The room was warm so it smelled moldy. I was told to come get towels and rags myself at the front desk. The doors were a bit difficult to close, you really had to pull it. I barely interacted with any staff member aside from them telling me to come get my own stuff. The location is great if you're going to universal, it's less than a 10 minute drive. That's honestly the only perk here...that and free parking, I guess.

We had a nice experience here for our 1 night stay. Hotel and room was clean, breakfast was good, and service was friendly. I would stay here again for future trips.

Bed is so hard. I couldn't sleep. The shower head blasted water so hard that it soaked everything in the bathroom. It is close to universal but not as close as I thought it was. You could hear through the walls. The curtains let a lot of light through. The omletes were good but the Scrambled eggs taste fake and rubbery. The keys to our room didn't work 2 times. We had them change out the door battery and it still didn't work, we had maintenance come out twice. One of the elevators was broken when we got there then the other elevator wouldn't open the outer door the first time it tried so we thought we would get stuck. Kind of a headache. Thankfully we weren't there most of the day since we were at the parks.

Amazing location and a very friendly staff. Hotel was clean. Hot breakfast was pretty good. Dog friendly. Room was good, nice big tv and good amenities. Walls are thin, typical to most hotels. We would stay here again if in the area, great value for the price.

This is a very nice location. I know it is at the bottom of the Hilton chain but I have found that Hamptons give you a good value and the room was very nice and larger than you would expect. You are also about as close as you could be to Universal without staying right on the property. You have plenty of food options around you. I was told that it is approximately of one mile walk but they do offer a shuttle over at 8:30 to Universal and the shuttle pick you back up at 5:30.

The front desk woman that checked us in was awesome. Room was clean and cozy. Bed was comfy. Loved the shampoo stuff. Breakfast was good.

We had an excellent stay at the Hampton Inn. Room was nice and housekeeping did an excellent job and were fast. Went down to breakfast and she was finishing our room when we came up! Pool was great. The only thing missing was an on-site self-service laundry. They have an arrangement with the hotel across the parking lot but I didn't want to have to go next door. Will stay here again.

The Hampton Inn closest to universal studios gets five stars. The main reason is because above and beyond services by Melanie at the front desk.
We came in early and she got us a room ready early and even checked us in automatically while we were in the lobby waiting. Not to mention bringing out some snacks for us and checking in on us.

If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...
This smaller Hampton is like "coming home" to us. It needs a few updates and desperately needs brighter bulbs in room lamps but we always enjoy our stay. Sylvia, Cameron, and that great lady who does the breakfast make this one 5 star to us.

Although hotel is a little dated the Staff is AMAZING!!!! They are all friendly, kind, caring and defiantly go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. The rooms are clean and beds comfy. Staff defiantly makes this hotel great!!!! Would defiantly recommend it to everyone.
