Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach

I stayed here for two nights for a friends wedding. I thought it was pretty pricey but I guess you pay for the location.

My friend stayed in a ocean view room & you pretty much just saw the highway and dirty window. I wouldn’t recommend upgrading. I stayed in a pool view king bedroom & my view was better than the ocean view. The walls were extremely thin and the first night we had to call in a noise complaint. We were on the top floor but we couldn’t fall asleep.

The pool/ jacuzzi area was nice. You can play connect 4 on the side garden outside.

You can’t walk to restaurants, coffee shops, or grocery stores near by. If you like being central to those options I would keep that in mind.

One other thing, kind of crazy to think you need to pay $22 a night for parking. We just paid over $600 for two nights so parking should be included.

The staff working was great and super helpful.

The location is great! But you'll need a vehicle to get to the beach. The views are heavenly. You can watch the sunset from across the street. Restaurants are w/I minutes. The staff at the hotel was very customer friendly. The hotel & grounds were very clean & kept. Once you arrive you'll be given to option to park on the premises for 23.00 a day. Complimentary breakfast is not included. They do have a breakfast buffet for 20.00 per person but we chose to go into Carlsbad for a less expensive breakfast w/ better options. This was a last-minute trip & only availability. All in all my only complaint was the noise from other guest. It wasn't intentional the walls are just paper thin. You can hear the neighbors sneeze & put down the toilet seat. Would I return, maybe. But at $400.00 a night I really expected better coffee & a breakfast muffin.
