We stayed her for over a week for our honeymoon and it was absolutely superb. The service, food, amenities, and everything in between was 5 star. This is a deluxe resort for a relaxing and beautiful getaway. Each meal for all of the restaurants were delicious and fresh. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel special. We highly recommend!

Oh this place is absolutely breathtaking! From check in to check out the staff made sure there was not one want/need that wasn’t met! Everything was great until the checkout. I had purchased my brother a gift card as a wedding present December of 2020 for $1,000.00. When he presented the card at checkout he was told it was no good by Daniel at the desk as this was now the Waldorf Astoria. He proceeded to tell this to my brother multiple times and was quite rude. Great hotel and fantastic service. The resort, the room, restaurants, bars, pool and even the hallways are extremely well maintained, clean, and very welcoming, but what stands out the most in is this resort are the people who work there. Everyone that I had the pleasure to interact with from the front desk staff, bartenders, restaurant servers, pool assistants, house cleaners are truly the best....

Their is no words that l can that has been said of the resort extreme friendly and go out of there way to assist . I was disappointed with meal. Wow the way they resolved it was to make sure l was extremely satisfied. How many resorts would train their staff the priority goes to the guests. Kudos to management and staff.

This is one of the greatest spots in dana point. The views are outrageous. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The only part that I did not like was that a water bottle cost me 7 dollars. Other the that, it is a great place. Hopefully next time I have more time to golf. I did see that they have GPS on all the golf carts. It was very cool. The ballrooms for meetings were also very large and beautiful

I visited this hotel yesterday to see my friends who were staying there. I was new at this property, therefore, went to the concierge desk to get help for finding the outdoor bar. The concierge was a lady by the name of (Nina) who was very helpful. She went above and beyond my expectations, because she walked me over to make sure I find them even though she was really busy. Top notch! I highly suggest paying extra for the club level. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and all drinks (including alcohol) are complementary AND the food is tasty! The beach area is breath taking, and towels and chairs are provided complimentary. The staff is extremely professional and go above and beyond (shout out to Penny on the club level!)

A family member of mine got my husband and I an ocean view room here as a gift for our honeymoon. We flew to Vegas and drove out to here just to spend a day/night at the beach. The location was great! The view off our balcony was not so great though. This property is expensive and has a hard time living up to the cost. That being said, if cost is not an issue then this is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are wonderful with direct access to a beach just down the hill. The property is very dog friendly. Some properties claim to be dog friendly but then have restrictions. Here our dog was welcomed and appreciated everywhere that we went.

Okay, so we love this place. However, this time on my July 24 birthday we were woken at 3:30 AM by super-loud and obnoxious hotel worker picketers! They banged loud drums and screamed over megaphones from 3:30 to 10:00 AM. Apparently sheriffs came, but couldn’t stop them. We got nearly zero sleep. Nothing past 3:30. Worst hotel stay I ever experienced. The manager agreed to comp us for a future stay...

I stayed in two different types of room - one is one king bed located in the other side and the other is two queen beds with ocean views located in main building. My experience was the room in the main building is kind of lack of maintaining - flood in shower room, no the clean, wifi signal weak and stupid functioning of air conditioning while the king bed room in the other side of building shows better...

I wanted to leave this place with four stars but I felt compelled to highlight the negative aspects which knocked it down. The parking fee is extremely excessive at $35 a day. The hotel is surrounded by major roads and there is no alternative to not park at the facility. Its all underground and generally I felt like it was a safe car park. We got a suite with an ocean view. We were able to watch the ocean from the balcony. The walk to the beach was only about 5 min. The staff was super friendly, and the room was quiet. The roof top lounge had great service, and a cool atmosphere. Couches in the room need an update, but everything else great.

This is a smaller hotel that is very well configured. Love that one elevator services the parking garage, lobby, room and conference floors. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was tasty with many options. Wifi was complimentary, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the ocean view was great. We brought our dog as the hotel is dog friendly and had a great time.

We have stayed 3 nights in May 2023, it looks like the hotel is still in the process of renovation: lots of workers, constant noise, walls and and spots are painted as you pass by, and of course the smell is awful. My husband and I stayed here for 2 years in a row for our anniversary (married for 11 years) and it was the most relaxing vacation/stay! First time we stayed there we had the jacuzzi tub room. Just remember this is on the opposite side of the highway as the ocean and the train tracks. We stayed in one of their newly remodeled rooms that was oceanfront. It was definitely as close to the ocean as you can get in that area. But it is still across the street and the train tracks from the ocean. The view was still very nice especially in the morning. The size of the room was great, it was clean, parking is easily accessible and staff was very friendly. Really cool little hotel, close to the beach and relaxing atmosphere despite the road in front of it.

The room we stayed in was recently redone, spacious with a beautiful view. However, the best part was the warm staff that manages the hotel. The (I think) husband and wife team were extremely friendly and went out of their way to add little touches to the stay such as warming up the room before we arrived in December. We will definitely stay here again when we come back down to visit family.

It's a clean and decent place. Close to ocean and several local bars. I was there for a local event and the price was pretty good. Staff was friendly and efficient. Air conditioning was a little noisy at times until I found the right setting for sleeping. Free breakfast came in handy when I was in a hurry to get going. Great little getaway. Had a blast in the pool with the little one. Room clean, helpful staff, soft linens. Close to lots of great restaurants (Selma's downtown, El Ranchito) & the Outlets!! And you just can't beat the beach breeze all day.

I've gone to this hotel for years. It's not as laid back as it used to be but it's a good middle of the road hotel. Nothing special but there's bad a TV and a great Mexican market and eatery just up the street around the corner. They're also smoking rooms.

We were originally stayed at the awful hostel called house of trestles but that fell thru because we felt unsafe. We felt safe and welcomed here. Very nice owner/manager. The room was neat and clean. A good location with a nice breakfast place just a block away, Rae’s Cafe’, since the hotel does not offer a free breakfast this is a great alternative. We enjoyed our stay here. There is limited parking so if bringing a large vehicle parking on the street may be necessary.

I love this place. The price is affordable for the area. Its one of the cleanest Roadway Inn's that i have seen. The location is not too far off the freeway and its not too close to the freeway. Which is a plus in my book.The majority of the staff is extreamly friendly. They are very accomidating. No complaints from me. For the price 10/10!

Perfect place to stay if you're from out of state. You can walk to the ocean and food selections nearby are great. Also a few blocks south is a nice local shopping district.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip, and I was impressed. The hotel's business facilities were amazing, providing everything I needed to conduct my meetings and work efficiently. The room was comfortable and well-designed, with a spacious desk and reliable Wi-Fi. The staff was professional and attentive, and the room service was great.

Location great right off freeway but not noisy. Clean rooms and lobby. Simple hotel, nothing fancy, but efficient. If you forgot anything small 99 cent store 3-5 minute walk away and San Clemente outlets 15-20 minute walk away 2-3 minute drive.

Been to a lot of HI Express locations ... this is probably the most beautiful. Location near the 5 was not a problem either. Walking distance to the beach was not bad, good sidewalks, lighting and crosswalks. Walling distance to the outlets is not bad either... just dont buy more than you can carry :)

Great location with easy access to the beach and outlet malls. Newly renovated with clean rooms and a very good breakfast. Staff provides excellent customer service and are very accommodating to individual requests. I have stayed at this location multiple times and will continue to do so.

The room patio door was unlocked and slightly open when I first walked in to the room, which was a little concerning. When changing the thermostat, the heater emitted an unpleasant smell. The shower curtain did not look clean at the bottom.

We’ve done some traveling through our timeshare and the stay at the Four Seasons Pacifica was done through trading at II. We stayed in 3 bed, 2 car garage unit(Las Brisas). The view, quality kitchen equipments, and spacious unit made our vacation a dream. It was definitely one of the best experience we had! Beautiful condo with amazing view of ocean from deck. Very clean and stocked up with every utensil one might need. Especially nice was upscale barbecue grill, even had extra propane if needed. Wow, open the windows fool it's the beach. Nobody runs AC at the beach. I can even hear the waves from Bahia at the furthest unit from the ocean. Amazing view and so close to downtown San Clemente. We are owners here and love coming every year. It is a short walk down the hill to a wonderful beach. The pier is just a little south along the beach. There is always something happening at the pier. The surf culture is a real draw here in San Clemente. Freda is a phenomenal hostess and provides amazing gourmet breakfasts. The rooms are romantic and private. The location is outstanding with restaurants and beaches a short walk away. We are planning multiple return visits. What a great escape!

We had a perfect vacation here. Great location, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go yet the property is very private thanks to many beautiful plants, succulents, and trees. After a difficult past year, my daughter and I planned a very last minute to stay at Always Inn. Freida was a breath of fresh air. She went above and beyond in taking care of us! She made us dinner reservations, watched our dog so we could enjoy a nice dinner, bought special snacks for us to accommodate dietary restrictions and on and on. Had a phenomenal stay here. Freda was a very gracious host, and made me feel right at home immediately. It felt like I was staying with a close family friend! Could not have asked for a better experience. We were spoiled with treats and chocolates and advice for the best local places to visit around town. Very kind and hospitibal and I got a perfect nights sleep every night. I highly recommend this place, lots to do in walking distance as well.

Nomad’s is totally great!! I stayed in the boat room for two nights and everything was awesome! Great location in such an awesome town. The boat room was perfect as a solo traveller and I had plenty of space for my board and gear. Will definitely be back! The upstairs bar is great and the poke bowl is exactly as advertised- one of the best!

The location was great, and we liked the decor. The rooms have been recently remodeled and the bathroom was great - very good shower. Beds were comfortable and the linens are also nice. Not a fan of the noise. Restaurant closes at 10 and clean up is over by 11, which is acceptable. Unfortunately, people hang out on the terrace for HOURS and the sound carries all too well.

Our stay was excellent! We stayed in the Bali room and it was super rad. Very clean and spacious! Our twin boys were stoked as well! They each got their own bed. The shower had alot of hooks for wetsuits and there were surf racks in the room. A great place for us to have our own personalized surf camp. We'll definitely come back:)

The location was everything the room was great except couldn’t get the stove to work couldn’t cook and office wasn’t answering the phone after a hour and a half we decided to check the power box shut it off and rebooted the power everything came on besides that great stay

This is not only an awesome location, close to restaurants and shops but very close to the water. We were also pleasantly surprised on how beautiful and comfortable our room is. We’ve enjoyed visiting with Shannon and guests in the owners lounge. We hope to return to San Clemente Cove and will recommend this lovely resort to our friends!

We had an exceptionally relaxing vacation at San Clemente Cove! We went to the beach daily and our hosts provided umbrellas, chairs and beach towels which was a true luxury. The staff was helpful and efficient 100% of the time and the location across from the San Clemente Pier just can't be beat! Thank you for a glorious relax, until we meet again.

Great place to stay if you want to be very close to the beach, like walking distance. The rooms with balcony's was fantastic, and my view was unbelievable. The only thing ( which is NOT their fault ) is I had a van for my business work, and it did not fit in there underground parking. I had to park on the street. I was able to park right in front of the hotel, so all was good !

We adored this spot you cannot beat the view and location. They are open 9 to 5 so you won't be able to speak with anyone before or after that time. We were still able to get an early check in and the rep was gracious enough not to charge us. We stayed in Casa Del Sol. It didn't have a beach view buy the jacuzzi tub made up for it. Stayed here 2 nights definitely smaller rooms good for 2 adults willing...

Location was amazing which is why this isn't a lower score. There was no AC in our room and we were not told about that prior, not even at check in. Unfortunate because the area was experiencing a "heat wave". Looks like it was broken and wouldn't be fixed until later. A few lights were out, wasn't the cleanest and just a few other things not up 4 or 5 star rating.

Very close to the beach. We loved being close to food places along with being about to walk to the beach and pier. There were many options for all meals and a little convenience store all really close. The room we were in was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. We would absolutely stay there again.

Loved everything about this quaint Inn...by the sea. Right by the water, and many restaurants, coffee shops, and more so close. The management, running the Inn, were very kind. Our rooms were in perfect condition, upon check in. Also, very well appointed. Enjoyed our relaxing stay, and will definitely stay again!

My sister and I spent an early Christmas at Seahorse Inn and it was absolutely amazing! We had A 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect with a beautiful view of the ocean! It had everything we needed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The local restaurants were fantastic and local shopping was great! We are looking forward to our next holiday at the Seahorse! We had a two bed apt, one street back from the coast. Fantastic apt, great balcony with great view. The train is always going to be a possible issue on the front at San Clemente, but being a row back with bedrooms at the back of the apt it was no issue at all. Pricey but great. Only issue we had was WiFi going down, a small inconvenience.

Fabulous! Our second stay here, location, accommodation and management all fantastic! Can't wait to go again soon.

Location is right next to Highway 5 so we could hear cars passing from our room. The bed was very comfortable but for the price we would have appreciated breakfast. Nice outdoor seating areas. Ice machines on the floors were not working so we had to get it from the front desk (sandwich size zip lock bag). Staff were all very helpful and nice.

Had a one-night get-away with husband, mother and toddler son. It is a one of a kind hotel: very clean, great rate for a 2-bdr, near the Pier (I took the train down there!). Stayed here for a mini vacation with our 2 small kids. It's a great location with more than a few places within walking distance. The room was really cute and clean and had a very roomy bathroom. Ms Quito already did a correct review. Concur on sliding door not keeping odors out and gaps not providing privacy, and poor water pressure in shower. I would add: the guy checking you in difficult to understand, but friendly and helpful once you get here. When you first enter the room there is a moderate to strong smell of pine sol. The beds are way too soft. Think shallow hammock in a hard wood frame...

The location is very good. The room was clean and roomy. I do consider it to be a good value for the money. It is not the Ritz, but it is really good for the price. Best of all was the clerk. He had to call me twice because I made an error in booking and because my plane was so late in arriving. He was the nicest clerk I have ever dealt with in 100s of hotel.

Tidy, professional staff, reciept at check in. Room was missing a bedroom screen 3rd floor, no window security bolt. Bed was crackly and smelled a bit like urine. Shower head was leaking so turned to tighten fell off in tub water shot me in the face. Road noise unbearable! Single pane window glass. Stuffy but no screen can't open window. Parking good. Near food, gas, shops, beach.

This is their second time staying there, and it's family-owned... Some of which are not the happiest of people... But very confident very efficient... And the rooms are very very very comfortable their newly decorated very clean, and will maintain... Just a very cozy feel... This was a nice sized hotel room. We evacuated to here from Oceanside during the Lilac fire. We used the bed the couch and brought our queen sized aero bed. There was still room in the suite for us to move around and not feel too cramped. The parking in the garage was cramped but there was lots of parking out back.
