Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel1 / 39

Portland, 1401 Southwest Naito Parkway 🧭 Map
The location was ideal for the conference I attended. The room was clean and spacious. There were some wi-fi connectivity issues, but it did not affect my work. My wife and I had a pleasant stay overall.
My wife and I come to Portland once a month, but our first stay at this property was October 8 through October 15th. And now, we will not stay anywhere else going forward! The service and location are both fantastic. We are Titanium Elite with Bonvoy, and we were treated so well. I don't think it was because of our status, but I do think it is just your norm. Our room (1415) view was spectacular...
The location of the hotel is pretty good. I liked everything overall except the gym. The gym was so hot, I was going to call downstairs instead I went downstairs but they were too busy. It was just a very busy day today I think at this hotel. So I elected to just go jog outside this plenty of places you can get. But I wanted to do some freeway send it cut down my time I could handle in the gym. Other...
The front desk and valet person Elijah was very helpful. The hotel is set up nicely. I wouldn’t recommend for families. The downfalls were no pool, breakfast unless you were a Marriott member and no free parking. All parking garages around the area is at your risk and had bad reviews.
I would say the hotel definitely deserves a 5-star rating. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the service is great. Many perks are included in a stay, such as free tickets, food credits, and drinks. (not 100% sure if all types of rooms have the same benefits.)
Upscale hotel on the waterfront park in downtown Portland. Clean well appointed rooms, a little short on drawer space. In room coffee, safe and refrigerator. Very nice meeting spaces. Coffee shop and basic restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Comfy cute little room in downtown portland. I’m local but it’s perfect for a night in town.
I was disappointed that they gave only 2 bottles of water daily even though there were 3 of us. The room also does not have a fridge and had a safe which did not work. In addition, there was no self service laundrette where we could wash our laundry. The cleaner who did our room did not do a good job with the toilet - I kept seeing the same cotton bud on the floor next to the bin for the whole time...
Amazing hotel! the rooms were so clean and the staffs were really nice and kind. would like to visit again!
The location is great, also the front desk staffs are nice!
Great location in downtown Portland with frequent light rail connection.

Nice Hotel with good facility. Location is also good and convenient.
Nice hotel in downtown. Good atmosphere and the staffs were very helpful. Would stay here again!
We really like the corner room with city view that we got. It was clean, smell good, the windows are clean, able to see the city. The only thing that bothered us a little is the fact that the rooms are not soundproofed. We could literally hear anything coming out of other rooms lol. The staff at the reception were nice and welcoming. The rooftop bar was cool and beautiful, the price is super reasonable...
The pool area had a few problems but it was nice.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and convenient access to downtown. Comfortable stay for business or leisure. Highly recommended
First time in this hotel, quite good. Good location, good room, separate shower and closet, coffee maker in room. No parking, but there is a valet service. If you bring car you can park in the next block in Jefferson st, comfortable and reasonable price. Housekeeping and waiting quite slow response for services. Overall happy with the stay

We really like this hotel, easy to walk most places. Friendly staff, great for kids!
Great location in the Pearl district and close to all things Portland. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. I wish they had a hot tub to relax in after a long day, but otherwise a great stay.
Good hotel and stuff very nice. Near cowell book stores, breakfast is good
Great location, amenities & very helpful/ friendly staff!
The location of hotel was perfect. Room was cleanliness. I just did not like the noise from heating at night , it was loud that made me could not sleep well.

The staff from valet to cleaning to front desk were all kind and friendly people; they all gave warm and welcoming vibes so it was delight to interact. The room was comfy with a nice firm bed. Everything is a walkable distance (at most was 15 minutes) so the location was great.
All the staff we contacted were very friendly and helpful! I really like the environment and the overall feel of the hotel. Can't wait to go back.
In my opinion the whole thing is a 5 star hotel. The staff couldn't have been better, the hotel is a piece of living history, very well maintained and conveniently located in the city centre. There is a $30 daily service/resort fee, but you can make it back if you take advantage of breakfast, social hour, and snack credits.
Favorite hotel in Portland. Stayed before and after the renovation and each stay was great. Spacious rooms and suites are incredibly comfortable and have a vintage feel while still maintaining modern comfort. Great location in the city center
We had an enjoyable stay for the weekend. Our room on the 9th floor had comfortable beds and a decent amount of space. We had no view on our side of the hotel which is unfortunate but not really under their control. There was either no bathroom fan or it wasn't working but otherwise the bathroom was reasonably modern and clean. The lobby was a great place to hang out and talk, or just to sit and read...
Nice hotel in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great little local coffee stand just outside and close to food truck pods. The elevators suck and you may wait a long time. No pool.

Overall it was a much classier hotel than we expected and it was a great surprise! The lobby area had some great drinks/snacks and the bar was nice. Staff was very friendly!
This is our first time staying here. I really liked this hotel. There are many attractions nearby. There is a decent food truck 3 miles from the hotel that has many options such as Italian, Mexican, Indian, smoothies, etc. The city center is very close to this hotel. The rooms are nice and tidy and have a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.
I travel often and some things are hard for me to please. This place was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The staff's service sets a whole new bar for kindness and thoughtfulness. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing and overall the experience was very good. It was also one of the cheapest places I've stayed, which surprised me with the level of service....
Nice rooms and friendly staff. Close to the convention center. Rooms come with aroma therapy kits and shampoo/lotion/etc. that are nice. The only hotel room I've stayed in that has a recycling bin.
Beautiful hotel! Gave us a free upgrade due to unavailability of rooms. Great pool. Great views. Very friendly staff. Love love love this hotel! Only downside was very limited self parking. They rent out parking spaces during events forcing you to pay for valet.
This was our first family getaway since the birth of our son, about a year ago. We went the self park option, and i actually forgot where we parked. The vallet staff went out with me, and walked through the quite large parking lot until we found my car. The woman checking us in overheard my husband saying how much he loved the bridges and she gave us a room with a spectacular view in between 2 bridges...

Very helpful for last minute bookings. They also have a Tesla charger in the garage! This was a huge bonus! I'll definitely be back!
I haven't stayed at IHG hotel for awhile, I'm glad I did. This cute boutique hotel had amazing customer service. The staff there are very attentive where every guest had a smile. This is a pet friendly hotel which made my 1 year old happy with all the pets around. Pets are greeted with water and a treat! Beautiful hotel with amazing service. My significant other was celebrating a very special occasion and Sasha Miller (concierge) made everything picture-perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Portland.
Fantastic hotel with very comfortable rooms. Lounge area is a great place to spend an hour before heading out on the town. Offerings include free local wines and beers and lots of games like Jenga for the kids to enjoy. Might even be a dog or two laying about chillin in this great atmosphere. The rooms are cool but what really makes them special is they put a bird on the decorations.

Well priced and central location. Easy Checkin process.

Great location and decent gym. The rooms were clean and the service and staff were excellent. There is no onsite parking, but the valet service was excellent.
Close to everything, Monika at front desk got us all set up with cab to go to Kennebunkport and back at reasonable price. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast, pool/sauna, gym, and room were fantastic. I really enjoyed staying there. Thank you all!
Love this place... stay here whenever I'm in Portland. Great location, ez access to downtown and Saturday Market. Comfortable, well appointed rooms....free breakfast is tasty and diverse. Custom omelettes are money! Nice pool/hot tub... adequate gym.
The Embassy Suites is a beautiful old building with original and authentic charm and finishes that are wonderful but also a distraction and hold the place back from its potential. The room was small and tight. The elevators were excruciatingly slow (we often opted to hike six flights of stairs over waiting for the elevator- and successfully beat the elevator!). The restaurant is in the sub basement...
Good hotel. Comfy and spacious room (for two). Great evening drinks and snacks. Lots of options for breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is OK. Thanks for letting us borrow a phone charger when ours stopped working.
Very nice hotel. The staff at the front counter is mixed for quality. One woman at the front counter made sexual jokes to my coworkers and I that were subtle at first but very direct when we returned from dinner. Not a place for that at this nice hotel. The building is historical and beautiful. The food at breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable. Couldn't give 5 stars due to the rude behavior...
Old fashioned hotel that still maintains the charm of the original hotel. Rooms are large suites that are comfortable and well equipped. Very good, good location, close to the university, walking around is good, breakfast is simple. The air conditioner is not very hot and the hot water is a bit lukewarm.
The hotel is located in downtown Portland, making it very convenient to travel to Portland State University, Pioneer Square, shopping, etc. The service staff are all kind, but not efficient? The management is very average. You need to communicate with the front desk every day to clean the room. The room facing the street is noisy. Although the room does not look expensive, there are many other taxes...
The room is clean and tidy and the courtyard has a unique leisure style.
It was a smooth and comfortable stay would stay again thanks
I like the games room my wife and I played the Shuttle Board game that was a lot of fun and also unusual a hotel would have this.
There didn't seem to be any Valet while we pulled up. Turned out he was just hanging out in the lobby. The third floor carpets smelled like they were brand new which is nice if you don't mind the adhesive smell. The bathroom drain was a little scary once the water rose was above my ankles. The grounds were nice, the exterior wall garden was super nice. The attached restaurant was also real nice.

This hotel was so great. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because parking is street and the walls are so thin. I could hear my neighbors whole convo. The room, bed, and shower were great. Super nice hotel is connected to bar. Staff at bar were excellent too.

I've only been to the bar downstairs (Abigail Hall) for after-work drinks and it's nice! Good ambiance, dim lighting, decent enough cocktails. There is a pretty intrusive din there when it's more crowded, but that could work for you if you're meeting a date and want them to lean close when y'all talk ("Whah? Can't hear ya 🤭")
I've stayed at this hotel twice now and it's so beautiful every time. The staff is fantastic and so kind. Isabelle gave us amazing recs in the area. The room is so clean and spacious. There was a lot of construction noise the first time I stayed but it seems like it has stopped. Definitely give this hotel a chance, it's probably one of my favorite places to stay (in the US) and it's women owned!!!
Amazing hotel, staff and rooms. I had a great coffee and delicious bakery item every morning of my 5 day stay. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and shopping.. We had dinner in the hotel first night and definitely a delicious meal worthy of the price.. Drinks in the bar area were fun and exciting ❤️👍😋
Great overall experience. Amazing room, the hotel showcases some phenomenal architecture and decor. Great staff. Good valet service. My only complaint is no coffee in the rooms, you have to head down to the lobby (although you can request it be brought to your room in advance)
We spent a week at The Woodlark in July, and had a great experience! The staff are so welcoming, and helpful and they even upgraded our room. The rooms are beautiful, and stocked with waters, and nice shampoos/lotions, etc although the rooms are pretty small. The hotel is quiet, but there was an event going on Friday night, which was very loud and even on the top floor kept us up until after midnight...
The hotel is stylish and in a nice location. The lobby is beautiful and has a great coffee shop that many people use in the morning and work from. The restaurant is great too, tasty food and wonderful drinks. The rooms are very nice but are a little small. Overall a great staff, the staff are all very nice and helpful.

Made the mistake of booking downtown thinking it would be convenient for going out to eat. I was advised not to walk out in the area, to either drive or take an uber to a restaurant. Hotel is looking and feeling tired. However the room was clean and quiet. No easy place for breakfast nearby.
Great walkable location in the city, nice staff and unique styling! Tiny rooms, but everything else made up for it.
The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated their help and recommendations.
Amazing hotel in art deco design Amazing art deco hotel. Decor was artfully done in the decor matching the art deco architecture right down to the furniture and radio on bed stand! Complimentary happy hour and free old fashioned pinball machines. Comfortable bed. Convenient downtown location

We stayed one night at Hotel Deluxe in a room with one queen bed, booking through Hotwire for the second time after our first visit in 2023. Thank you Kimpton for hosting our wedding, dinner and wedding night! The entire staff was so kind and helpful and made our day so easy, stress free and special. A HUGE thank you to the manager Parker who made sure we had everything we needed, it was truly the best customer service! We will absolutely be back for our anniversary!
I am a Spire and Inner Circle member and Daniel Castedo at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay special. Honestly, he was so easy and kind. I needed help with a special request and he went above and beyond. This is the Kimpton I know.

Very comfortable hotel in a central location. The (unavoidable nowadays, sadly) $30 amenity fee includes a daily $15 credit at the restaurant, making it an affordable option for breakfast.
The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the city center, the neighborhood is safe and there aren't too many homeless people. The room is clean, spacious and the bed is comfortable. Hotel valet parking is more expensive, but there are several parking lots nearby that only cost one-third of the price. I parked in Lot51 public parking lot for three days with no problem.
Nice hotel, clean, well decorated.

Great hotel! Add 25 dollar "amenity" fee that is not advertised. First I thought it was a gip. But all in all you get your money's worth.
