The place was impeccably clean, well stocked and comfortable. This place and these ppl made our 40th anniversary pre Hawaiian cruise hotel experience a 100/10 and left me speechless. I LOVED this place. Unfortunately, upon our return the Ritz did not have availability. We were forced to stay at the Fairmont of which I hated. It’s the ritz all the way !! If I coulda given you a thousand stars I would have.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️ WAY TO RUN A HIGH END ESTABLISHMENT!!!!
But i am actually writing to highlight the exceptional service I received from the front desk staff. After getting the rest of the cookies to go, I passed by the front desk where i was greeted with a warm, genuine smile — a small gesture that immediately stood out. When I returned a few minutes later with my request for a bag, he went out of his way twice to the backroom to find the most appropriately sized bag. It may seem like a small task, but the level of care, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction truly left an impression.
He seemed to be the only one who actively acknowledged guests in the area and made a sincere effort to make me feel welcome. a rare quality even in luxury hospitality, especially in San Francisco.
I sincerely hope management recognizes this team member’s five-star level of service. He truly embodies the excellence and hospitality that the Ritz-Carlton name represents.
- Resturant had limited options and expensive! Expensive parking
I was robbed by a hotel doorman while I was a guest. The front desk manager Drew, sent a doorman up while I was out after I specifically told him no one was to touch my things. Drew was rude and arrogant
from my first encounter with him at check in.
When I reported the theft, the 2 front desk employees did nothing but repeat the same canned phrase.
They were to send security and a manager to the room to take my statement, but never did. 2 hours later I was still waiting for security. No one contacted mr. I returned to the front desk and was told, too late I should have have been waiting there if I wanted a report. That is how a supposedly five star hotel treat their who have been robbed by a hotel employee.
The acting manager, who isn’t even on site, Eric Chung, took 3 days to contact me and spoke over me throughout the conversation. He showed little concern and did nothing.
Third rate businesses hire employees such as those.. This Ritz Carlton is third rate.
Nothing was prepared prior to my arrival as per the reservation. The heat was turned off with cold air filling the room in Winter, which no one bothered to repair before assigning that room. An engineer had to come and disrupt my time by banging around in the metal heater panel. He then told me no one followed up on the room as they should have. Poor customer service, theft and not following up are a theme there.
The theft caused extreme stress, days of lost time and money, yet no one from the hotel
reached out to us. We had to contact them repeatedly and still they did nothing.
There are many great places to stay in San Francisco. The Ritz Carlton is not one them. Go elsewhere.
