Sai Daeng Resort

We stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View room, and it was absolutely incredible. The hotel is truly amazing — beautifully designed, well maintained, and the service was outstanding from the moment we arrived.

The room itself had the most breathtaking view we’ve ever experienced. Waking up to that ocean panorama was unforgettable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged.

One thing to note is that the hotel is built on a hillside, so there are quite a few slopes and stairs when moving between the room, the beach, the pool, the restaurant, and the reception. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it’s good to be aware.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect stay in Koh Tao. We would definitely come back!

I stayed at Sai Daeng Resort, Koh Tao, and honestly I highly recommend this place, especially if you love crystal-clear beaches, being close to nature, enjoying a full-service resort, staying active, relaxing with spa or massage, and spending time doing outdoor activities like I do.

The resort has its own private beach, which is quiet and never feels crowded. I loved waking up and just walking straight down to the sea. It feels very peaceful and almost hidden from the rest of the island.

The facilities and activities are a huge plus. They offer boxing and yoga classes, and even have an ice bath, which is perfect after a workout or a long day in the sun. There is also a fully equipped gym with a beautiful sea view, so you can work out while enjoying the scenery. On top of that, there’s a pool bar, so you can relax with a drink and enjoy the view. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, which made the stay feel even more comfortable.

The resort also has its own restaurant, and the food is really good, especially the Thai food, which was much better than I expected from a hotel restaurant. I ended up eating there a lot because it was so convenient and tasty.

One thing I really loved is that they provide a snorkeling mask for free in the room as part of the facilities, and also a large beach straw tote, which is really convenient so you can just grab everything and go straight down to the water. The area around the beach is great for snorkeling too.

I stayed in a villa, and the room was really nice and spacious. The bed was very comfy, and the pillow was low, which I personally love. The bathroom was quite big as well, almost as big as the bedroom, and they designed it with separate wet and dry areas, which makes it much more comfortable to use.

Overall, Sai Daeng Resort is perfect if you want a quiet, private, full-service stay with lots of activities, direct beach access, and great food. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Tao.

An absolutely amazing resort!
Everything about this place was perfect and so relaxing.
The service was outstanding — every staff member was kind, attentive, and always ready to help, even on the steep paths around the resort.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and full of variety, and the restaurant below the hotel served excellent food.
We loved the pool bar, where the bartender made incredible cocktails! 🍹
The activities and classes were fun, well organized, and held in a great atmosphere, and the spa was one of the best I’ve ever experienced.

The diving center at the resort was fantastic — our instructor was so sweet, professional, and patient.
Snorkeling right off the beach was amazing, and we could even see small reef sharks swimming below the hotel — such an unforgettable experience! 🦈💙

There’s also a gym with a stunning view, which made workouts feel like part of the vacation.
The room service and on-site facilities made everything super easy and comfortable, and the hotel’s shuttle to the ferry was a really nice and convenient touch.

The views from the resort are absolutely breathtaking, and the beach is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Koh Tao.

Stunning resort that doesn’t feel like a resort. Lovely beach on one side, great snorkelling over the other side. Nice beach bar / restaurant which is expensive in Thai terms, but still reasonable on the whole.

We had a beach front room which was small but lovely. Nothing beats waking up to the sand and the waves. Only things that would’ve made it better would be more space for luggage storage to keep the room tidier.

Would 1000% come back

We really loved it. The most beautiful beach on the island, beautiful room with beautiful views every morning and evening. We loved the restaurant and the food. We even took part in the hotel activities which we never do.

Really a unique place. The only not positive thing to say about it is the fact it's built on a cliff - so you will have a lot of steps to climb and we got quite exhausted from it.

love how private and serene it was here. you have everything at your doorstep and you don’t even need to leave the hotel! definitely more for younger folks as there is abit of a walk up and down to the pool /snorkelling but well worth the hike as it felt like we were on our own island

I recently stayed at Sai Daeng Resort, and it was an amazing experience. The location is fantastic, with a peaceful and private beach that offers a truly relaxing atmosphere.

The entire property is well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Their service made my stay even more enjoyable.

The overall ambiance is perfect for those looking for tranquility. The resort is quiet and serene, making it an excellent place to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle. I will definitely come back again!

Exelent choice for relaxing

Fabulous snorkeling just on the shore of the hotel. Black tip sharks, fish of all colors, beautiful coral. Amazing Infinity pool with swim up bar. Super room with great view. Everyone has a big smile. Great beach. You need to be semi fit as there is a lot of stairs but it is so worth it for the view. Food for lunch and dinner is great and reasonably priced. The only negative is the breakfast… it is really not great. Worsr than breakfast at 2 stars hotel.
