Reviews
On a positive note, the hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Pike Place Market.
The room does have a table and chair and couch and a Keurig and a small refrigerator. The best thing about this hotel is the restaurant. I had an amazing lunch there.
Hygiene: clean and no pitfalls
Environment: relatively safe surrounding, within a ten-minute walk from Amazon headquarters and Pike Market; Haidilao is in the mall next to it; a little far from Third Street, but you have to pass by it when you go to Pike Market; five minutes walk from the subway station
Service: Check in at night, the front desk handles it quickly, bottled water in the room costs $7
At the first night, I was hit with a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. This smell was so strong that it made it difficult for me to fall asleep until around 2 PM. I complained to the hotel staff about the smell, but he seemed unconcerned and simply stated carelessly that the smell was from the wood grill in the restaurant and there was nothing he could do because its restarant issue. He offered to subtract the destination fee from my bill as compensation, but I noticed that this fee was still charged after I checked out.
My room was located next to the roof of the restaurant, and the smell of smoke was coming up from the fan on the roof. I tried to open the windows to air out the room, but more smell came in. I eventually found a blind that I could close to keep the smell from coming into the room, but I had to purchase a scent diffuser to help mask the odor.
In addition to the smoke smell, the room was also very small and did not have a desk. This made it difficult for me to work in the room.
Overall, I was disappointed with my stay at your hotel and would not recommend it to others.
First, the good. The location is great. It was within walking distance of the Link light rail, buses, and most everything we wanted to see. There are lots of good restaurants nearby and just a short walk down to the waterfront and Pike Place market.
Second, the okay. The staff seemed very nice in our few interactions. The only head scratcher for me was upon arriving I asked for a recommendation for a good place to eat nearby (told him I was looking for good, but not fancy) his first suggestion...The Cheesecake Factory. I knew then we were probably on our own. Turns out, there are lots of good places around, I just hoped the man at the front desk might be a good place for a quality suggestion.
Third, the bad. The room is small. I mean, really, really small. The Deluxe is advertised as 165-250, we must have gotten a 165. There was enough room to walk around the bed, but you had to be careful not to knock the TV off the wall. All of this is not too bad, we didn't go to Seattle to lounge in the room. However, it was a pain to not have a single thing to even put a suitcase on. The bed was also quite uncomfortable. This may be because we recently got a mattress that we love, but this one was not good. I did wake up sore a couple of the mornings. The worst of all when it came to the size of the room, however, was the bathroom. The toilet was, without exaggeration, 3 inches from the glass wall of the shower. This is exceptionally uncomfortable.
So, I guess it depends on where you put your value if this Hotel would be worth it for you. I do not foresee staying here again.
The rooms at Hotel Theodore are a haven of cleanliness and comfort. Each space is meticulously maintained, featuring clean rooms that serve as a peaceful retreat. The comfortable beds promise a restful night’s sleep, enveloping guests in luxury and tranquility.
Culinary delights await at the on-site restaurant, Rider. The great food is matched by an ambiance that is both sophisticated and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. Also, there is a cafe conveniently located in the hotel lobby, where they offer fantastic coffee and a selection of pastries.
