My third visit in five years. It now has a kettle in the room. As usual the service is superb, the staff very friendly. I would now suggest a small table on the balcony but no complaints. The other hotel here being rebuilt but I personally will not stay elsewhere when I visit. Transport links are excellent and plenty of bars and restaurants at reasonable prices. I have been told the hotel increased prices but I didn't notice any major increase this time. It is very dependent upon which travel company one books through. I'm planning to come back summer and Christmas 2023. Please note, I am a visitor not a tourist. This is not a prime tourist area but a very friendly seaside town in the south.

Christmas holiday here was as usual a delight. Weather was great and the service and staff excellent as usual.
My eternal thanks go to the staff at the Waters Edge hotel in Birzebbuga for helping to turn what was going to be a disastrous September Holiday in Malta into something more acceptable. My travel company online booking system booked me into a hotel in the tourist area of Malta without me realising and there's a no refund on cancellation so I was stuck with it. However The Waters Edge have managed to provide accomodation for the last five nights of my holiday which makes it better. The total cost is still within my original budget. The Waters Edge is a three star rated hotel. The hotel the travel agency booked is a four star. The Waters Edge has been my second home in Malta for some five years. I have never faulted them and after the current fiasco with a hotel in the tourist area I will always use the Waters Edge. It is a basic but well managed hotel in the south. It is more than adequate for visitors and has excellent transport connections. It is closer to the airport and overall works out cheaper than the get them in with cheap rates but then rob them blind hotels in the tourist area. Once again thanks to the staff at the Waters Edge. My 2024 January holiday is already booked with them as well.

I don't need to see any other hotels because I already found my favourite one here 🩵 The staff is super nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable with a stunning view over the bay. I couldn't ask for more and will definitely come back here.

Close to city center, stuff was friendly

Wonderful staff, incredible view, beautiful area, good transport (bus) links. Really lovely for a short break.

Wonderful hotel right on bay close to local bars and small cafes and restaurants .bus stop right outside trashed you to airport every half hour fir couple of quid! Lovely bay for a long weekend in malta ...Check out the adopted cats looked after by locals along the front!
