Best Western Melbourne City

A short overnight visit en route to a day surgery. Room was small but clean, linen very clean and comfortable. Hot water is not consistent, shower runs hot & cold, this needs addressing. I am a loyal user of this property.

Clean and nice service. Arrived early in the morning, let me early check in to get the time fresh it and take a rest before start my business day.

The stay was small as I only needed it for one night, but the room itself was also quite small. The room had a single bed on wheels that would move very freely whenever I tried to sit down on it. The bathroom, however, was the most surprising as it was way too small, even for just myself. I noticed the toilet was rather close to the sink, so I tried to sit on the toilet and I physically could not do it because the sink was in the way of my legs. I had to walk sideways into the shower to use it and water was shooting very fast at the wall opposite, so showering was tricky. There is also a lift / elevator that is currently out of commission and pears to being repaired, yet the sign for the other lift appears not to be installed correctly.

This is quite the disappointment for a Best Western hotel and the discounted cost of $90 was still too much to pay for what I received. I would possibly tolerate paying $60 - $70 per night for a room like that (at regular price) just because of the location and literally nothing else, but it is not worth the regular cost of well over $100 per night and there are less expensive hotels nearby that provide bigger and better rooms.

The stay was okay. If you just need a place to sleep, it will be perfectly fine.

I recently stayed at the Best Western in Melbourne and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions and public transport. The room was comfortable and clean, offering all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Melbourne!

We booked three single beds. It was clean and acceptable, but there were sometimes issues with the hot water, which was frustrating. You may need to shower at night or too early in the morning.

Recommended! I can say that my experience with Best Western is very pleasant. I stayed here for one night and have to catch the next train early morning. I requested if I was able to check in early as I have to check out the next day at 6AM. Luckily the room was available. The lady at the counter was very nice, she welcomed me and helped me when I was having a trouble in opening the door with the swipe card. The room is enough for 1 person, it's not too small for me, not noisy and really comfortable. I appreciate the cleanliness and the space that I have. Thank you, I will surely stay here again when I visit Melbourne.

This hotel is near the southern cross station which is the destination of the skybus from airport. It’s very convenient to go back and forth to the southern cross station. In CBD, there is a free tram zone in which people have no needa tap on or off their myki card, and the hotel is close to tram stations too. Also, it’s walking distance between the hotel and flinders station/ Lune/ Pidapipó CBD. If you book one day tour, tour guide usually pick you up at Great Southern Hotel, which is next to this hotel.

The hotel offers 247 reception. Check-in and Check-out were quick. Body wash and shampoo were provided, but not toothpaste and toothbrush.
The room was small but good enough for a person.

The room is kind of too small but the service is okay
