Nice hotel and good location. However was not happy that self park was not available and valet service was the only option, which was an absurd $50. Would not recommend staying here if you are driving your own vehicle as it still took longer for the valet to go get my car and drive it to me opposed to me just walking to my car which would have been faster. Asked if I would be able to use the free night of valet parking promotion on the website but it was not honored and the employee told me I could not get that promotion since I did not input the promo at the time of booking, which I was not even aware of the mandatory valet parking at the time of booking.
There are other hotels that include parking or have self parking which are better options than this hotel. I won't stay here again.

The restaurant manager Kay approached us asking if we were staying at the hotel while sitting at the front of the restaurant eating/drinking the samples they gave us. Instead of asking if we were waited on, she wanted to know if we were staying at the hotel. While we were there to eat and drink, we weren't staying there, but staying at a sister property. She had been staring at us for some time because we were talking to people in the Lobby. We were told by Melissa that worked there that we needed to order something or, "The Manager is going to make it a big deal!" I had to walk up to the bar and order. After we finished or drinks we walked to the mall area. Melissa had informed security that we weren't allowed to talk to anyone there because there had been complaints. Nobody complained other than Kay. The party she said complained receives my donations and will be contacted to further verify the story. I've addressed the entire details with Corporate.

Hotel was not very clean. Dirt on floors, some soap scum in tub, but the dirt and small dead insects in the ice was so gross. Staff said they would put in a ticket and to use ice machines on adjacent floors. But I decided not to eat or drink at the hotel. Great location. Lots of restaurants near by within walking distance. Was there for a concert at the Meyerson - very convenient walk as well.

So I went there 21 Sep, checked in at 11 and then just left and when I got back at midnight felt like going to bed, as I lifted the quilt, there were hair of the last guest!! ON BOTH BEDS. I made a call and the stuff promised me to switch a room, so the guy just came up, handed me the key without saying nothing and then just walked away... And when I was in the new room, guess what, the bed was even dirtier and the room smelt... I mean, is it really hard to clean up?? Or at least a better attitude?

I traveled here for business, and the location allowed a comfortable walk to an from our meetings, which was appreciated. The hotel lobby, bar and common areas are all well maintained and very modern. The room itself, was spacious and comfortable enough. The bed was nice, and the pillows magnificent. I had a problem with my bathroom sink not draining, but upon reporting to the front desk, it was repaired before I could even finish a smoke and a coffee and head back upstairs!
My only complaint is about the desk, the material it is made of does not work with an optical mouse!!! I didn't bring my mouse pad, so I had to find a sheet of paper to make it work. So, helpful tip.. bring a mouse pad!!

I stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks. I was in the process of moving when everything that could go wrong did go wrong. But the staff at this Marriott was impressive. They provided me with an experience that made me feel like a VIP. Led by their very friendly General Manager Juan Calderon and his Assistant Manager Jennica Gonzalez. At the bar, Philippe and Nyjha are a real duo with their personalized cocktails and sense of humor. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you.

I just left this hotel and have to say I was deeply disappointed. Most of the staff were nice but, not all. The walls are made out of paper you can get a noise complaint for simply talking. The room was not cleaned prior to my arrival. The bathroom had urine on the toilet, brown footprints in the shower, the dresser has glass to sit your items which was sticky and foggy, and I know for a fact the room wasn’t cleaned prior to my arrival based on the fact that there was a wedding bag and other items left by the prior guess. The only thing they do is make the beds. Based on what I just said I’d say this hotel is very unsanitary and a great way to catch covid on your trip. I spoke with the staff about how unacceptable my stay was and it turned into an argument. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone don’t be fooled by the nice decor. The beds are most definitely not the size that you pay for. The only thing good about this hotel is the location. Honestly I wanted a refund and to pack up and get out of there. But I was trying to relax away from the world after I found out I had cancer while dealing with the passing of a loved one. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T BOOK HERE.

This is not the experience I was expecting at a Marriott. They have renovated this hotel but there are so many imperfections as seen in the photos. The staff are nice and try to accommodate as much as possible. That's why the 3 stars. It does need a lot of tune up to bring up to the usual Marriott standards or have the overall standards of the chain come down??

The Dallas Marriott Downtown is considered to one of the more “top rated” properties. However, this was the most terrible stay we’ve had at Marriott or any of its brands! Once we arrived in our room, it was not as advertised on the website; there was supposed to be one queen bed and one king bed. The queen bed was more like the size of a full, so two of our guests (slim teenagers), were sleeping back to back! Secondly, the bathroom was not cleaned properly (if at all). There was urine around the toilet, and there were stains around the shower indicating that there was someone previously in the room right before us. As requested, our room did not have enough towels to accommodate all four people booked for our stay and there were not any complimentary hygiene products available for our use. One of the front desk associates stated that they have no affiliation with any of the parking lots around the hotel. However, valet is $30 a night, in the same self-parking lot which is directly across the street from the hotel, and only cost about $18/day. Would not recommend Dallas Marriott Downtown!
