The resort was better than I expected. The facilities were great and the staff was friendly. The only downside was that there was no bellman service at check-out.

The location is good for going to Universal Studios. There are frequent shuttles and early admissions, so it's good. It's a bit old, but it's good for creating a Universal atmosphere.

This is the best choice when visiting Universal. I am also satisfied with the food corner.

The only thing I can say, is the access into the parking lots are tricky sometimes, the key doesn’t work too well and you have to keep entering the card room key in order to gain access into different parts of the hotel. As far as I know, this is the most affordable hotel directly managed by Universal Studios Orlando, and the room key card doubles as an early entry ticket. The shuttle bus leaves every 10-15 minutes from 7:00, and it takes about 10 minutes by bus to get there. There are many restaurants around the hotel, so it was safe to go out at night.

While the room itself was nice, my stay was overshadowed by a serious safety issue. I was injured by a metal piece sticking out from the bottom side of the bed, which left me with a wound that has now turned into a permanent scar on my leg. The hotel struggles to keep the relative humidity in the buildings at an acceptable level. Other than that the hotel is clean, staff is nice, and the rooms are a nice size.

Clean room, comfortable huge double bed, friendly staff. Although I did get bitten by a mosquito but managed to find and squash it! One point to note is that they do not give free bottled water. There are water cooler/collection points near the lobby. So bring your own bottle. Another tip for showering is to put the curtain inside the tub. Else the water would flow out and cause a flood.
