the big size of the bed and the decoration of the room

About as affordable as you may find in the given area. The hotel itself has a deep history and the communal areas reflect all of that. Plenty of character in the lobby and halls! That said, the rooms show all of the age - peeling paint, creaking floorboards, etc. The furniture has all of the consistency in each room and from one room to next of multiple combined garage sales. And although the daytime staff was great and wonderfully courteous, the nighttime staff was a bit rude and disorganized, including giving my in-laws keys to a room that was already occupied! Might consider staying here again if rates are high across the city, but otherwise, not my first SF go-to.

Great hotel with very helpful and knowledgeable staff within walking distance of Union Square and very close to Japan Town. The interior design is very unique wich can both be a plus or a minus depending on your taste, I found it very nice. The WiFi worked well and we were able to stream movies with no interruptions.

The interior is decorated in a Victorian style, which was very interesting and cool to see. The parking situation requires a permit for a specific lot, but it is pretty good for San Francisco.

The Queen Ann Hotel is beautiful with a misterious feel to it. The gorgeous furniture and the amazing breakfast are the icing on the cake. You will surely think you've been transported back in time. Great experience.

This place is amazing. Built in 1889, this is a Victorian Masterpiece. It's not only beautiful to look at, it's wonderfully comfortable. The furniture, the artwork and the friendly staff make this place fun and exciting for anyone who loves history.

Stayed one week here. Good service. Good continental breakfast. No complaint. Just had to tighten the door knob to the bathroom door because its antiquity brought the knobs down on the floor.

Beautiful historical building, friendly staff, comfy beds, lots to see in the area & fun times looking around the hotel. Clean and lovely shower. Although we didn't encounter the "spirits" of the hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our New Year's eve stay. Parking across the street.

Such a beautiful hotel! The staff is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. The location is pretty central, less than a mile from UCSF medical center and walking distance to Japantown.

I never been I there but THERE GHOSTS IN THAT HOTEL GTFO OUT OF IT THERE PLENTY OF BETTER HOTELS THAN THIS I'M WARNING YOU!!!
