Sahari Zanzibar in Bwejuu

We stayed from the 23rd November to 3rd December 2026, and I have to say, it was the most incredible holiday I've ever had. The hotel was not only lovely and immaculately clean, but the staff there truly made the experience extraordinary. Their professionalism combined with their genuine warmth made our stay feel like a slice of paradise. The atmosphere was so serene and peaceful, it felt almost like a wellness retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the community work the hotel engages in. On our arrival day, the hotel honoured local boys by handing out football kits, which was deeply touching. The hotel is also involved in several projects such as beach cleaning and assisting at the local kindergarten. Special kudos to Raphael, the assistant manager, who is often seen tidying up the beach with local residents and playing football with them on Mondays. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff for making our holiday unforgettable. Having travelled across all continents and numerous countries, this was our best experience yet. Special thanks to the managers, George, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and Raphael, who worked tirelessly to ensure we were happy. My gratitude also extends to the restaurant staff: John, J4 (Jaffari), Steven, Amos, Davidson, Elvira, and Glory. The kitchen staff, led by Chef Mangi and his team, prepared the most delicious food. Special recognition to the security team, particularly the gatemen, who were always helpful with our luggage and constantly smiling. The reception staff, Edina and Christine, were always welcoming, and the laundry team, including Habati, did a fantastic job. Thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping the place spotless. Lastly, a big thank you to the maintenance guy, whose name I unfortunately forgot, for diligently fixing our safe after we accidentally locked our passports in a day before departure. Thanks to the excursion team Saidi, Eva and Michelangelo. Thanks to Micheal from stores for helping with where to get stuff. I thought this wonderful experience would be worth sharing, as it highlights the impact of exceptional service and community involvement. Can’t wait to come back in 2026x

Just wanting to give a big shout out to all the staff at Sahari Zanzibar for making our holiday truly amazing. We are currently only half way through our stay but all the staff we have come across have been very welcoming, kind and kin to ensure we are well looked after and comfortable. A special thanks to managers George and Raphael for adding that special touch to our holiday. Yourselves and your staff are making our first visit to Zanzibar wonderful and we are looking forward to enjoying the rest of our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you guys!

Beautiful small hotel, right on the beach. Pool was lovely too. The staff were amazing and that includes everyone from maintenance, security, housekeeping, reception and especially the restaurant staff, warm greetings with a big smile really made our stay exceptional.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was very good – we had half board, and every evening we enjoyed à la carte dining. The dishes were always adjusted to our needs, with delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available. The staff, especially those working in the restaurant, were incredibly friendly and helpful – we immediately felt at home. The hotel is directly by the beach, with a beautiful pool area to relax in as well. The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. We also loved the little extras: you could borrow games like cornhole, chess, or board games, as well as books. Our room was clean, cozy, and well maintained. All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

Been travelling in East Africa for a while now and I rarely find a place that strikes the perfect balance between great location, comfort, authenticity and care without paying an outrageous price. We stayed in sahari for 6 nights as our first stop in Zanzibar. From the beginning we were very impressed. The service and friendliness of the staff was nothing less than 5*! Not the mention the food, especially the seafood was amazing and very fresh. The facilities were a perfect mix of boutique and modern and very clean everywhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. A special shout out to Voiner, Davis, J4, the chef Mangi, John and Steve for being so accommodating and making our stay so special. Came here to relax after my Kilimanjaro trek!!! This places was more than 5 stars!!! The foods the staff (all of them housekeepers, security, chefs, wait staff, massage therapist, check in staff and managers!!) I wish I could remember all their names!!! But they made my stay here so relaxing and enjoyable!! The food, the drinks, the vibe and even a ceiling fan in my room (it’s the little things)!! I would stay here again tomorrow if I didn’t have to go back to work!! We also even did a beach clean up day with other guests and staff!!! Thank you for celebrating me and my trek and becoming family I will remember forever!!

Very nice property set right on the a nice quiet part of the beach, where you can meet and chat with locals going about there day. Only about 30 mins walk along the beach to Paje, which has a lot of restaurants and things to do. The pool area is very nice, clean and relaxing. A few cats and a turtle living on the grounds were a nice addition, especially for the kids in the group. The restaurant is great, nice food and drinks - breakfast is especially good, served a la carte rather than a buffet. The staff are certainly the highlight, all extremely friendly and welcoming, from the excellent manager George to the restaurant, reception, massage and cleaning crew. A special shoutout to Saii (hope that´s close to being spelled right) who organized and accompanied us on a great sailing trip to Pungume and Kwale Islands, a really great guy. They could do with providing better shampoo products in the bathrooms, and the shower temperature tended to be a bit hit and miss. Apart from that, just a really nice place.

Everything in a hotel is good everything is perfect , the rooms are so lovely especially room 17 and 10, the cleaners are so good they make a good design everyday , restaurant team is good halima and especially voiner is good she knows what is good for customers she do beyond and above . The only thing I want to advice is to change the breakfast menu makes it good the menu choice ,as a solo they makes me enjoy and makes me feel at home and hellen did my hair nicely. I definitely come back in future I recommend this hotel for others

I have just returned from my two-week trip to Zanzibar and was able to have the wonderful experience of staying in this incredibly beautiful hotel which has so much charm and is looked after by a wonderful Sahari staff family and in my opinion every position is perfectly filled. From the very beginning you are given a very warm welcome and everything is shown to you and explained really well. The rooms are very lovingly decorated and always clean. The service staff are very friendly and the food is just perfect with enough choice for everyone and very beautifully presented. There is also a tour guide on site. We also went on tours and everything always went smoothly and to our complete satisfaction :) We also had great live African music at dinner which turned into a great party with a real vibe and we really enjoyed it. The location is also faulty - beautiful sunrises and moonrises right on the doorstep on a sea horizon. Unfortunately it doesn't look as great in the pictures as it was, but I enjoyed the views. In my opinion, the Sahari is in the perfect location. You can get anywhere in no time and it doesn't matter if you come alone, as a couple, family or friends, everyone thinks it's great here. I also had great conversations with almost all of the guests there and there was someone of every kind and everyone shares my opinion that this is a wonderfully loving place and, like me, they would recommend it to everyone. You have peace and quiet when you want it or you can talk to the staff. Everyone is happy to talk to you and that's what I liked best because they make it the place it is :) If there are any technical problems, there is a super maintenance person on site who will take care of it immediately. I could go on writing like this for hours but I don't want to take away from you the experience that you can have like I did and will never forget and I will definitely go back on my next trip to Zanzibar.
