Sheraton Dallas Hotel

My favorite thing about my stay was the comfortable bed and the view from my window. The lighting was poor but something I can get over. While there, I happened to accidentally leave behind my toiletry bag. I reached out once I realized my mistake and was directed to a very nice gentleman in security. It had not yet been turned in but he offered to go to the room I was in and personally look. While it wasn't there, I appreciated the gesture. The next day I spoke to him again and my bag was found on the cleaning cart, as the person that cleaned the room the day before had forgotten to turn it in... at least that was what I was told. They offered to FedEx the bag to me and it was only $12 to ship. WIN! I felt that price was incredibly reasonable due to me no longer being in Texas and having already returned home. My bag arrived and sadly, half of my items inside of it are gone. So, that is the reason for the 3 stars. The moment I realized my items had been stolen, all the good things I could say disappeared like my items in the bag. Was it my fault for leaving without my bag? Absolutely. But does that mean it is a finders keepers losers weepers situation? No. If my toothpaste was all they stole I would get over it, but that happened to be the least of my concern. I had a few very high priced items in the bag, again, my bad for leaving it, but their bad for claiming it as their own.

This place looks nice on the outside. The building lobby is nice and impressive. The room was nice when I first looked but as I looked at the details it was giving 2 star. The curtain was broken, it was dusty in the room. The shower had a string of hair on the curtain. After a minute it started to feel unclean and I understood that it just looked good. The food is good. Be mindful when walking on the outside of the building, it’s right next to a homeless hangout; it felt dangerous.

Rooms were clean and big, hotel has some facilities to get coffee and groceries within.

Overall I think the hotel itself is nice, but my main problem is with the bathroom. The toilet flush is as loud as an airplane toilet & lasts a bit longer as well. This was not ideal for a higher tier hotel that you pay $100+ a night. The shower/bathtub drain was also incredibly slow so I had to stand in the water as I took a shower. This might sound picky but standing in your water while showering felt uncomfortable for some reason. The room itself was nice & I thought the bed was comfy. Maybe a little dated if anything. The t.v. had basic cable channels so I was able to watch some movies at night. All the staff members were nice & all rooms may not have the issues mine did which is why I'm giving it 3 stars. I would consider staying here in the future if nothing else was available. Also the photos were taken when I was leaving so the room isn't clean!
