Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort1 / 50

Orlando, 6550 Adventure Way 🧭 Map
The resort was better than I expected. The facilities were great and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that there was no bellman service at check-out.
Thanks for the great customer service to Ms. Tracy who understood and helped us cancel our stay due to the hurricane.
The shower temperature would not adjust only scolding. Found a water bottle between our bed and the nightstand was not ours. Other than that it was excellent and we will be back.
The location is good for going to Universal Studios. There are frequent shuttles and early admissions, so it's good. It's a bit old, but it's good for creating a Universal atmosphere.
This is the best choice when visiting Universal. I am also satisfied with the food corner.
The only thing I can say, is the access into the parking lots are tricky sometimes, the key doesn’t work too well and you have to keep entering the card room key in order to gain access into different parts of the hotel. Other than that, it was a very perfect stay!!! Staff is incredibly friendly and there is quite a few places to eat in and around the resort! Plenty if things to see and do with a bar...

hotel room was fine, bed comfortable and outside area is nice with the pool and the pool bar.
Hotel was extremely clean and the food options provided at the hotel where pretty good. The pool is nice even though I didn't enjoy it. The venue for the professional event that I was attending was very well organized, clean, and easy to attend as the location was within the hotel. The hotel is also within walking distance of a few restaurants in centrally located near many areas of entertainment in...
Beautiful resort. The pool is huge and warm. Has two hot tubs and a bar outside by the pool. Everyone is friendly. The buffet is delicious. Has spas and other great restaurants near lobby. Resort is connected to convention center. Valet parking. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Located near Valcano bay and i believe Universal. Lot's of places near by. Definitely a resort worth going...
Room was great, very clean and comfortable. Best pillows in a hotel I've ever stayed in. Hot water was plentiful and immediate. The hotel itself was easy to navigate and had several different food options. Only issue was the concierge and front desk staff were not very knowledgeable or welcoming and the food service is pretty slow.
Very nice hotel and very quiet rooms! The staff is friendly, and the restaurant/bar options are nice. The pool is heated which was nice since it was a cooler Florida day with a breeze. The room has all the normal amenities (mini fridge, hair dryer, iron and board, etc). There's not a whole lot of young people there. Probably more attractive stay for business people or families with more money. I quite...
Was impressed with the layout and structure of this building. Rooms were nice, pool was big, only one clothing drawer in the room. Microwave available for use in the deli. Only big issue, was when we caught a ride from the motel to dinner, we called for them to send someone to pick us up, they didn't tell us that the drivers went home around 8. We had to call a taxi to come get us. Other than that...

this is the best location for OCC south/north facility - I wish the organizers let us know and that I stayed the full time. fantastic bell service!

My first time. My Sister is a time share owner and we had an AMAZING TIME IN OUR VILLA. The room service for coffee, laundry detergent, paper products, all the things you could possibly need they provide. Well maintained property. Halloween is the current holiday. They have decorated thru out the community. It's not raunchy either. We'll out together. I truly will be back.
It is a very ideal place to spend a vacation if you have the time. A whole lot of amenities for both adults and kids to enjoy. Wish I had more time to enjoy every single bit of this resort but alas my vacation was short. The customer service was very good and timely. The rooms were very clean and well put together o and the bed soft and cuddly like a cloud. Would definitely recommend to people to stay...
Front desk was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok but they didn't have comfortable drawers to put your things on and not enough places to hang towels. The kitchen had only 4 of each thing which is annoying, as you usually need one of those to prepare the food and such... The swimming pools were disappointing because they were very small, simple and always crowded. The shock was to go to...
Loved staying here. The room we stayed in was outdated in the washroom, washroom had molt in the showers and the carpet in the room had an odor. The kitchen was renovated and lovely. For the price I expect everything to be at the level of the cost and it wasn't. Customer service was great. The hot tub by our room was broken but within days was fixed, so that's a plus. Overall I would visit again but...
We have a time share, but could only use Friday to Friday. This didn't fit our schedule... What a pain.... But, I booked a room the night before. Kevin at the check in was able to combine the two reservations and we got into the bigger suite in a day earlier. We also checked in at noon rather then 4pm. Which was great. We loved the room and we were able to walk to Walmart to get supplies for the week...
Impressed. No complaints. Staff was gracious, courteous, and prompt when service was requested. Rooms were updated, spacious and well appointed. My family enjoyed one day of the resorts amenities while on our Disney trip, which included, mini golf and the paddle boats. Staff were all nice. Grounds were well kept and beautiful. Am not an owner, although was treated as such for the deal that I got. Still...

Perfect stay, access to the parks 1 hour before opening, shuttles every 15 minutes.
As far as I know, this is the most affordable hotel directly managed by Universal Studios Orlando, and the room key card doubles as an early entry ticket. The shuttle bus leaves every 10-15 minutes from 7:00, and it takes about 10 minutes by bus to get there. There are many restaurants around the hotel, so it was safe to go out at night.
The hotel upgraded the room type, which is large and suitable for families. The hotel has a Universal Studios shuttle bus, which allows entry one hour in advance. There are many places to eat and supermarkets around the hotel, which is very convenient.
Friendly service and complete supporting facilities
this hotel is in a great location with free shuttle back and forth the universal area. There is an iride that takes you to the outlet and eat-out area that is pretty buzzling. there is no requirement to drive. If you love walking, this is really convenient location with supermart within 10 mins walking distance. *Impt: for international travelers *
If you visit Universal Orlando, this is a nice hotel with good pool and gym. Big bed as well and nice hotel. Provides shuttle to places around and also shops and supermarket within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was amazing. Very welcoming, clean, and with all the amenities. Nice big pool with a bar. Miniature golf and much more. It is right next to sea world and aquatica. We will be staying again. Thank you DoubleTree at SeaWorld.
Staff service is fine. Stay location was different from what was advertised in trip.com. At app they show you’d stay at Hotel’s main building nice rooms, but when got to property, they had us stay at old villa’s building. Sounds like the switch and bait deal.
This was such a pleasant stay. I was here for work and study. And it was thoroughly enjoyable. What makes this place so great is the staff. They go above and beyond and they do it with a smile, and that is not easy. Anyone who is familiar with the hotel business knows how hard they work. We had two separate bookings and we were worried about waiting around to check into the second room. The staff made...
Great place! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Orlando. The breakfast is incredibly delicious, with a great variety of options to start your day right. Upon check-in - we were taken care of by Christopher. He was very cordial and made sure our needs for our accommodation was met. Great environment and atmosphere at the property. Stayed twice now and overall very pleased with a few things. Location is perfect and most things are 10/20 min drive. Rooms are nice, usual Orlando look and feel but the beds are really comfy. Staff are generally all really nice. Parking is easy enough, lots of spaces. Just a nice hotel for stopping for 1-2 nights! Very pleased.

Kids lived the pools and the time they spent there. They have events for all ages every day that added to the fun.
Beautiful resort! Well maintained property throughout. Plenty of activities. Amazing staff, great drinks, food, live entertainment etc. Our family can’t wait to return!
A great place to stay with kids for SeaWorld & Universal. Lots of activities on site, 2 big pools, so comfortable. Definitely would stay again!
It would have been all 5 stars but check in was rude at gate and unfriendly at front desk. Everything else was what you would expect from a well-run Marriott property.
I really enjoyed the wonderful pools, the fun staff and activities all week for kids and adults. There was a small nail that was sticking up on the ground that snagged mine and my fiance foot and the people upstairs were dragging things across the floor at all hours of the day and night and quite loud. Other than that it was a wonderful say and I would absolutely stay again
$25 s night extra for parking! Not alot of hotel activities for kids but plenty of water fun. I prefer the sister hotel across the street.

This hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Orlando if you have your own transportation. I will say that it is decently far from the airport, so you need to carefully decide if it is close to what you want to see. The pool, water slides, and hot tub were great for both kids and adults. My children also loved the arcade and movie theater. We came in the off-season so most of the food options in the...

Near by the Universal, good location. Amenities are little bit old, but services are good.
Good price and value. Good location in terms of being near the big attractions and walking distance to restaurants, including no less than 4 Indian restaurants. Very near LYNX bus stops, but be forewarned that the Orlando public bus is very undependable. Most of the staff are bilingual, and housekeeping is prompt and thorough. On the negative side, the swimming pool is very busy, filled with children...
No elevator, which can be a drawback if you have heavy luggage. However, the surrounding area offers plenty of convenient dining and drinking options, and it's close to the exhibition center.
Great location, close to everything: the airport, restaurants, Walmart, and bus stops. It has a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere. Perfect for a trip to Universal Orlando, especially with the super convenient free shuttles. Housekeeping is done daily, and the room is comfortable, even though the decor is a bit dated and the cleanliness isn't perfect. Overall, excellent value for money.
i love that it is accesible and it has a convinience store. we can leave our luggage also at the storage before and after check in. my complain is the carpet in the room is dusty. they gave us a room at the very back of the hotel. I ask if a closer room but there was non😞 it was quite a walk after going to the theme parks . . . tired! ask for a room closer to the front desk if possible.
Great place to stop if you need to get your head down for a night. Close to the parks. Good food options and nice staff
It was cheap. Located next to a Walgreens, IHOP, Dennys and McDonald’s. Good Tv with Hgtv channel. Very near Universal Studios.

I love this hotel, I have been there before and this time I took my family, but the only thing I have never liked is that one drop of water falls and they throw you out of the pool. While the room itself was nice, my stay was overshadowed by a serious safety issue. I was injured by a metal piece sticking out from the bottom side of the bed, which left me with a wound that has now turned into a permanent scar on my leg. Despite properly and promptly reporting the incident , I was only compensated $52 for the resort fees by the front desk attendant. And no further contact has occurred...
It is a resort-style hotel with two outdoor swimming pools, a small gym, and a lobby where you can eat and drink. The parking lot is also very convenient.
The hotel has a good environment, a good location, and good lobby service. The elevator was out of order, so I had to wait a long time to go downstairs. The hotel facilities are a bit old.
Really nice pool area and the little Starbucks inside is really cool. Breakfast buffet dining does not have enough wait staff. The servers were very friendly but very overworked. Think hard about hiring more servers

The only negative I can think of that is not in their control is that the room will...
I would recommend this place. First off, know what you are getting! This is NOT a high end resort! It is a little older, and they offer both newer high rise and older motel style 2 story buildings. Everything was good for the price though. They have a nice pool area to hang out in. If you are planning to go to Disney or Universal this is more than nice enough to have a good time
I can honestly say my experience was Excellent! Took my family for spring break and we had absolutely no complaints! The staff was very friendly. I booked three rooms and all were in great condition. The location of the hotel is an excellent spot in Orlando because it’s close to everything. We were able to walk to a lot of places. I would definitely stay again without question
As someone who has read the reviews before going and comparing them to actually being here...I honestly have no clue where half of the people writing reviews about this hotel are staying. I like this hotel. It has early bird tickets for the park. Unfortunately, there is no U-Pass. You must have a U-Pass, otherwise you will have to wait in line for a long time.
It is quite modern. You can enter the park early. There is a very convenient shuttle bus. The parking lot is very close to the park. The cost performance is quite high. Please note that the room is cleaned every other day, so there is no daily water and small gifts. It is still very convenient to eat.
Everything about the Universal Hotel is pretty good. The hotel facilities are of normal level. It is convenient to have a direct bus to Universal Studios. One good thing about the hotel is that it provides ice cubes, which is very special and is on every floor.
We stayed here for the early admission to the park, and for the shuttle bus. The location is so convenient for the park, and it was the best division to stay here. This resort needs to be shutdown and renovated from head to toe. The property is horrible. I didn't actually stay there, I reserved it for a friend.
Moldy smelly roaches non working phones the toilet wouldn't flush and the lamp was missing a bulb. Dirty stained carpets stained blankets moldy smelling air-conditioning
Great location, rooms were OK. Perfect spot to rest after a Disney park, but that's it. You gotta know that it's just a place to crash after you're doomed from being the whole day at the parks. Good parking, and there's a pharmacy next, just in case. Be aware, there's a LINE for checkin at 11PM from all the people coming back from the parks, yes.....even here you have to do a line.

The hotel struggles to keep the relative humidity in the buildings at an acceptable level. Other than that the hotel is clean, staff is nice, and the rooms are a nice size.
Clean room, comfortable huge double bed, friendly staff. Although I did get bitten by a mosquito but managed to find and squash it! One point to note is that they do not give free bottled water. There are water cooler/collection points near the lobby. So bring your own bottle. Another tip for showering is to put the curtain inside the tub. Else the water would flow out and cause a flood.
Good location and the food of the restaurant is good as well. The staff of the hotel is polite.
Really economical. Only down was stains on bedsheets and hot tub not working. Hot tub that was working, water was dirty. Great spot to save money and stay close to it all.

I was really disappointed to find out there was a parking fee that was never mentioned anywhere in the listing. For a family on a budget, unexpected charges like this make a big impact and add stress to what should have been a smooth experience. The fee itself was very expensive, and it felt unfair to be surprised with this cost. I would kindly ask that you update your listing to reflect this information...
The room is a bit old, but it's good for business travel
Spent a few days in this location. Bus to SeaWorld was convenient in the morning. Bus never picked us up in the evening though??? Had to walk back to the hotel. Room was clean. The public areas could use a freshening up. Seems I keep picking hotels that allow pets?? I didn't care for the people outside hanging out smoking weed either. Just my opinion.
We just stayed here and we loved it! Rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The location is great for all attractions in town. Very quiet location as well. My only small critique is that the yogurt was past date by about 15 days at the breakfast buffet. I grabbed someone's attention and they took it all and trashed it. They replaced it right away.

Clean and acceptable for a decent hotel. Decent price too. It does seem to have very limited amenities like no daily room cleaning or breakfast or coffee or any basics.
