The Point Hotel & Suites Universal

I would say that typically this is a nice hotel, but it needs work. When we went there were two door entrances that you couldn’t use and parking is only available really on one side of the building so accessibility wise it’s kinda a nightmare. However, the rooms are really nice. It’s clean. I did hear a dripping in our room and it needed an update… the water wasn’t hot… lukewarm warm at best the entire stay. The location and cleanliness of the hotel make it one of the reasons I rated it so high. The women’s bathroom on the main level doesn’t lock but it’s pretty. Again, it needs work. If they fixed the doors, lock and water temp it would’ve easily been a 5 star! The pool is huge and the hot tub is nice. If you’re looking for a good gym this isn’t it though. There’s a couple of cardio machines and two weight machines (chest press and leg curl) but no dumbbells. You can walk while you’re here to everything. We liked that the pirate dinner we booked was literally right around the corner. 5 min walk or less. Easy walk to I-drive too. Be sure to note the resort fee and parking fee. Oh also, check in can be super slow. We waited like 45 min to check in upon arriving.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend on our group trip to Universal. From the moment we walked in, the front desk concierge attendant, Tiffany, was so nice. She always had a smile on her face and was so kind throughout the entire process. I wish all hotel employees were like her, anytime I had a question or request she answered it to the best of her ability.

As for the hotel itself, the rooms were extremely spacious and clean. One of the rooms we got was the double king bedroom, and for the price of $100 a night it was fantastic. On top of that, we also got a few $15 vouchers for food that we could use at the bar.

The food at the bar was very good as well. The two bartenders who waited on us were so nice. We ordered a lot of food lol, but the bartender always had a positive attitude and made some really tasty food. The second bartender we had made us smoothies in the morning for breakfast and was overall just a very positive person.

Overall, this experience was really great. The facilities were clean and the staff was so polite and helpful. My friends and I already decided that the next time we come back to Orlando, we will be staying here at this hotel. If you book at least 2 months in advance, you'll be sure to get the best bang for your buck out of all hotels in International Drive. Overall 10/10 and will be recommending. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms were very spacious and clean. A special thanks to one of the staff/managers for the fruit tray she had waiting in our room when we returned from a day at the park. It was a great and thoughtful surprise. Very close to universal studios and other parks.

Very clean, spacious and centrally located. The room I stayed in was a one bedroom suite. It was very clean and spacious. It had a separate bedroom and large bathroom with a full kitchen. There is a large pool with a bar. There is also a restaurant that serves a buffet breakfast for an extra charge. We did not eat at the hotel so I do not have a review of the food. It is centrally located in Orlando near I-drive and Universal Studios. Two drawbacks were the housekeeping cart was in the hall for two days and hard to find a parking space Saturday night late. Very minor issues. This is a much nicer hotel then I normally stay in. Very nice accomodations if you are staying in Orlando. Great views from upper floors. I highly recommend this hotel!

Lovely hotel. Suites are large with great facilities - ideal if you have kids who are happy to take the sofa bed. Pool is basic but clean and safe, with plenty of beds and fresh towels available. Location is great for Universal and International Drive.

I'm only giving 4 stars BC the TVs are outdated and I prefer a liquid soap over bar soap. We didn't get to enjoy the pool but it was clean and neat. Bartender was a little rough around edges..
The suite was super clean! Very very nice.. everything was neatly placed and easy to find . The jetted tub was amazing .. the carpets could be cleaned bc there are stains but it wasn't dirty . It smelled very fresh not moldy or mildew like past resorts. Chicken wings we ordered weren't very good but it was late. The parking isn't that great. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was close to everything. Very pleased overall.
