It can't get any worse than this! I got food poisoning as a consequence of eating the complimentary breakfast. The staff showed me nothing but complete contempt. Wouldn't help with a taxi. Offered no recommendations or advice. I spent two of my three days there violently ill. They acted as if it was my fault! LITERALLY ANY OTHER HOTEL IN GAZIANTEP WILL BE A BETTER CHOICE.

The best stay we had in Gaziantep. The rooms were clean .breakfast is great and stuff very helpful.high recommend it to everyone. Thanks for everything

The hotel is historical, and it's located in the heart of Gaziantep, where you can easily walk around the old markets and the copper pazar , many good restaurants and cafés around .
The rooms are big but old, especially the Tv.
I never felt comfortable at this hotel ,the pillows and the bed are not good.
The breakfast was the biggest disappointment compared to the famous city of Gaziantep.

Historic hotel from 1885. Beautiful antique rooms and large open spaces full of history and awe. Truly unique. Lots of shopping in walking distance.

I normally don’t write reviews unless I truly feel a real sense of satisfaction or disappointment, and in this case it’s disappointment to the highest degree.
I’ve stayed here on more than one occasion and I’m beginning to see certain trends taking shape.
I feel as though I have seen enough to make the claim that the hotel heavily (emphasis on the heavily) relies on its “old aesthetic” gimmick to mask over it’s many underlying issues.
There are features in the hotel which are part of the old style aesthetic and whilst I can appreciate it may not be to my taste, it fits the theme, such as the stone walls, this however is not my issue.
The audacity for the hotel to give its self 5 stars can only make me laugh. Its this underlying belief that a unique aesthetic gives them the right to disregard the standards of cleanliness and basic logic.
Breakfast is mediocre at best and on multiple occasions I’ve struggled to have a hot shower. Basic amenities are lack luster, but nevermind, the walls are made of stone…

The staff was very friendly and every time with a smiley face. The location is great, the heart of Gaziantep.

Great location walking distance to the bazaar. Nice breakfast. Restored old building with a lot of character. Has nice restaurant with pleasant but slow service. Food was good but so many nice kebab places close by.

At the first sight we loved here but our experience was totally disappointing.
Our bed was broken and very noisy. Furnitures were very old. There is not any sound isolations from windows or doors. You can hear anything outside from your room. Floors are rough and when staff is carrying any service trolley with plates you can hear all crashing plates and forks. Beside that there was a wedding in the middle of the hotel and there was 70db music sound in our room. No one informed us about that. We stayed with our 8 month old baby and that was very hard night. It was impossible to sleep inside the room. You are booking a hotel to rest but can not sleep! That was unbelievable. Breakfast is insufficient and breakfast saloon is very dark and close. they should support with some fruits, more local cheeses and some delicious baking.

The hotel is beautiful and historic. The rooms are nice. However the staff is neutral, not unfriendly but not friendly either. The friendliest staff were the parking attendants. No welcome and no engagement at all. Just "sign here" when checking in. Unusual for Turkey which is known for its friendly hospitable people. The breakfast staff was the same. One evening we went to sit in the beautiful courtyard to enjoy a drink. Altho there were waiters around, none came to ask if we wanted anything. So we just stayed there for half an hour and eventually just went back to our room. In a supposed "5" star hotel you shouldn't have to go looking for service. Breakfast was a very generous buffet offering and was fresh and inviting. Overall we were not unhappy with the hotel however would not rate it 5 stars. The service is lacking and there are definitely no 5-star touches. Amenities are limited (not even a hamam), linens are not premium, and toiletries are basic and low quality - the same as any cheap hotel. The coffee & tea in the room is also basic. All this is fine if it isn't a 5-star hotel. But at this level, you definitely expect more in the details. On one of the nights, there was a graduation event in the courtyard. We were so tired from 8 hours of driving that day and wanted to sleep early (at around 10 pm), but the music was so loud we couldn't even hear each other speak in our room and our bodies could feel the vibration of the music. We did not complain. We put earplugs in and the music finished somewhere before 12am. All in all, I would say it was an okay stay. The location and the beautiful hotel itself are wonderful. Staff friendliness and service, amenities, are very average or below average.
