JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes

This is a conference hotel first and foremost with guests either here for conferences or using their Marriott points. Paying cash for a room here felt like flushing money down the drain. The pool area was very nice but the bad behavior at the pool by some of the clientele left a lot to be desired. We rented a cabana And didn't see our server for an hour and 45 minutes. This isn't an exaggeration. The drinks he brought became less consistent and more watered down as the day went on. The cabana was not private and didn't have loungers so we had to utilize free chairs to lay on ourside the cabana. We had two sets of guests come in trying to take floats out of the cabana for their personal use as it wasn't off the beaten path with no curtains for privacy which is one reason our family rents cabanas at other resorts. The food at the pool is passable. The burgers were quite good though as was the chicken sandwich. The restrooms at the pool were run down with an odd layout and dead bugs in the sinks. Not what I expected.
The rooms were okay. The layout was a little odd which we actually enjoyed and the tv is the biggest I've seen in a hotel room, probably ever.
