Green Seas Motel

We just spent a week in this property. Charming old school feel is real. Like from the 80s. The good first. Clean for the most part. Right on US1 Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. Close to most things or easy straight shot to I95. Cheap for the second part. Third, any interaction with the staff seem to be nice people. Office was open all night long. You did get a flat screen tv of decent size. No station guide and the signal came and went. It did have a fridge that the microwave sat on. The shelves in the fridge were on the last row. All of them. Now for the reasons you wouldn't stay here. Mostly it seems like a mix of longer term residents here. Residents, not guests if that is a problem. Second was size of the rooms. Back in the 80s, I did travel. The only place I've ever stayed smaller was in Toyoko. We stayed in a relatively updated room. Fresh paint, newer mismatched tile. Furniture was literally from IKEA. TV had signal problems. My friend is very protective of her items. So we didn't report the loose shower handles, loose toilet seat and the shower tension curtain rod askew. The curtain laid on the floor in the shower for 3 or so inches. The headboard was loose and hit the wall. You would think someone would inspect it for issues. The TV was on an end table and blocked the AC to a degree. And the phone was your own cell phone. No landline in the room. Not that they did a horrible job on rehabbing units, but there is no sound proofing. We heard the next room pretty well. The door between the room was residential hollow core door. Doesn't block noise. The AC fan masked a lot of the noise. The bed was not a high quality bed. Inexpensive hotel mattress with little padding. Housekeeping was 'as requested'. You had to ask for more soap, toilet paper and clean towels. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. It was weekly or check out service for linens. Something told me there might be problems as no rooms are on the listing ads. Just the outside which looks cute. In short, if you are on a strict budget looking very inexpensive and can put up with minor? issues, this is good. But it is a one start hotel basically. And it's locally owned it seems. But it was clean.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST.
Between the staff, the room, the insane rules - BY FAR THE WORST STAY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
The place is filthy. The staff is insanely rude. My sister and I ended up leaving and crashing at our family's airbnb for the night because of how bad our room was. We were given a queen bed with one pillow each, & the flattest pillow you can imagine. One towel was provided. The room had an awful mildew smell. You can see bug/mice droppings along with dead bugs. They charge you a $50 cash deposit when checking in ( they do not have a working ATM) so had to cross the street to get the cash out. Sketchy area. They have insane rules that I have never seen nor heard of even when staying at a 5star hotel. They will do everything in their power to not give you your deposit back. The place is run by crooks. When we woke up at our family's airbnb and droe back to check out and get our deposit back, we witnessed many guest being denied their deposit for the most unethical reasonings. I wouldn't refer my enemy to stay at a place like this place. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Do better or go ahead and close down.
It was by far the worst in all areas.

The hotel is nice but some of the rooms smell like paint but yes they are nice

The size of the room, the softness of the bed,clean linens most importantly a clean bathroom.
There's no lobby after hours, there was a line for check-in which I stood in for 30min just for the clerk to tell me it's a $50 deposit and the ATM doesn't work, you'll have to go use a ATM somewhere else, which I did but when I came back I had to wait in line ALL over again if the young sister didn't come and help him I would still be waiting. Oh and the hot water sucks as in 5min the hot water goes out
P s some rooms have REALLY SMALL BEDS AND TOILETS RIGHT NEXT TO THE BED!! PICTURE FOR REFERENCE!!!
Seems like a lot of "extended stay" type/homeless people who have a lot of strange activity in and out of the rooms... Idk. I didn't get the room we were told we were getting and after seeing the small one I demanded something bigger!!

Room was not cleaned before my check in, roaches everywhere & staff were not helpful when I brought to their attention the tv was not working. I waited 3 days for maintenance to take a look (they never did)

They have 3 or 4 different places together, I stayed previously and it was a nice stay, but this second was definitely not a good room. The location is excellent.

Because they didn’t clean the room the first day at check in was the only time my room was clean i kept going to the front desk to ask for supplies and I asked about extending stay they gave me a good price but after I kept going to the front desk they kicked me and my family out we are hurricane victims and I was hurt because the price was right

Has Bedbugs literally crawling around the bed. Place is owned by RICHARDS HOTELS/ RICHARDS MOTELS/ RICHARD basically anything around here is all the same Hotel Owners. Homeless people and crack heads walking around and free to come in pool whenever they want. No bueno. BUT, you get what you pay for.
