation, the bar staff member didn’t even stop to talk to me — she just walked past and, without looking at me, said I had to be dressed. The attitude was rude and unprofessional. At check-in, I was handed a form and told to fill in my own details — again, not something I would ever expect from a supposedly high-end hotel. Overall, this place lacks the service, attention to detail, and professionalism you'd expect from a true 5-star hotel. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend it.

I had a very comfortable stay.
The hotel is surrounded by nature, making it incredibly peaceful.
I highly recommend taking time to relax on the hotel grounds.
Since it’s surrounded by nature, be cautious of lizards and insects. Also, there are many cats, so watch your breakfast lol
There’s a shortcut from Cottage 134 to the cliff. The sunset from there is absolutely stunning—don’t miss it!
There’s also a walking route where you can see Malta and Comino islands in the distance. The walk takes about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Bus 305 goes to Victoria, but unfortunately, it wasn’t running during our stay, so we walked—it took about 40 minutes. An Uber costs less than €10.
I’d love to stay at this hotel again!

Beautiful property, pools and spa. A magnificent hotel with a Mediterranean Sea view and beautiful architecture and gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Gozo. Highly recommend this hotel.

I am staying here at the moment. My expectations had been lowered by some of the reviews, but for me this is a five star place. I don’t go for the corporate swish everything refurbished vibe. So I feel relaxed here, the food is amazing, the staff are excellent and we are loving our stay.

We chose this hotel as a quiet and restful place to stay while on Gozo. It was rated as a five star hotel. Trust me, it isn't. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are lovely and the staff very attentive; however, the beds are absolutely awful. Every time you move, the entire bed moves and jiggles around. The pillows are mush and feel like they are full of little chunks of foam. And they have a funny smell. The chairs are threadbare. The remote control was held together with duct tape. The air conditioning was not available. The bathroom had broken tiles and the bathtub was very small and slippery - quite dangerous actually. And the bathroom had a leak somewhere that made the tile floors very, very slippery. I did go to the spa as well. Very rudimentary and the technicians doing my mani and pedi did not do a good job. It is in a very peaceful location and had nice pools, but this is not a five star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. After having stayed at many five star hotels this place would rank as a three at the very best. If you are looking for comfort and a bit of luxury, look somewhere else.
