Woodlark Hotel Portland

I've stayed at this hotel twice now and it's so beautiful every time. The staff is fantastic and so kind. Isabelle gave us amazing recs in the area. The room is so clean and spacious. There was a lot of construction noise the first time I stayed but it seems like it has stopped. Definitely give this hotel a chance, it's probably one of my favorite places to stay (in the US) and it's women owned!!!

Amazing hotel, staff and rooms. I had a great coffee and delicious bakery item every morning of my 5 day stay.
The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and shopping..
We had dinner in the hotel first night and definitely a delicious meal worthy of the price..
Drinks in the bar area were fun and exciting ❤️👍😋

Great overall experience. Amazing room, the hotel showcases some phenomenal architecture and decor. Great staff. Good valet service. My only complaint is no coffee in the rooms, you have to head down to the lobby (although you can request it be brought to your room in advance)

We spent a week at The Woodlark in July, and had a great experience! The staff are so welcoming, and helpful and they even upgraded our room. The rooms are beautiful, and stocked with waters, and nice shampoos/lotions, etc although the rooms are pretty small. The hotel is quiet, but there was an event going on Friday night, which was very loud and even on the top floor kept us up until after midnight.

The coffee shop downstairs is delicious! We didn't try the restaurant as it didn't have great vegan options.

Hotel is in a good location, with a Target walking distance, and a short walk to public transportation!

Overall we were very pleased with our stay, and would definitely recommend to a friend and would stay again 😊

The hotel is stylish and in a nice location. The lobby is beautiful and has a great coffee shop that many people use in the morning and work from.

The restaurant is great too, tasty food and wonderful drinks.

The rooms are very nice but are a little small. Overall a great staff, the staff are all very nice and helpful.

We got the Loft style hotel room and it was gorgeous! It was a birthday getaway for my son and myself. We didn’t have a great experience at the beginning and missed out on some available amenities due to the front desk staff that evening but Brianna the next morning went above and beyond to remedy the situation which is why I would book again. If it weren’t for her and how she handled everything I would have given a lower rating and probably not come back despite to gorgeous room. Thank you Brianna!

Close to transit, restaurant options and many walkable Portland neighborhoods/attractions. Interior and accomodations offered at hotel are great, with an evening restaurant, fancy bar and morning breakfast. Our room was great with all the expected offerings and room service was responsive. Be aware the hotel is right next to a construction site for a 35 story tall building that is in midst of construction. They included earplugs in our room upon check-in. The Woodlark charges an extra $20+tax per day in a titled 'guest amenities fee' for guests (includes workout room usage, bike+helmet usage, complimentary wifi and some other inclusions) so be aware of extra fees on top of your expected total paid hotel fee. While this guest amenities fee is on their website, it is not regularly visible on 3rd party booking sites. Other than this extra fee and potential construction noises, the Woodlark was a great stay.

The Woodlark is definitely full of character, style & design! The location to the center part of the city, shopping & top notch restaurants is amazing. If you stay here definitely check out the food trucks in square, 1927 Smores 2 blocks west & the coffee shop in the lobby HOWEVER know that if doesn’t open until 8am which is a massive disappointment. In the 20 minutes I sat in the lobby 15 people between 7-8am came to order coffee to which they were all turned away. As it’s one of the only coffee shops within a few blocks… what coffee shop opens so late & know it closes before 4pm. Atleast an earlier hour during summer hours would be better serving to the clients staying at this hotel.

They have bike rentals however snatch them up early as they were checked out for the majority of our 3 day visit. Additionally the rooms KNOW while design is amazing & you’ll sleep like a rock on the amazing beds, the rooms are TINY! You have more space in the bathroom than the rooms.

I know a ton of people complained in reviews about cleaning & noise… we didn’t experience any of that in our room on the 5th floor. They provided ear plugs but we didn’t need them. They are building the new Ritz next door so Monday which was our checkout day there was some noise however it was so loud it woke us up.

Overall I rated it a 4/5 for the amenities, design, kindness & cleanliness of the hotel & room. We would definitely stay again in the future.
