Reviews
To check in at the hotel I had to wait in line for an hour because the hotel only had one employee to check in. The line was 10 people long to check in. Once I checked in, I was assigned room 1506 and was told that I would be charged a parking fee of $17 per day. When we arrived at building fifteen, there was no parking available. I went in to check out of the room and when I walked in, the filth in the room was unbelievable and I will describe it to you. The floor was full of dirt, leaves, and food scraps. The sink was full of food scraps. The kitchen was full of grease and the microwave was full of grease and dirty finger marks. The sink had toothpaste remains and hair all over it. The bathtub was stained, and the shower was full of hair and black stains on the tiles. The beds were full of hair and stains, you could tell the sheets had not been changed. The refrigerator was dirty. I complained with the reception. They changed the room. I was assigned to a second room number 607. When I went to check in, there were two large suitcases, two Cokes in the refrigerator and a tray of Cuban pastries. This indicates that I walked into a room already occupied by other people and they had left their belongings there. I called to complain and told them that the room they assigned me was occupied. I was moved to a third room in 211, old and dirty. The bathroom was dirty and full of hair. The kitchen was clean, and the beds were clean. The carpet smells like dog urine. My family and I spent more time changing rooms, plus the time we spent at the check-in process. This issue took me a total of 3 hours of my day. I ask them to take away the parking fee and they told they can't, but they are going to take the $35 dollars cleaning fee.
In conclusion, I would not return to this dirty and poorly managed resort. I would never go back, and I recommend that you do not be fooled because it is in Doral, the level of this hotel is as if you were staying at a hotel in the Miami airport area. A lot of facades, but in the end, it is very dirty.
Downside it’s not being managed well. It’s under staffed, there is no regular housekeeping, and the rooms are rather worn. It’s a shame because it’s a great property with huge potential. Pics of pool and places just 1-2 blocks away to visit.
Rooms are spacious, clean, surplus of soaps lotions and shower supplies. Clean, comfortable beds with down pillows. A strong and mighty air conditioning that carried us our entire week stay. And whenever we would adjust it even a couple notches warmer or colder it would adjust very quickly. It was honestly an amazing and satisfying stay. We needed a repair on the washing machine and it was fixed same day which was great, with kind staff. The bed was so good I somehow didn’t have a hangover after partying the way I did. I just got a really good nights rest, and it wasn’t even the master bedroom. Loved the pool and how it provided towels on site, and the included rooms such as the fitness center. Had a great time overall, thank you!
- Bed was comfortable. Room is spacious. Forniture too old and damaged. Carpet to be removed being too dirty and very old. Room, windows, I stayed in this hotel for 12 nights. Forniture too dirty. The hotel do not provide any cleaning of the room. The manager was never present. I tried calling the manager too many times, left many messages, wrote several emails, without any reply. The swimming pool is abandonate to clients who, most of the times, do not respect the rules (no shower before entering in the water; eating and drinking while in the water. People entering the water with their dirty clothes and shouting each other; Dirty Jacuzzi with too many people standing inside for hours. We couldn’t use the swimming pool for 2 days as it was reserved for a private party, without any notice to the clients. In two occasions we didn’t find any towels and, although we informed the front desk, towels were not provided. The use of the steam room was a bet: either there were no towels or the door was closed. Our complaint at the front desk didn’t solve the problem as they didn’t have any key. Front desk personnel was a disaster. A total useless people. The personnel in general, incredibly doesn’t speak English. The only exception was a kind lady, Nora Garrido, Senior Sales Manager, who was very helpful when requested and I appreciated her full understanding. Room dirty and unattended The front desk is useless.
They are misrepresenting the property with old photos giving you the impression you have a course view of Trump Doral. There have since been a tall line of trees planting completely separating the hotel from the golf course.
I do not recommend this property.
We had mold on ac vent, ants on the nightstand, bathroom were dirty.
Location was positive since its close to all the restaurants and City Place. BUT Definitely safe your self the headaches and inconveniences.
