Friendly staff and rooms were well- maintained.
Room size is sufficient. The location is a short distance from Orchard road but they provide shuttle bus services to the MRT.
Complimentary parking is provided.
We enjoyed our stay.
Employees at the reception have a very bad attitude. I’ve gently talked to one of them at the reception. I asked him just to not go to clean my room as I’m going out and have fragile and specific stuff I don’t want to be touched. I told him that I’m leaving tomorrow so if they can come clean later when I’m here it would be great otherwise it’s okay.
He completely laughed at me, I was waiting for him to take note and informed the cleaning staff to not go in the room. He just keep on talking to his friends.
I felt something weird and didn’t want to argue, was tired already of my stay there. When I came back later I surprisingly find out that they came in the room and moved my stuff (personal, fragile and expensive). I spoke 20 minutes over the phone to explain the situation but the guy, same here, didn’t care. He transferred me to the reception and provided them with the following informations : the customer wants a cleaning service ??? Then I spend another 20minutes for the staff to finally apologize. At the end they just didn’t care. Employees there don’t care. Most of them are not Singaporeans, a lots of them Malaysians with very bad attitude.
As advantages, the hotel has a nice pool (even thought always crowded because the Novotel shares the same pool). Lots of small restaurants downstairs, in front of the hotel. However the MRT is not too close and have to walk on the side of the main road.
