Hyatt at Olive 8

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. They have all the amenities (reservation required). The well-equipped fitness center is open 24/7. GREAT location in the city center, close to shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, market and train station, but also away from where the homeless/idlers hang out. Felt safe walking around the area at night. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that due to COVID-19 there is no daily housekeeping.

Great location and overall decent value for money. The gym is good for a hotel. Service at the front desk was excellent.

We just spent four nights here for our baby moon and will 100% be back. The entire property is beautiful. They have a wonderful front lobby with a delicious pizza machine (try it seriously) and tables we hung out with friends at. Our room was spacious, loved the huge stand up shower and large vanity. The lighting in the bathroom and provided zoom mirror was a plus - so good for doing makeup. The beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows (best for pregnancy support). They upgraded us to floor 16 and we really enjoyed our city view. We definitely noticed a large presence of families (I imagine the pool is a huge draw). At times we heard the kids next door, or a blow dryer going else where, but we’d just turn on the TV or the provided white noise machine (best feature). We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, but lots of splashing kids so if you’re not into that, may not be for you. We didn’t use the breakfast bar, or eat at the attached restaurant but we walked to their partner hotel and had supper across the street and it was delicious. When we checked in we we’re given a local map and recommendations for restaurants which was so helpful.

Booked this hotel through VISA Luxury Collection program and it seems like the staff is not trained on the benefits. The benefits should include breakfast for 2 and $25 credit eligible for expenses toward food and beverage at the hotel. When inquired about the breakfast, reception Jon said there is no restaurant for sit-down breakfast so it's not offered. Other hotels without a proper restaurant for breakfast would offer a credit to use in the take out cafeteria. So I asked Jon if I would get a credit to use at their Bagel Shop which I knew having breakfast options. He said no and I could use the $25 credit instead. Fired an email to VISA Luxury Hotel support and they assured me two breakfast entrees and beverages were included and would be taken off the bill. We never ended up ordering breakfast there anyway.

Instead we ordered 4 lattes the next morning. When checking out, the front desk agent just said you are all set. Only later, I saw the charge for the lattes appeared on the invoice and the $25 credit never applied. It's not a lot of money compared to the US$440/night room charge. However, it's a matter of principal. When I contacted Hyatt to have this charge reversed, they claimed we had ordered something on the morning prior. We did not arrive at the hotel until 3pm the day prior and we only ordered anything from the Bagel Shop once! Anyways, she reversed the charge without further argument.

This poor experience with VISA Infinite Privilege booking is nothing but VIP. It made me feel like I am paying extra to beg for benefits. The location of the hotel is excellent though. But that's it.

Appreciate Tonia for her quick response. It shows this hotel does care about customer's feedback. My faith in this hotel is restored and will definitely stay here again when visiting Seattle.

The building is very unique looking with its blue glass. The staff have all been very nice and will help with anything you need. The Hotel itself is very clean and quite. The rooms were very accommodating and comfortable. If there was anything I would want it would be a microwave in the room but it isn't a must have. All and all it was a great place to stay.

Lovely well appointed, clean and modern hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are great, only marginally let down by a lack of power connections by the bedside table (twin room) and a lack of breakfast tea option. The shower and bathroom is well designed. Breakfast option is quite limited but the hotel recommend some great options nearby. All in all a great experience.

One of my favorite hotels in Seattle. We immediately were upgraded to a larger suite when checking in, which was totally unexpected. Beautiful hotel with plenty of fantastic amenities. I didn’t even know there was a pool and spa, but I will definitely plan on utilizing these in the future. Staff was wonderful and polite, plenty of social seating downstairs, and a fantastic and comfortable room. More than happy to have stayed here and will do so again in the future!

This is the best rated place in the area. I've lived here for a long time. If you stay a few days, you definitely won't be disappointed. Great location and overall decent value for money. This hotel is great. I've been staying here every year for PAX. The staff is excellent and they will do everything to make sure you have a great stay. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location is two blocks away from the convention center and Paramount theater and plenty of restaurants around. Definitely will stay here again!

Loved our overnight stay. The room was clean, modern and spacious. Queen size beds, unlike the double bed in mist hotels Downtown. The saltwater pool was lovely as was the hot tub. The changing room/steam and sru sauna were amazing. Showers have all you need, even hair brushes to use! Staff were friendly and quick to respond.
