An exceptional hospitality experience at The Charter on our "short" Seattle weekend trip. We arrived early and the staff accommodate our requests in a very warm welcoming way. The rooms are TOP NOTCH! There is not much city-view from the room due to the neighboring buildings, the hotel however is placed in the heart of Pike Marketplace and walkable to almost all attractions in downtown. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Why not 5 stars? We took the opportunity to try the "Fog Room" on the 16th floor. Our experience here was quiet the opposite to the hotel. While the hotel is welcoming, the fog room isn't. The service there is ordinary and the staff doesn't live up to the spirit of being part of a marquee hotel. Tad bit disappointing.

We stayed here before cruise departure. Beds were HORRIBLE!!! If you have a bad back or are 40+ yrs, the bed is not good unless you like super soft, no support. Night agent during check in hardly looked at us and was not friendly at 9pm checkin on 10/4. Ate dinner in the restaurant. Food was good but overpriced which was somewhat expected with proximity to the market. Mary, server in the restaurant, was the best part of the dining and stay experience. Easy walking distance to market and train line from airport. Despite great location, good food and great restaurant service, I would rather stay somewhere else for better bed at $300+ a night plus tax and fees.

We had two rooms. The first room was fine.
The second room was a problem.
After we checked in and put our luggage in the room, we went to dinner. Upon returning to the hotel, the door would not open. The lock was non-responsive. We tried to get new keys, and security tried to open the door. Finally, the front desk said that the maintenance team would be available to open the door tomorrow morning at 7 a.m.
At this point, the front desk seemed overwhelmed. When I asked what we'd do about our toiletries, he responded that he was also inconvenienced and 'just hold on'
While I can appreciate the challenges of the service industry, this young man seemed more interested in being annoyed than he was in fixing the fact that we had no clothes or toiletries.
The front desk said the room with our luggage and toiletries would be open at 7am.
They called at 3am to say they would open the door at 4am and "be ready" ...
It also seems unsafe that a door can only be unlocked by the maintenance team, who is NOT on-site 24 hours a day. The miscommunications around expectations and customer service left a bad overall taste in our stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Charter Hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 9am with the expectation that our room wouldn’t be ready yet, but were pleasantly surprised when we were able to go up to it immediately. The front desk team is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely with beautiful lighting, comfortable beds, and ample charge ports. Additionally, the shower was one of the best I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Around sunset, we strolled over to the vibing rooftop bar, The Fog Room, and got some tasty drinks and yummy food to wrap up the evening.
Overall, we were so thankful to be able to relax here after a long trip. I truly did not want to leave in the morning.

Stayed for one night post cruise. Great location to pike market and easily walkable. Also not a bad walk to the pier. After dark it gets a bit sketchy but that’s all of Seattle. Great service from the front desk staff especially Sara and Sarah. Rooms are very spacious with a huge bathroom and were very clean. Easily fit our family is 4. Bit pricey but worth it for what we got.

TV was well-positioned. The bathroom set up with a separate toilet room was very good. Location walking distance to restaurants, night life great!

An upscale hotel close to Pikes market place (only 2 blocks) and Target is just 1 block down the road too.
Positives:
✅Comfy beds and beautiful bathrooms. White linen and goose down pillows.
✅The showers were perfection. Big showers with 2 spray heads.
✅The staff were friendly and helpful
✅Elevators were prompt- Just use your key card to access your floor
✅The gym was well equipped and usually vacant in the evening. There were extra towels and sometimes water bottles available.
Negatives:
➖This hotel is higher end, meaning not many amenities in the room except a Keurig and a beverage fridge (was not as cold as a regular mini fridge so not cold enough to safely store leftovers and there's no microwave anyways) It is expected for you to go to their restaurant for breakfast and/or out on the town for all other meals.
➖$25 service fee that is "use it or lose it." It can be used in their overpriced snack bar or in the restaurant for breakfast or the bar upstairs.
➖ There is a sauna, but the steam room was under maintenance.
➖ We had a view of the parking ramp and alleyway, which was kind of a bummer but we were in the room so little it didn't bug us.
FYI
Valet parking is $60/night or park yourself for $25/night.

One of the nicer hotel rooms I’ve stayed in during my travels. The staff was very friendly and helpful when checking me in and out. Parking was an issue, it says valet but the place where you would pull up was full so I had to do a loop around a few blocks to get back on track. Luckily if you go down the road a half a block or so there is a garage that was adequate. Big perk of this place is its within walking distance of a lot of stuff, definitely check it out.

Great location, near the Seattle Public Market, and the hotel seems new, fresh, and modern. The rooms are very nice, and it has good amenities that included a gym, spa, restaurant, and a bar on the top floor. I also liked the added security feature of reqiring your room card to select a floor when you get in the elevator. Unfortunately, It's a good feature to have, as the surrounding area has a lot of homeless, many of whom seem to be on drugs, and some appear to be dangerously mentally ill. (sad, but true).

I have stayed at the Charter Hotel for many nights. It has become new favorite! You would think because they are downtown near everything right? Maybe the rooms are extremely nice. It is the customer service mixed with hospitality and personalized experience for me. Ms. Candice from the overnight shift makes sure everything is perfect. Candace greets me by name to having my normal snacks ready for me to walk out the door at 4am. Everyone at the hotel is wonderful. However, to be greeted by Candice at 4am with a smiling face means the world to me. Makes my day every time I stay.

The place is in a great location but our experience was quite unpleasant. We stayed here on a corporate booking. At check-in, the receptionist was aware of the corporate booking but still charged my personal credit card for the stay. In the room, when we drew the curtains, we saw a rotten cookie on the floor which was disgusting. We requested some toiletries and literally, one tiny toothpaste tube was sent for two people. There is no access to a microwave. There is no cereal at the 24/7 store which is ridiculous. They only have candies and medicines.
