Indeed it is more expensive, but the private pool and access to the ocean was unbeatable (we stayed in both garden and ocean access villas)
It was a beautiful experience. Moreover the staffs were totally friendly ، honest and they enjoyed professional behavior . definitely that I would repeat the trip to the resort if I traveled again to Zanzibar.
Without any hesitation, Zanzi was not only ‘one of the best’ we have stayed at across our extensive travels; it was ‘THE BEST’
Beautiful petite resort - just 13 villas. Great staff. Lovely food. Fabulous retreat 45 minutes north of Stone Town
Fabulous villa with private pool and access to ocean. Great food. Lovely staff. Beautiful gardens. Basically luxury without the 4 seasons faff.
A genuine wow resort. The rooms are stunning, spacious and generally delightful and the kitchen is great.

We are big fans of the Hyatt brand, especially Park Hyatt and Alila, and this hotel did not disappoint, in fact our expectations, although high, were met or exceeded in most every way
The other is the main hotel and dining/bar area opened in 2015. Fauzi then accompanied us to our suite and provided some of his restaurant and activity recommendations for our stay
We were then given a quick tour of the hotel property, by Concierge Fauzi, which is in two buildings. One is the historic residence of one of the Omani sultans
Our first impressions of the suite were very good. We have stayed in a number of Park Hyatt's and this property compared well with others around the world
We arrived at 7 pm and were quickly checked in. We were offered Suite 3211 as Hyatt Globalist using a suite upgrade certificate
We are just finishing a fantastic 5 night stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar

We loved the atmosphere and location Very helpful personnel Special thanks to Said, Guest Relation Manager and we loved the barman of the pool bar Mohamed Ali, always smiling and really running to offer his service Generally we enjoyed our stay
A nice atmosphere, hotel around by the beautiful trees, huge rooms. Amazing staff, especially at reception and pool bar (Mohamed and Christopher 👍)!
Amazingly beautiful!! Rooms could be better taken care of. Very , very nice and helpful people! Did I mention I love the people there?
The ambience is good overall. The location is the best about this property.
The furniture is nice, but general condition of the room is quite average, especially bathrooms. I would say it needs some renovation, at least some touches must be done that it looks tidier
The hotel is beautiful, looking exactly like the photos. They indulged us in a lovely Valentine's Day dinner with great entertainment. You should also try their spa as it is relaxing.

The guy who took our duffel bags with a big smile up and down the stairs really knows what customer service is. We had 3 rooms with beach view. Rooms were clean and spacious
He gave us lots of tips for Stone Town and also of a cultural nature. The breakfast is great, the selection at the buffet is local and international, as is the dinner
The ambience is reminiscent of fairy tales from 1000 and one night, magical. The staff was super friendly, especially Chriss was very nice and courteous
This hotel is extraordinarily beautiful and sits right on the ocean. We stayed here for 2 nights after a safari in Tanzania and loved every moment
The BEST hotel in stone town! The staff make you feel at home. This hotel is the true definition of “home away from home!” Can’t wait to be back!
I came here to thank their staff member Rabia. She checked all of us in and every time we had a question she was more than happy to answer

They have a small pool on the rooftop and a gym on the ground floor plus a badminton court. Location is very convenient smack center of stone town and stone throw away from many of the highlights and landmarks
Maru Maru was a great find for our group trip to Stone Town. The location was great. We enjoyed the roof top restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.
I booked this hotel for my Mother while she was in Zanzibar. The room was large and very clean. The restaurant offered delectable dishes. When she arrived there was some confusion with the booking
We had a lovely one night stay at Marumaru. The double room was above our expectation. We got to check in an hour early. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very modern and clean as well
The front desk was so kind and helpful to my Mom and made her arrival a pleasure
The hotel management as well as the waitresses and employees, such as Hilda, are all incredibly nice, courteous and helpful. I feel very well taken care of. The drinks are all delicious and are prepared quickly

The room had a balcony and a view of the embankment. The hotel and rooms are made in the old colonial style. The room is clean, in the evening, if desired, they treated for mosquitoes. Excellent pool in the courtyard
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mizingani, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The first thing that struck me was its fantastic location
Every day the room was cleaned, and in the evening they came in to close the window shutters and straighten the canopy. In the neighboring building, it seems, they set up a rehearsal point, so the room was not quiet
Situated in the heart of Stone Town, it offered easy access to all the historical and cultural treasures this enchanting place has to offer. Upon entering Mizingani, I was captivated by its beautiful furnishings
One of the highlights of my stay was waking up to stunning views of the Indian Ocean from my room. The gentle sea breeze and the sound of waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing and serene ambiance
The attention to detail was evident, and it truly felt like a step back in time to the early days of the Zanzibari monarchy. One aspect that stood out during my stay was how well maintained the property was

If you do not need laundry facilities or if you don't mind to pay extra, go for the hotel itself. Great location on the seaside. Breakfast almost on the beach and a good size swimming pool
Very good position, staff very gentle, breakfast wonderful looking the sea
The hotel is in a very good location and decorated beautifully. It is close to all attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with variety of food
(Top part the balcony I couldn't enjoy it because of the rain but I think it would be great on a sunny day
The guy at the reception was such a nice person!! Everybody was very polite and helpful!! Thanks for the good stay!!
However it could have more European options as it attracts a lot of tourists

Is a nice place to stay in Stone Town. Exactly in the city center, good AC, friendly & welcoming staff, clean rooms and towels. The only disadvantage we encountered was the noisy bed, cracking at every move
Really good value for money. The hotel is not five star, but it is in a great location and the service is great. Hotel is located one block from Park Hyatt, and within close distance to beach front restaurants.
High quality of service and accommodation. Building up-kept and maintained very well. Manager was a man of high class and character, he was extremely accommodating. Room was cozy and very clean — AC worked perfectly
Beautiful hotel, Good services with delicious breakfast. Clean room with good fresh air. The most comfortable and cheapest hotel in Stone Town near Hyatt, Serena and Forodhani. Please visit you won’t regret
Fabulous hotel tucked away in one of Stonetown's narrow streets. This old hotel is well preserved and has a pleasant roof space where breakfast is served. The owners and staff and exceptionally helpful
For non tourists it won't take long to get off the well trodden path to find a different Zanzibar. Would for sure stay here again. Point to note, no hotels in Zanzibar have elevators

Private pool with loungers that you can be served both food and drinks at, perfect place to relax amongst a lovely manicured garden. Dinner and drinks on the rooftop terrace to see the sun set over the harbour water
Wonderful place in Stonetown, not soo noisy, super friendly staff, amazing view on rooftop, great beds and modern bathrooms. It's a fairly new hotel with a small pool which is quite private. I will be back!!
Great hotel when visiting Stone Town. Great location for walking down the harbour/ beach. Rooms are a bit dated and dark but welcoming after a hot day in the sun. Nice pool area again small but all you need
Super location, beautiful old building with great views from the rooftop restaurant. comfy big rooms, nice pool, and superfriendly en helpful staff. Would defenitely come back if I have the chance
Food was excellent with great seafood and continental dishes. Drinks were reasonable and solidly strong with lots of cocktails. My wife has stayed here before and we would both stay here again! Thank you Seyyida!
Stayed here while we spent an evening in Stonetown, lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms were clean and well-kept with the charm of a period Zanzibarian building

The breakfast so delicious and has many options … the room very comfy and has tea and water and coffee all the time … bathroom very nice style and very big and clean has too many types of shampoos and towels …
Well located hotel. The swimming pool is in another building at around 150m. Breakfast should improved a little bit with various foods.
Nice local style and friendly staff Beware the pool is in another building and 150 m
First of all I would like to thank Hamim and Khadija for the amazing treatment… To be honest all the staff were so nice and friendly even the lady who served the breakfast she was amazing and very nice The hotel very clean and the location is amazing and close to everything we need …
This hotel has features of 5 stars hotel
We paid the lowest rates for the rooms available and realised in retrospect the more expensive rooms were more renovated (ie tiled flooring and great bathroom /shower fittings, they are soo divine!!) If you can spend more it is really worth it

We really loved our stay at Hiliki House. Abdul and Mahmoud were both super helpful and booked a couple of really great excursions for us. They also organized transport to our next hotel in Nungwi
Breakfast was good, wide variety of eggs, pancakes and fresh fruit, served in a gorgeous dining room. The bedroom had AC and a fan which was a massive bonus
The place is perfectly in line with Stone Town's incredible architecture and it's been a pleasure spending the night here for a very reasonable price. Staff was friendly and available
Breakfast was below average, needs some improvement. Room was nice and spacious, cleanness good overall. I definitely recommend spending a night here!
Hiliki house is a beautiful old family house in the heart of Stone Town
Picked it as a star item to stay from the Lonely Planet and I wasn't disappointed. Choose the room with an in-room bathroom because they're upstairs. Nice quiet location but still in the old part!

Very beautiful resort with two infinite pools and very good food. The rooms are big and the views are amazing. There is also a local tour guides that you can book within the hotel
Beautiful pool area, nice pier with the opportunity to sit ouside or step into the Ocean Large variety of sporting activities Great Breakfast and Diner Decent Garden, very clean and well maintained
Such a beautiful place, with gorgeous buildings and decor, two stunning infinity swimming pools, beach access and a great ocean view
The downside of the hotel is that the private beach that the hotel has is a little bit far and the water is not so great, but the two beautiful pools compensate
Surrounded by breathtaking views. We were full board and there was not 1 meal we could say anything negative about. We are already booking a family vacation to the hotel for 2024. I would highly recommend this hotel
We stayed at the hotel for a work conference. The room was clean, neat, and very well maintained during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. The property is simply amazing

I am really glad that I chose this hotel for stay for 3 day from 18/06 until 21/06 but really the room and the staff and the view very amazing I love the staff because it’s very friendly with us every day have music at dinner it was very amazing to explore the culture music of zanjabar if I visit again I will choose this hotel One thing I love about them is my last day there was a payment left for...
First time and day in Zanzibar? And guess what ? Its the most beautiful lodge that i ever seen , we booked twoo bedroom villa , and we are shocked wow wow everything is speechless, please dont miss the chance to stay here , 5 stars for the stufffff specially happiness ! Thank you
But do come to this place if you’re looking for a truly authentic African experience and immerse in the local culture of Zanzibar, enjoying peace during your holidays with a book, chilling in the Zanzibar authentic vibe
Very efficient and welcoming resort manager (South African national). Don’t come here if you’re after a resort vibe, a la minute American style butler service, hotel rooms a la Accor hotel group, animation teams, etc
This please was very relaxing and the views were breathtakingly beautiful. The staff were amazing and very friendly, helpful and understanding. Probably one of the best guests service I’ve ever experienced
Great and authentic hotel along the west coast of Zanzibar. Nice rooms, both garden rooms and junior suits very nice. Really nice bartenders/waiters. Exceptional front desk lady (forgot her name)

The hotel is nice, the rooms are very big and spacious, clean and the service is amazing. The staff were so nice and helpful always. I highly recomend this place.
Its a very nice place to go, it is good looking with very cool environment.
I like it it's so wonderfully hotel i never seen b4
The place is really nice, but noisy and at some point especially from 3pm as there several sports activities around the beach area. The beach is really dirty and not taken care of.

Upon bringing this to the Resort Managers attention, her reply was simply," we did not put in a fridge because we wanted to save energy. And she will inform house keeping to replace our room towels
This is supposed to be a 4 star Resort. Our room towels were changed on day6. The coffee station was only filled on day 2 and day 6
Great view of the ocean, not ideal to go and tan on the beach, but next to the pool and bar is great
The staff was very accommodating, the resort is absolutely stunning, and there is lots to do on the property. The receptionist Carol is fantastic and I will definitely be coming back here
They made it first time in Zanzibar very memorable
The reason it's a 4 and not a five is because of the same breakfast menu everyday and the beach which is not great to swim in because of the mud like sand in the water. Lunch and Dinner on the other hand are great

the only other slight issue was that there was no alcohol served at this hotel. It wasn't really a big deal as there is a bar right next door but being able to have a glass of wine with dinner would have made it better
Probably the best hotel in Zanzibar
The staff and location are great. The room has a nice but historic decor. However, the building is very old and smells musty. Had to buy incense for the room to smell better.
It was a really lovely place and the staff were very helpful and friendly but there was no lift and we were on the top floor. And also the food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was average at best
Pros Great location Lovey view of the beach Allowed late checkout (but the checkout time is a little early at 10am!) Large selection at breakfast Beautiful infinity pool and a lot of different seating areas Cleaning staff were nice Cons Staff were slow
Room small and dark and right by the pool but luckily it was low season so it wasn’t too noisy Check in was quick but a bit all over the place Bathroom could have been cleaner Verdict I probably would not stay again

Beautiful rooms, friendly service, good breakfast, great location, complete with a rooftop view of Stone Town and a swimming pool
A chic hotel in an old style, there is a swimming pool, a huge plus. After the stuffy city, go straight to it
The Dhow Palace was very comfortable and clean and in a great spot set away from the port and some of the tourist hotspots where the guys will try and hustle you to go on a tour
The whole hotel is beautiful, our room was great (and had air-conditioning), everything was clean and well maintained. Great views of Stone Town from the rooftop
Fantastic interior. Takes you back 120 years for sure. Very atmospheric. But the food in the restaurant is not great, especially the pizza. Need to work on that.
Our room was relatively small I guess depends on prices. Go see it ! Team in very nice and friendly. Great affordable stay at stone town Zanzibar
